calls and hangs up

we moved from one town to next given new phone number, now receiving numerous
phone calls from 786-207-2547 looking for another person who we do not know. Will
not stop calling.

This is a predatory company along with all collection companies. they charge fees that are insane and it is a crime that your government has let go on for too long. Insanity.

very helpful. what was your provider? I live here in south FL and continues hang ups. I work in the collection industry, no boos yet! student loans and also business accts. So I got the address and co. name sent a certified, must be certified letter and requested they stop calling my house number, work number and or anyone ever listed as a co-signer in the past or anyone used as a reference.
I got the signed cert back but the calls keep coming, now for the  FCRA. sent a letter and photo copy of 2 cert letters. these monkies buy up old paper( collection term for a debt that has been through several agencies)  and is most likely past the legal limit to collect on. HOWEVER, if you initiate any payment or admit to owing anything on the old debt and make a payment plan then the debt and all the back payments,interest,etc start all over again from that date going forward and it can then be reported to the credit bureau. for up to seven years starting from the last payment. SO PLEASE, do not answer the number, have your local phone service block the number if available in your area and send a letter asking for proof of debt owed and to whom along with a certified letter asking the agency to not call you at or work etc. they love to get a ten or even a 15 year loan started up again. remember after your default, if any, they can only report the default for 7 years so their is no reason to deal with any new collection agency. you can also write to the credit bureaus and get a free hard copy of your credit once per year and then write to each bureau asking them line by line (detailed) that you dispute this report from company a line number 1 in the amont of x dollars and cents. then the party that reported it only has a very small amount of time to dispute your claim with original documents or the bureau has to by law remove it from your credit bureau thus increasing your credit score. I would challange each and every thing reported to the credit burea and deny owing the bill and see what happens. In MOST cases the Credit bureau doesn't hear from the creditor and they remove all negative marks for that acct, so do it for all. It is worth it and you can come up with a letter on your computer and save the denial letters and proof of negative reporting and then just put the new company in the template on your word document. it is so worth it to see your credit move up in a matter of months and then they can never report it again to the bureau once they have lost.

This # keeps calling me, I dont owe any debt. I paid it all off and had it all taken care of because I am buying a house. They have no reason to be calling me. You should never give anyone attempting to colelct a debt, information via the phone. I worked with a credit repair company and they said it's illegal. You tell the person on the phone to stop calling you, if they have your mailing address they must mail you a statement as to what debt you SUPPOSEDLY owe and you will look into it. Then hang up. If it doesn't stop, you can do a cease and desist:

had identity theft
these people are in violation of phone harrassment laws
and will be dealt with severely for being on a no call list

I need this phone # 786-207-2547 reported to the FCC for constant harrassing calls all hours of day and evening at both cell and business land line.  This has been continuous for almost 2 years.  I'm in Florida,  reported this when it first started but obviously no action has been taken.

This number has been calling for months, in some instances several times a day. I never answer unknown, or out of area callers - it is always a telemarketer. I have them on call block, but it is still annoying.  How can they be made to stop?

The calls are getting irritating

They started calling a few days ago. It says Unknown Name and I do not answer Uunkown Name calls. I have not had a credit card in nine years. I cleared up my debts and now pay cash. Nine years is past any statute of limitations plus I paid off - made arrangements with the banks and settled my accounts. And these bottom feeders are trying to dredge up some money from what was paid off in agreement nine years ago. They left 2 hang-ups on my voice mail. Well not exactly hangups - one has a breath on it and on the other a woman says "one" and then click.
DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE PEOPLE!!!! They will f*&% up your credit.

786-207-2547 calls me twice a day and hangs up when it goes to voicemail.

I called the number back and they answered "First National Credit Bureau."

Google this company name. You will find endless allegations of scamming debt collections and lawsuits against this seemingly fraudulent "company".

same here, hang up, no message... 6x's a day, I blocked them as well!

Actually, that number is not from Indiana. That # is from North Dade, Florida. If you GOOGLE it, you'll find hundreds of complaints about hang-ups and back-back calls, and never a message. I had the same problem w/them. My phone provider has a number block available, which stopped these calls from getting thru anymore, check if yours does too, very effective!!!!
