Work in a surgeon's office. Just got a call stating, "Is Dr. ....... there, this is Dr. Doer (not sure how he pronounced it). My doctor was not in the office today anyway, but the fact that it sounded like Dr. Doer was in a call center was enough for me to realize it was a scam. As soon as I told him the doctor was out and if he wanted to leave a message, he stated no and hung up. give me a break. Like a doctor would want to talk to a fake doctor.  

Scammer, pretends he knows you and has talked to you before. Rude, insolent, does not understand when you say you are not interested politely

Got a last week call - forwarded from our clinic general number and spoke this fast talker who claimed that we had talked last year and he was supposed to call when he had some 'hot' stock tip!  
Poor guy under estimated my memory and also my dislike for stocks so got his number 786-464-8693 and told him that I will call him back after I see a patient!  Fraud to the core - a true scamster!!

Dan Terpak just called our office. After going back and forth with the Dr. about him calling this Dan guy, I decided to look him up to see where he works. I found this site. I called the number back a guy named Michael answered, I told him I have the Dr. holding for Dan Terpak. Michael told me he would get Dan for me. Then he came back on the phone pretending to be Dan. I told him that I know that Michael and Dan are the same person and that if they call again that I will call the police. He hung up. But he called fom a different number. 786-536-1367

this guy just called me on my cell phone claiming I had spoken to him last year about some financial stuff and now wants me to invest in facebook shares through him!!

telemarketing from brokerage firm in MIAMI.

They are stock brokers calling doctors typically with Indian names and are very pushy and rude.

Dan Tuerpak called medical office  pretending to be good friend of the doctor and aggressively demanding I interrupt the doctor and get him on the phone.  He left a number to be reached at (786)464-8956

Not a doctor's office here. Caller asked to speak to "Joe" (company president's first name). Dead giveaway there. If the pres wants to talk to you, he gives out a special number. Any caller acting like he's personally acquainted with the pres is immediately identified as...umm...prevaricating...okay, lying!

And they think they're being really original.

This guy called several weeks ago with a "hot tip" on a stock. I told him that I never buy anything, especially stock, from a phone salesman or telemarketer. He became argumentative and refused to take "no" for an answer. I then hung up on him. He just called me again while I was at lunch. My receptionist took the message. His name sounded familiar so I Googled it and found this website and the same phone number. He appears to be a very aggressive stock salesman who seems to randomly call Dr's offices. Beware of this guy!

I am not a doctor.  He called my brother's office and asked for me.  My brother informed him that I was no longer part of this company and that I had my own company.   He said it was a personal matter about finances.  My brother said that if it was for the company, he handled all payables.  If it was personal than he should call me directly.  When my brother went to give him my number, he said that he could not take it and that my brother should inform me that Dan Terpak called and that I would know.  I have never heard of him before.

Our receptionist JUST took a call from Dan Terpak @ 786-464-8693 stating he was returning our docs call.  She is very good at screening calls and brought the number to me.  I looked it up on the internet and he shows up on all kinds of fraud alert phone sites... Our office is in St. Louis , MO so looks like he hits EVERYWHERE!!!!

We are an orthodontic office in Glendale, AZ.  A man called and said his name was Dan Terpak.  He insisted that he was returning a call from Dr.  There is no known connection but man was insistant that it was a personal matter.  BEWARE!

My husband is a surgeon, and we got a call from this number today. When I asked where he was calling from (meaning company) he said, "Miami, Florida." I asked what the call was in reference to, and he hung up. I love intercepting these guys.

We received a call today from Dan Terpak, he stated " could you let Dr. know I'm holding for him" returning his call.  We are a pediatric office, the physicans let staff know when they are waiting on a call.  Dan Terpak is a SCAM

Exact same MO.....Dan Terpak just called saying it was personal for our doctor.  After lots of questions he did give me this number to call back but he wasn't getting through me!  He is obviously trying to run a SCAM on doctors offices.  I would definitely beware of this guy...

Even I, a family physician, got a call from him.  He told my receptionist that he was a personal friend of mine.  Someone needs to stop this person from making these calls.  What does he want anyway?  And where does he get our numbers?

Same thing, but different #(786)464-8788 claimed to be a friend of the docs and returning his call-I knew better-when I told him that the doc had asked me to ask him what this was regarding, he hung up!

I work for a surgeon and "Dan" called and asked to speak to my doctor.  I told him he was in a room and asked to take a message.  He said "Well get him to come to the phone."  I told him that I could not interrupt him during a patient exam to come to the phone and asked again to take a message.  He said that he was a friend and they had a very personal conversation a few days ago and asked again to get him to phone.  I told him no and asked for his phone number and I felt that something weird was going on so I googled the number.  Glad I did after seeing all this.  What an idiot!

ENT office received the same call.  Doctor's wife answered and he would not reveal any info other than he was a personal friend and was very rude to her even though she told him she was the spouse. She put him on hold for ten minutes and then told him the doctor was still with patients and she would leave him the message. Definitely a fraud.

Called an internal medicine office as well...  He was very rude to receptionist and told her it was about a personal matter....

I work for a GI doc and this guy "Dan Turpak" just called and left this number 786-464-8693 and said it was a personal matter and that he would hold. Very rude. Would not tell me what the call was about. I told him my doctor was seeing patients and if I had to interrupt him then I need to know what its about. I just took the number and told him when he was done seeing patients, then he would return his call. Nonetheless, this number went into the waste basket!!!

Dan Terpak called my office, said he was calling back on a personal matter which he had discussed with me 2-3 weeks ago.  He wanted me to call him back.  I have never spoken to him or heard of him. He is a scam artist. Thanks to all who have posted on this blog.

Same guy, Terpak, called my dental practice and stated that he was "returning my call" and that it
was a "personal matter."  I do not know this person and did not take the call.

I had a "Melvin" call me from this number stating he was returning the doctors phone call. I work for an MD family physician.He refused to leave a message and refused to give me any info. Dr. has no idea who this guy is.

I told him to call me back right away at 1800 E-A-T-S-H-I-T

"Dan Terpak" is a phony! Thank goodness these posts exist. What is his deal, seriously?
