i got a missed call from a number starting with this area code also but the number is different.  7969473327 that is the number that called me.  i like in the caribbean so they are trying it all over the world

These are more of the same sorts of constant intrusion and harassment calls, which I  believe are being generated by companies attempting to agitate for bill collections, and ought to be investigated on the FEDERAL LEVEL! There are rules and regulations which define the nature of what bill collectors can and cannot do in seeking to collect.  Some bill collectors are illegally attempting to collect for bills which are NOT VALID, too!!! We have to pay lots of money for our cell phones, so why is this crapola being allowed, and costing us more money to pay for these crappy intrusions into our lives.... from those wasky wabbits! :( We need strong FEDERAL LAWS to stop this theft from us as consumers who pay lots of money just to have a cell phone.

called 8 times in past two days. when we answer he uses very ugly language and repetedly says he is sorry for the phone calls but continues to call back over and over using vulgar language. he says he is from clear water florida and then he says he is from wahington dc.

I believe these calls are from Indonesia, and so our Feds have no jurisdiction.  GIve them fake information - or the address of some politician you don't like!

Called my number 5 times last night. Would hang up if I answered. Never left a message.

Calls after 10pm and hangs up when we answer. I called the person back and a spanish sounding male answered. when I asked why he kept calling he hung up.

This people are totaly sick and has no considaration what so ever!!!!!!!!!!

I've also gotten about a dozen calls this past week from (305)848-1247 and one from a (614)754-0176 - I'm checking filing seperate reports on these as well.

This is very annoying and if anyone knows who or where this is coming from we'd all appreciate some input.

This number has called three to four times a day for the past two weeks. At first I got hangups then I finally got a person. With music and children yelling in the background. A man who could hardly speek english congratulated me and told me that my master card. Ending in XXXX was in such good standing that he was going to send me a $100.00 Gas Voucher and $40.00 worth of valuable coupons. All it would cost me is $1.99 mailing costs. He said all I had to do was agree to let him charge the mailing costs to my card. When I refused he got all excited about how much I was loosing by not doing it. I told him where he could put his deal and hung up. I still get the calls every day now and they are all hangups. How do we STOP THESE JERKS????

They calls me says I get $100 gas card for me car( mind you i dont own one) wants my info Dont understand her people talking in background.  I fight wit her and she calls me white trash  ( mind you I am not white ) goes figure dat

have also received numerous calls from this number. I also got the man who said his supervisor only spoke Chinese. I proceeded to call my bank who told me they have nothing to do with it and that I should report it to the police and have the phone company do a search on the call. I got another call this morning and told them all this and the lady said I would not be receiving any more calls from them. So far, about 4 hours, I haven't.

Called me 3 times in the last few hours.  First call said they were calling about credit card ending with XXXX. Second time no one there.  3rd time was 10:30pm and I answered the phone with dont call my house again its 10:30 at night and I have children sleeping. They said what, I said dont call my house ever.. She said why and hung up.  Howver on the first call they knew my name

I just received a call from this number and did not answer it.  I called it back and it said that number could not be reached as dialed.  Yesterday I received a call that caller ID showed "Unavailable".  

I answered just to see who it was.  They asked for me my by first name and asked who was called.  Said it was Mary or something like that.  I asked what company she was calling from and she would not tell me.  She then proceeded to tell me she was calling about my Visa ending in #### and want to send me a gift.  This is the 3rd of 4th call I've received from them.  It's always a different phone number.  

Well I cut her off and told her to take me off of their call list and that I've asked them to do so before.  She became a little indignant and said she couldn't believe I would turn down $60 in gas.  I just simply said "remove my name from your list" and I hung up.

Obviouly they didn't honor my request.  I will continue to ignore their calls.

i have posted several times about a Platinum Rewards calling they have at least 3 numbers they call from and it is all having to do with a MC ending in -xxxx. The other numbers they are calling from are 305-848-1247, 916-706-5324, and 614-754-0176. I have started keeping a log on how often and the name of the particular caller.  They are very argumentive if you ask to speak to a supervisor and give different reasons each time why you can't. My personal favorite was a man who spoke very bad broken english who said that the sup only speaks chinese and if I spoke chinese I could talk to him. To which I replied that I only speak to people who speak good english.

PS:   "796" is the country code for Indonesia.  The FCC won't be able to help if these calls are from there.

Suggest you give them a fake address.  That stopped the calls for me.

I've been called by this number 5 times within the month of June, latest being today (6/25). Gave me the "gift because of your VISA card ending in -xxxx" routine and wanted to give me a gas card worth $100. I dropped the call since I had a call I'd been waiting for come through on my Call Waiting. Caller was lady with a thick asian accent - not sure but I'd guess China. VERY noisy enviroment. Note that I've also gotten similar calls from a Miami, FL number 305-848-1247.

I sent an e-mail to this address for the FCC which my phone company gave me fccinfo@fcc.gov . So if everyone sends in a complaint, the company that is calling will be fined $10,000+ for every reported incident. This is according to my phone service. If you call your phone service and ask for the phone number for the FCC, they will give it to you. We need to start complaining to the FCC.

This person has been calling me all day yesterday, 6/13. I have an answering machine and they just hang up. A few times, they have said my name and then hung up. I don't know who they are, so I have not returned a phone call to them or have answered them. If I don't recognize a number, I do not answer my telephone. It's just frustrating. The calls did not stop until 2:00 am this morning. I put the area code into the computer, and was put directly to your site. Now I know, I will definately not answer the phone for this number. As a heads up, I have three more numbers that kept calling me since yesterday, this is information for anyone who recognizes these numbers. The first number is 415-738-7504. This number is from the San Francisco area. You hear lots of noise in the background. The second number is 305-848-1247. This number is from Florida. Has to do with a credit card being awarded to me. The third number is 562-289-8180. It says GES DIRCT on the caller I.D. This number is also from California. My advice to everyone, let your answering machine pick up the phone. They will get the message if your answering machine constantly picks up. Try using your machines automated message instead of your voice because, if they didn't know your name then, they will once they hear your personal greeting. Good luck everyone.

I received 6 calls from these people yesterday alone . . . one of which was 10:30 at night.

This number called seven times since 1:22p.m. today 6-13-08. I also was yelled at. I told them I didn't want anything they were selling or giving away. The so called male caller told me I needed to except this gift. I asked them if they would please remove my number from their call list and he told me they wouldn't because I wouldn't listen to them. So I hung up and they keep calling. The last call came in at 10:33p.m. tonight. I have tried to call back and get a busy signal. When I do answer, I get a hang up. Right now is not the time to be harassing me with phone calls, I have a daughter pregnant and due anytime. Please someone tell me what to do to get these "people" to stop calling? I tried to give a complaint to the do-not-call website and I can't do that until 30 days are up. WHAT DO WE DO????

We all need to get together and file a suit or contact the FTC together to get them stopped.

I got phone call after phone call from these people.  They have foreign accents. I figure it a burned cell phone or something because when calling it, it sounds like a phone out of service.  They tried really hard to get me to tell my street address!!! Another # that started calling me at the same time is 212-266-5335 and these people are just as persistant. One of them claimed to be from "Super Yellow Pages."  I am going to check if there is a super yellow pages.

Now 9:45 on 6/13 and they've called twice in the last minute.  This has moved from telemarketing to utter harassment....

this number called 8 times so far today... same story as Kathleen... I just keep hanging up... but they're calling way late into the night.

These people keep calling wanting to give me a reward.  I have told them several times that we do not want their gift.  I will get screamed at by the person saying JUST LET ME GIVE YOU THIS GIFT!!  Today is 6/13/08 and they have call me 10 times.  The last time was just a few minutes ago and it is 9:30pm  I have filed a police report, called the FTC, what else can I do?  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number has called me 4 times today.  No messages left.  Who is it?

Called to tell me I "earned" a gift from my credit card ending in -XXXX.  She asked me for my address to confirm delivery of the prize.  I stated that if it was truly from my credit card company that she would already have my address, and refused the gift. She proceeded to yell at me that she was trying to give me something, not sell me something, and I was the last call before she went home to her kids.  I stated I would contact the credit card company to cancel due to her rudeness, to which she said "fine, and that I was rude not to take the gift". YIKES!  
FYI - I do not have a credit card with the suffix ending she gave.
