I received unwanted calls from 760-012-3456.

LOL.  I just got a call from a gal with a thick accident telling me that I had been chosen to receive $7500 grant from the US government.  She asked me for my bank account number so they could deposit the money.  I gave her a wrong account number, last 4 digits of my social and spelled my name wrong and slightly edited my address that they already had.  In return, she gave me a confirmation number of RB147RB147 along with a phone number to call for her manager, "Grace".  I did not call the number back...anyone want to do it for me???  : )

I receve this number's phone with french african' accent.
Its possible this call si only racket perciving high cost  for interruban phone company.

I never pick up 800, 866 or similar numbers anymore since somebody called 9 am  with a very authoritarian voice (American accent)  and told me he was a federal agent from the department of drugs and whatever its called and told me that there was a warrant of arrest out for me for ordering illegally medication over the internet, which I never did. I passed the phone to my husband, because I was too upset to talk. My husband asked all kinds of questions and the person said, that in order to make this arrest warrant go away, we would have to pay anywhere between $ 5,000 to $ 250,000 and told us that somebody would call back with the details to transfer the money. I googled the number and realized it was a major scam. From what other people wrote about this scam, it was the same name, same department, same everything. We called this number back  and some person with a very heavy Pakistani accent answered. We told him that we googled them and that we knew it was a scam and would report this to the FBI, which we did. The person immediately hung up. I was told by the real agent, that they arrested already quite a few people who were involved in this kind of scam.

I just got a call from this number and he said he was my grandson and was arrested in South
America because his friend had Marijuana  in his pocket while they were driving in a car.
He said they were in jail and needed money for bail.  Of course I didn't fall for it but strung
him along for the ride.

I got a call from this phone number.  The caller had a heavy foreign accent.  He told me the name of the person he was trying to call.  It was my name, but I never say my name when I answer the phone.  I always say "Hello" and "Who's calling?".   He quickly bailed out.  So I Googled the phone number.  Most likely, somebody is trying to track down me or someone else with the same name in order to perpetrate a scam.

Get these calls all the time. I answered it this time and the man spoke with an unsure, garbled voice. Sonded like a drug adddict. I asked what he wanted, and he claimed his was calling from Medicare. I told him I don't get Medicare. Then he asked for my wife (gave her name), and I stated that she doesn't receive Medicare either. He said "Oh Boy!" and acted as though he didn't know what to say next. You could hear talking in the background.
Tried to engage him in conversation, but he hung up. Obvoius scam artists phishing for account numbers.

Received call from caller who pretended to be my son. "Dad, I need your help. Do you know who this is?" I responde with my son's name and the caller began a long story about being arrested in Canada during a fishing trip. The story had some credibility, since the caller knew that my son was a fisherman and frequently fishes in Canada. He requested $2800 to be wired to him at once to get out of jail. I asked him for his SS# and he said he couldn't remember it. I thennasked for his home address and he hung up. Reported to AZ Attorney General's office.

It was an obscene phone call and called back in a few days. From the voice through the phone, it was hard to tell this person is a man or a woman. So, I reported to the police. When this person called again, I did turn on the tape recorder. Once I mentioned to this person that "you can say whatever you want because I have turned on the tape recorder and will give the tape to the police. It hung up!!
