I just received something very similar, except from Pasadena, ca. I am very new to this, so I placed the order for her, but contacted my regional rep and told her about it. As everyone else have stated, be very cautious, glad I called, after 20 minutes placing the order. Now I will always be skeptical of large orders, unless you know the person.

The email below, I received on 01-25-2013. I see this scam is ongoing. This is the second one I've received in five months. I too was suspicious and ran a search and ended up on this website. I told her to place order through my online website and blocked her from sending me any more mail. Don't fall for this scam.

I just got the same message and thanks to this posting was able to verify a hoax.  So many spelling and grammar errors that I became suspicious. Very scary!! Thanks to this venues I was able to find answers.

This same person tried to buy from our web store about the same time as your post.  This is a case of fraudulent  credit card use.  We reported to the mastercard.

I received two of the messages. I was getting a weird feeling about them and look them up. One I could not find and when I Google Fashion coast modeling I found this page. Thank you so much for starting this page it helped Thank you.

I am so sorry that happened to you.  I almost fell for it too, but it just didn't seem right to me that someone out of state would want to order from an Avon Rep other than in their own city or online.  Online ordering is so quick these days.  I am dealing with this person right now and I intend to cut the ties tonight.  I did give her my phone number, but thank god I didn't give her my address or continue to deal with her.  I am glad I found this site and found out she is a scammer.  I have been scammed before by another company, so it can happen to anyone.  Don't beat yourself up to bad for it.  We all learn from our mistakes.  Thanks for all the good information so others don't get used by her too.

I just received a message from a Cynthia Thomas from Fashion Coast Models International in San Francisco, CA 94122 with phone number 415-352-8308 that said she is the manager of this company and would be in my city in September for a photo shoot. She send me a list of the some of the same Avon products above that needed to be purchased and same senario as above scams.  She didn't call me, but found my Avon website online and e-mailed me.  So Avon Representatives beware of this scam!!!

I have received a copy of the check I deposited in my bank today. These people got me for $1600.00. What is the next process.  I have been contacted by these peopke via email and text messaging. Can't believe I got scammed--my hubby is going to be livid!!

I received an email from these people. I played studpid to see if they really would send anything.  Received 2 money orders and  I turned them over to the Police Dept.  DO NOT order any products from people you do not know!!

No criminal act has been commited according to the Deputy.   Be very careful on who you answer in your emails.

I got the same order from Carole Jekinson who claims to be the Manager of Mitchell Models International in Miami, FL. I had given my personal information as requested and today I received the Moneygram remittance from Nicole Houghton in the amount of $1900. The amount of the order is around $112. Carole said the sponsor mistakenly sent me also the payment for their ticket to come to Austin for a photo shoot. I was told to return the difference to them after I received the money order. I am new in Avon so I called my upline and she said it's a scam. I read the Avon warning about Fraud and luckily for me, I have not encashed the money order and have not sent the orders yet to Avon...

I also received an e-mail for Avon products.  This is about the 4th or 5th one of these I have received.  I always try to check them out, but usually just delete them as I think they are all scammers trying to get something for nothing.

I got the same order by email. I've gotten similar ones often ever since I've had my Avon website. I send a polite email telling them to please order from my website. I do not order products shipped to me for people I am unable to meet with first. Sometimes they'll send another email with a bunch of excuses about not being able to use a credit card. One sent me a rude email about how ridiculous it was for me to insist upon meeting customers first. Just hit delete. They're scams. There are plenty of legitimate Avon customers out there to keep us all in business.

I received the same order.  I was contacted thru Avon and replied back to her that I could help her.  She emailed my personal email trying to place the same exact order.  I am so tired of the scammers!!!  As soon as I saw it, bells started ringing and red flags went up.

My husband got the same one also. I've been wondering if they were legit or not. I glad I decided look up a/b the company or so called company first.

I received an email also from the Mitchell Models International in Miami Florida with this phone number.  That person wanted to order products and wanted my complete address to send the money ahead of time for
the large order of Avon.  Below is a copy of the letter.  Beware of this kind of email.  It is a scam.  Just refer them to your Avon web site to order the products.

I am new to avon and didn't know it was a scam until after I decided to look it up to see if i was true i DON'T know what to do if i already gave my info away i reported it to reportfraud@avon.com, but now i am worried

I got this same one. It took a few days for her to get back to me. I was looking up the name of this "modeling company" to see if it was legit. Good thing I did too. Be safe my fellow reps!
