Picked up on 3rd rimg; heard a click of some sort; nothing more. Caller ID said "Schneider G" as well as the number. When dialing the number back I get recording saying "The number you have dialed has been temporarily disconnected. P U A M I 2 0."

Phone number 786-866-2540. asked for my husband. as soon as I said he wasn't available the man hung up. from previous comments on this site I'm not the only one receiving calls just as this. I've been on the DNC list since the day it came out. If I see the # again I think I'll answer the phone a little differently!  :)

I believe it is Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST). They also use 1-786-866-2525, 1-786-876-2529, 1-786-876-5407, 1-786-876-2533, 1-786-5400, 1-786-866-5411 and probably a host of other numbers with 1-786-876-XXXX

Received a call from this number stating they were the sheriff's department. When I called the number back it was disconnected.

I keep getting calls from this number as well (786-866-2540)  what is up with this?  No one is every on the other end of the line.

Unknown caller number 1-786-866-2540 is calling me.  I am on the Do Not Call List and this is still happening!  When I try to call back, it say's that the number is temporarily disconnected.  This person should be strongly reprimanded, if not more.

Receiving numerous calls from this number and same as the other complaints, no one answers and no messages are left.  Caller Id for 786-866-2540 is D Boyer.  This appears to be a cell phone number from the Miami, FL area.  I'm unable to block the cell phone numbers.  I am also receiving numerous phone calls from 786-866-2539 with a caller ID of R Martinez.  Interestingly enough, the numbers are only a digit off.  The calls are made at any given time of the day and throughout the month.  I am speculating, but could it be that they are calling on behalf of a 3rd party to determine if the number is in use and at what time of the day we will answer the phone?  I've listed the numbers as annoyance calls with AT&T and filed complaints with the National Do not call registry.  I'm guessing these individuals will probably utilize another number.

Recived calls from 786-866-5411, 786-866-2525 and 786-866-2540 all from R. Martinez.  When I tried calling each of them back, it says the number has been temporarily disconnected.

Received two phone calls from #786-866-2540.  Let the phone ring and caller I.D. shows that this is from a R. Martinez.  They did not leave a message on the answering machine, calls occurred at around 8:30 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.

I received a call from this number and also from 786-866-5408.  Both had R Martinez on caller ID.  My husband answered one and they hung up.  We let the answering machine answer the other one.  They did not leave a message.
