We received a call from this number and said to call Bank of America NOW as the account was being locked for investigation. They wanted our debit card number. When I called the number - it would not ring. This morning I went to the bank to check this out. Their resourses state that this is definetly a SCAM. They call everyone's number not knowing where your account is located. The bank has received calls from people who bank elsewhere. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!

I just received a cell call from this number but have not and will not return the call.
What do I do now. I will ignore the call and call Bank of Americal local.

I got it, too. Here's the thing. I've had my banks contact me via text to alert me to possible fraudulent activity on my account - usually just an alert for a high-priced transaction I have, in fact, authorized. So, I called the number and the voice message stated the number was not in service. No harm done. Still, it smacks of scam and skepticism keeps us all safe. Good that people report this nonsense, too.

Asked me to call Bank of America NOW. Asked me to type in my debit card number - realized immediately it was a scam as I do not have a debit card with bank of america. Do not give them your info!

Scammers pretending to be Bank of America to get your account number. DO NOT call this number. They will wipe your account .

ok so I called it and it is an automated message that says that it is Bank of America, and your account has been deemed as being used fradulently and they are doing an identity check. It prompts you to input your account number. Didn't it make it past that because I'm not crazy enough to do that. Funny enough sometimes the number is disconnected and sometimes it works. ok, so there you go. Would NOT recommend anyone actually giving them the account number. Call the number on your bank statement if you think you have an issue.

I do bank with BofA, but the thing is: when they text it's from a 692-xxx # (not a vtext) and they don't put "(BankOfAmerica)". They text "Bank of America:"

Just got the same text. Ooh, like I'm gonna call when I don't have an account with Bank of America. Banks don't text their customers like this especially as 214180@vtext.com as sender. Scam.
