Hi!! I got charges of $14.280 charged through 888-301-2321+GALATHEE from my CC. I have recently taken this CC. Please help me anyone to get back this money. Recently I have visited some of the porn sites. Is this because of that.. Please help me how to proceed. I am new to this. Help me.......

Same thing just happened to me.  They got me for ~$13.  I called and had some trouble with the automated system but finally spoke to a representative who said that "yes, we've been getting a lot of calls like this".  It said I had joined a site in October 2008 and I had never been charged until now.  Ridiculous!  Anyway, guy was super nice and quickly terminated the account so nothing will happen again.  I guess this is just another reason to always monitor your account statements.

For all you wondering what to do - there have been several posts with the information but here is what I did and what my bank said to do:

1)  Although some of you have gone through the process of entering your card information, my bank said not to because this confirms that your card is good and may not actually cancel anything.  Additionally, the charges may not come off.
2) Our bank (Wachovia) treated it like the fraud it is as we never gave our card information to anyone and if we did years ago, then the permission to use it has expired.
3) You report it to the fraud division of your bank, fill out the affidavit and the charges will come off.  If you need help go to your bank but you can just as easily report it online or by phone.

We don't do porn, but even if we did, if these sites are designed to cover up a person's interest, it doesn't seem on the up and up to have such a convoluted way to resolving charges.

It's interesting that one person mentioned a on-line dating site as that is where (in 2003) my husband and I met years ago which means that these companies are maybe "buying" old accounts no longer active and culling the information.

SO, CALL YOUR BANK / CREDIT CARD COMPANY - THAT'S THE BEST ROUTE.

Last week I was reconcilling my CC account and found this charge on my CC for 14.95,  Galathee Singapore.
Today B of A calls and tells me that some unconmmon actiity has showed up on my CC,
It was from the Apple Store and a couple of other charges one was Viro Internet and Scype, Have never heared of either,
B of A is going to investigate and clear the charges,

i got a charge on my cc for $8.76. i don't know what it is from and i will not give my cc number over the phone to see why they charged me.

I recently Bought something online from American Music.. i dont know if this has anything to do with it or not.. but it is the only thing i have bought online in a while.. this has happened to me before.. all you have to do is contact your bank.. they will give you the instructions you need to get your money back.. you will have to have a copy of a email stating for them to cease any other transactions with your card number and that they did not and do not have permission to use your card.. send that to your bank via email as a CC or BC with the message... hope this helps you all

I would not believe them for a second. I would defineitly cancel your card and get new card numbers. I had to do it. They charged my bank card for $12.34. The whole thing is a scam. Even the person you talked to is in on it and they will charge your account again. I tried to call them and got an answering machine that sounded like a cell phones voicemail message. It's pretty sad that you cant trust anybody now-a-days. Good luck

This is exactly what my bank told me to do also. My finace and i met on a dating site and i think this is how they got our card number.

BofA put a hold on my account. About 3 months ago I signed up with a valid credit monitor system and about that time I got this fee for similiar amount so I thought it was my fault and I would check into it later and thinking if I had two companies watching my credit-it wouldn't hurt. I had quite a scare earlier. Well, it is a good thing BofA put a hold on my account. They said  fraudulent companies, first start out with a small amount to see if you monitor it and then they get you for alot more. It was a bit embarrasing and maddening at the Grocery Store buying Thanksgiving food and having to put it back because of the hold, but at least I will have money to afford food later rather than eat pinto beans and macaroni cheese until it gets figured out. Yeah i found the same on my cc acount what do i do now? how do i stop this? yeah i am also knew at this, did visit some porn sites and now i get email all the time. i still don't know how to stop that, i just don't open them any more. but now i need to stop these charges, how do i do this?  CAN SOME BODY HELP ME?

I recently saw a charge on my credit card from 888-301-2321+GALAT SINGAPORE.  I did a Google search and found this site.  I called and the lady that was dealing with my customer service was very rude and would not even tell me what site the account was tied to.  Nor was she able to give me an email address that the attached to the account when I said I wanted it canceled.  If I am giving the credit card attached to the account why shouldn't I see the email address associated with it?

She said they canceled it and sent me an email, which I never received.  I am calling my bank, because this is real credit card fraud.

I also have been charged $12.00 for what I dot know. How do i stop it

An amount of Rs.601-64 (equivalent to US $.12-66 was charged to my Visa Card as on 04-03-2010 and GALATHEE SINGAPORE SG- 888-301-2321 is mentioned against the said entry. As  I have not made this transaction,and the same appears to be a fraudulent. May I seek you help to identify the real culprit and to punish him as per the law.

Hey im from singapore and just wanna clear things here.. Well, Galathee Singapore could be from singapore but the phone number is certainly not of those from Singapore.. Some people may make use of Singapore good reputation to put its name on thier company.. Its completely false..

I just checked my CC statement and noticed that I got charged $14.18 on the 14th.
I definitely did not charge my debit card that day.
I'm about to call this number to see if I can somehow get this money refunded.
I followed the link: basicbills.com and entered my info to see what they charged me for.
It was some porn site, Divixx? Or something, like that.
Apparently I subscribed for it some time ago, and JUST now does it decided to become active.
I admit that I've probably signed up for one of those "free" trials - but was always sure to cancel the subscription!
I thought that maybe I just forgot one or something -- but after reading everyone's comments, it's starting to sound like a scam.
I'm definitely considering calling them and seeing if I can somehow resolve this!!!

If you let it go with out pressing any buttons, you can actually get a real person.  I called my bank and was refunded the charges.  Good luck.

Wow now i see why 1 in 8 people get scamed on the internet, its down to people like these! Just check my bank to and found there no 888-301-2321. And chrge for around $10. Just the cost of the phone call concerns me a bit. Will definitley look into these, whatever scam site this has amounted from.

Glad I found these messages. Not only for the $14.32 fee, but my bank charges a Foreign Transaction Fee (for the benefit of the CEO's bonuses, no doubt). But for the record, no one called me.

When my fiance and I called, the woman on the line said that she couldn't get the bank to accept a refund. We're going to call back later this week if the money doesn't show up and threaten to charge them with credit card fraud. And all this started because we gave our card info to a fake dating site.

I also just received a bill for 14$ from this Galathee Singapore company , I have no idea who they are and how they got my credit card # but I will be contacting my bank.

Stated they are third  party billing Basica Bill .com. They happen to handle internet porn billing
Anyhow I am getting a refund... I think for me it is as simple as my credit card number was stolen...
He stated the time and day the charge was done and I was not on line at all that time.. NEVER MIND looking at TEEN PORN
