Received call moments ago from 786-230-1069 and the caller never said a word and I repeatedly said hello.  What's so strange about this is my telephone number was changed today.  I want it stopped immediately, especially since today is the first day I received this number.

At this time, I can't add much to the comments aready here. I tried to talk to them several times when they called, but they hung up each time -- even after someone was on the line, and spoke to me. I will find out more, and share it with you when I do. I hope others will talk to them, and get specific information about them.

Telemarketer
I regret that I have no useful information to add. They have called many times; only on week days. Between two and four calls per day; two calls so far today. Two of the calls were within 6 minutes of each other.

This is not guesswork. My fax phone prints out Caller ID information, so there is hard copy proof. Moreover, I photograph a second Caller ID box. There is no question about the calls, or the pattern. The only question is, "Who calls?"

I have answered several times, and the answering machine picked up all the rest of the times; there is no legitimate purpose for calling, getting an answer EACH TIME, then hanging up and calling again.

Most of the times when I answer, they disconnect immediately. Once today, I answered during the second ring. Hang-up.

The only time someone came on the line, she asked for me by name. I then told her to put us on their Do Not Call List, to never call back, and to comply with all state and federal laws which apply to that call. (Various laws require that they give information like their own name, the name of the company they're calling from the purpose of the call, and a phone number.)

She hung up.

That's the call which was followed six minutes later by another. I let the machine get the second call, because I knew if I picked up, I would fill the caller's ear with invective, vitriol, and possibly profanity. All of which would probably have been at a high volume. For the same reason, I can't call the number in the Caller ID. I would likely lose my cool, be unkind, and fail to get any useful information. When I get a chance, I sometimes have my wife call folks like this and ask questions.

This Web site may or may not be theirs:
http://www.isntelcom.com/

This call is apparently from MIAMI Florida, and the carrier is apparently PAETEC COMMUNICATIONS, INC. - FL. That appears to be a wireless company, so the scum who do the harassment may be using a wireless number to avoid detection of their true identity.

I assume this is telemarketing, but there is no way I can be sure at this time. If I find more specific information, I will come back and post it.

Meantime, complaints to FCC and FTC.

I expect to collect thousands of dollars from this entity, and will file a lawsuit this week. With a subpoena, I can obtain detailed information about the company, which I will come back and post.

PLEASE -- use this site as a tool for good, and YOU DO THE SAME! Don't bother to echo any of what has already been posted. A thousand people -- even if all on one day -- whining that they got a call, or that the callers do not leave messages, merely wastes the time of others. When people come here to look for useful information, it's not useful to know that ten or ten thousand other people had the same experience. The true name of the company, the business address, contact person, phone number, etc. are the kinds of information needed.
