There are complaints about them all over the internet for harassing people that do not owe the debt, threatening to arrest people for a debt, telling people the only way they'll stop calling is to pay "court costs" on an alleged suit they filed, etc.  According to some of the MANY complaint pages and numbers they've called using, it seems they call about debts that are 5-10 years old, don't care if they were paid or not because they want money.  There are people who have fallen for this, and stated that they paid, and are STILL waiting on getting the documentation of the debt from them.  Of course, their story is that they sent it out ... yeah, right.
What's laughable is one page on their website that says they follow the law during collection attempts.  OBVIOUSLY, NOT!  THEY have an F rating with the FL BBB (see below).

By the way, it would seem to me that, IF you had a bad debt, it would show on your credit report (if still eligible to be reported).  IF you do have a bad debt on your credit report, you might want to consult an attorney and/or the original creditor, rather than these folks who obviously could care less about the law.  [I am NOT an attorney, nor do I profess to be one.  I am NOT dispensing ?legal advice,? simply giving my opinion!]

IF they were calling about a legitimate debt, they would NOT be calling to see if you'll be home all day on certain day to "deliver legal documents" or "subpeona."  A legit collector CANNOT discuss your bill with anyone else OR threaten to arrest you and/or send you to debtor's prison, etc.

It also occurs to me that, particularly on the GreenDot/Prepaid card ?payments,? since they are apparently difficult to trace, I seriously doubt they are reporting these funds on their income taxes === tax evasion.  (That?s the way they finally got Al Capone!)  The IRS has forms for reporting suspected evasion, and even a reward form you can complete for if you help them catch the folks!

   I personally don?t care WHICH branch of the government goes after these people, as long as THEY get REAL FEDERAL ARREST WARRANTS out on them!!  So, if you?ve been taken in by these folks, besides filing with the above, don?t forget the IRS!  (You KNOW they like going after money!!!)

It may not help, but it certainly wouldn?t hurt to fill the mailboxes at the White House with letters about these folks.  If the President wants to get involved with courts and everyday peoples? lives, then he needs to get involved in THIS!

SUGGESTIONS (again, I am NOT an attorney and am NOT attempting to dispense legal advice.  These are my PERSONAL suggestions)
1-IF you decide to answer one of their MANY calls from about 50 different telephone numbers (no, I?m not exaggerating), give them NO INFORMATION.  In fact, YOU MAKE THEM ANSWER QUESTIONS, and if they don?t, hang up on them!   I don?t know anything about spoofing/masking numbers, but there have been comments that they are VOIP?ing the majority of the numbers they?re calling from.  I do not doubt this, as a person said the number showing on her phone was that of the local police department.
2-Keep a running log of the date, time, telephone number, person calling and note of conversation to file with your complaints.  (Or, try to record the call, BUT they usually hang up when they?re told they?re being recorded.  ROFLOL, now how many LEGITIMATE collection agencies would do that?  NONE that I?ve ever heard!
3-Look up your state?s Statute of Limitations on debts that can be pursued in court (that you can still be sued for).  It seems to vary from 3-15years.
4-DO NOT allow them to intimidate or frighten you.  These idiots have even called the numbers attorneys, police officers, etc. with this scam.  Intelligent, they are NOT.  

USUAL PLOYS:
1-call friends, neighbors, relatives, employers, and you trying to intimidate you into paying JUST to make the calls stop (but, from looking online, they don?t stop?they just demand more). ? Ask these folks to also keep a log of the calls, give them this internet page to check.  Ask them to do a search for ANY of these company names.  They?ll soon realize it that these people are nothing but SCAMMERS.
2-??have important legal documents (or summons) to deliver, will you be home ---(day) from 8:30 to 4:30 to accept it??
3-?There?s a warrant out for your arrest UNLESS you send us $xxx TODAY?  -- they seem to prefer asking for the ?Green Dot? prepaid card and want you to call back with the numbers on back ? harder to trace where to $ goes, apparently.

PLEASE, continue to list phone numbers they call from, and give as call-back numbers, so everyone can stay updated!

AND, do NOT let these fools intimidate or aggravate you.  Just laugh in their faces and ruin THEIR day!
Better yet, treat them like the 2yr olds they seem to imitate ... tell them they're fixing to get a "TIME OUT" if they don't ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS:
EXACT NAME, ADDRESS, AND LOCAL TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE OFFICE THEY'RE CALLING FROM ... AND THEIR CEO's NAME.

If they refuse or try to talk over you, simply hang up!  You are NOT GOING TO GIVE THEM ANY information!
If they refuse to PROPERLY AND PROFESSIONALLY identify themselves, they have NO business to conduct with you!

YOU are the BOSS!  Don't forget that!

BUT, these people do NOT care.

It happens because they are "spoofing" someone else's number.  Apparently they use VoIP ... I'm not computer person, so don't understand the "how" of it, just understand that this is how numbers are faked.

I am continually receiving calls for a Amber Geterding.  They are wanted her to pick up some legal papers for signature.  I am not even located in Florida.  I have told them that she has never had this number and to stop calling.  I am going to block their number from my cell phone

I looked up Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Flordia. theres a site  under Frequently ask questions. Who do I get to serve papers I found a list of people that has that service. I went through thelist  of  phone numbers and couldnot find the phone number 7862336732 but a few donot have a phone number listed, there  is a contact info   If anybody wants to check this number out farther maybe this can help. maybe you can find something I missed.

This place keeps calling my husband day they are in the legal process of a civil law suit and they wany to serve him say they have a case#  and give him a number to call. 877 588 7426. This is a scam.  They have called several times with a threat to serve papers the next day.  The 'next day' has come and gone several times.  They never assure that they are talking to the correct person.  So they are giving credit information to a third party.  Also, I have attempted to call back several times to tell them again to stop calling. This number does not receive calls.  It goes quickly to a hang up.  What kind of legitimate business would operate this way.  In one conversation I asked for the company name:  Civil processing or some such name.  That is not a name.  It is a department.  This is a Fake.

This number is a nuisance. They've called several times wanting to serve legal documents to some other person.  Told them that person does not live here.  they continue to call.  Today they called and I just blew a loud whistle.  They immediately called back, my grandson blew the whistle louder and longer.  They immediately called again and I screamed at them to not call this number again and the idiot says  "you need to hush up"  When is the law, phone company or whoever going to do something to stop these people.  unlisted numbers do no good, reporting them doesn't stop them.  What else can we do?

Scammers! They call and say that you owe money because you took out a online payday loan and never paid it back. You have numerous calls mean't to shock and scare you into wiring them money for a debt you don't owe! They also say stupid things about they are gonna take warrants out on you, the cops are on the way to your house to pick you up etc...
Report them to your state Attorney General's office!

Something about delivering legal papers to a Christina Blevins and seeing if she'd be available to receive them. No clue who that is, never heard the name. Guessing they just misdialed the number or something.

FYI, if they called your job and said all that, you have a lawsuit you can file. They shouldn't disclose anything to your employer or to anyone except you. Not family, neighbors friends, no one. 3rd party disclosure.

been getting calls from this number didnt bother talking to them after reading this. i put them on my phones blacklist. Ive been searching for a job recently that involved me sending my resume online, wonder if this is connected anyhow due to data mining...

I checked White Pages.com about this number.  It listed the number as belonging to Peerless Network landline from Miami, FL.  I don't know if that helps any though.  Maybe someone can track that down.

received these calls got information as to that I wrote a bad check at check n go, was scared because my info was stolen in the past by some one none to do so, so I called check n go as well as other people lawyers and dmv, and police, courts, all telling me that the civil procedures company was full of it, needless to say I have yelled in to the phone you guys are a scam, they told me that I was wrong and was writing bad checks all over town, I don't own checks only a debt card good lord im mad!

i just got a call from them as well. i have been keeping my bills and logging all bill collectors numbers. I have had my current phone number for about 2 years now, and the person that had this number before was a Jessica Salazar. I have told these people i am not affiliated/associated with Salazar and they don't believe me because my first name is Jessica. I try to verify who i am, but they will not accept my information as valid. i like to think i am building quite a case. one day i got 3 calls from the same company, but different numbers. how does that happen? these people think they are tricky, but they cannot and will not get away with continued harassment, especially since the person they are harassing isn't the person they are needing to harass.

They keep calling me and asking for some other girl, telling me that she needs to go to court. I told them that they have the wrong number. I'd they'd listen to my voicemail, they'd hear that my name is not Giovanna. I added them to my reject list on my Samsung Galaxy so when they call they go straight to voicemail.

They won't stop calling. It's a total scam.
