Got another call today from someone claiming to be from TV guide. A lot of call-center jabber going on.  Our current subscription runs out in January of 2015.   Said subscription price was going up and they want to "lock in" an amount which is more than what I'm paying now.  No call-back number.  Said they were calling form Virginia.   Said  she really wasn't from TV guide but only someone who gets subscriptions for them.   Right!   Said her company was Elite but would not give me a phone number.

Total scam.  

Told her I knew what she was doing and told her there was no way she was getting my CC#.

Got a call at about 7:30 PM  PST a SUNDAY NIGHT 11-24-2013  by someone claiming to be from TV Guide,  Said  TV guide is going up from 54 dollars  a year to 70 dollars a year.  Said he just wanted to know if we are getting our copies and that if so, another person would call and "Set up the billing" to "lock us in" a lower rate.     Which is a load of nonsense.  What legitimate company calls subscribers up on a Sunday night?  They just wanted to get a CC number.  No way.  Told him the call was recorded .  He hung up pretty mad. Said he was from Norfolk Va.  No call back, but I think it was this 786 area code number.    

Just got a call from these scumbags. Rude a** pushy scumbags trying to steal our hard earned money. Beware they are trying to rob you. DO NOT give them your CC numbers.

I received a call from this number regarding my subscrption to Natural Health(which I am not renewing
due to saving money.  The person asked about my credit card # ...I told him that wasn't my number but did not give my number since I knew it was I was being scammmed.  I told them I had already cancelled my subscription and they insisted I had renewed in November of 2011.
I asked to speak to a manager who was very agressive and I told him I was hanging up since I am on the NO CALL list and I was going to report this incident .(which I did)

Just got a call from 786-235-5683 stating that I renewed family circle, women's day and better homes and gardens.  I did not renew those magazines.  Asked if I renewed ladies home journal I answered yes.  Wanted to know if I was a senior citizen because they made an error in my bill.  The subscription was $49.99 they said and would give it to me for $19.99.  I paid by check $11.98 for two years and said if it was going to cost me more to cancel it.  They hung up!

My mother just received a call from 786-235-5683 and the girl Danielle asked how my mother was enjoying her Soap Opera subscription and then told my mother was resubscribed until 2016 for $800.

I heard my mother explain that she wasnt happy with the service and wanted to cancel but the woman was arguing with her that she needed to give her cc number. My mother is sick and has only a few months left (cancer) and told the woman that. thats when i took the phone from my mother and asked what this was all about. Danielle (probably a fake name) ask if knew what day my mother was going to die!!!!! WTF??!!??!!?? I was fumed. I asked her if she was effing serious to which she replied she was effing serious and hung up.

I called Soap Opera Digest who said my mothers subscription was a year subscription ending this month. and she refered me to Budget Reading Subco that handles my moms subscription they told me there was no such $800 charge so I looked up the caller ID on the phone. The name was listed as Amir Marketing so  i googled the number 786-235-5683.

these scum bags are now going to be reported to the FTC and the Attorney Generals office.

Same as stated above. I'd just gotten up and was catching bits and pieces
of a conversation my mom was having. She rarely gets riled up and is

Was trying to renew a Soap Opera Digest for 3 years. Round and round
they went. First a woman caller. When she was unsuccessful a man
called and she gave out credit card info. By this point I found out she
originally paid by check. I told her to call her CC card company immediately
disable the account. Less than 5 minutes later the guy called back and we
left it unanswered. Now I'm hoping he try's again so I can light him up. Beware.
They are bullying intimidating a-holes.

This number called and harrassed my mother. They stated they were from TV Guide or something and my mother believed them. They told her they were going to take $400 out of her account for soap opera digest. This just happened so I am trying to look them up. They stated that she has to pay the $400. Now, my mother is all upsent thinking they are going to charge her account. The thing is, she didn't give them her credit card number or anything. Thank goodness. I called this number back multiple times with a private number. It would ring a few times and the person would hang up. Finally, it was busy. Then, it would ring forever and someone would finally pick up but sit on the phone. If any of you get a call from this number, beware. They had my poor mom in tears

Received a call from them saying that they were from TV Guide. They said that they were charging my card 800 dollars unless I gave them my credit card information today, and they would renew me at a low rate. My subscription for TV Guide is paid, and I have never paid it with a credit card. They also told me that TV Guide has stopped accepting checks. I called the actual TV Guide company and they confirmed that I am in good standing with them, and the call was clearly a scam. Beware!
