This is truly the Pitney Bowes company.  Don't know about the "auto dialer", but our company has dealt with them for years.  Sorry for those of you above that got bad information.

I really should have told him to remove our name from his calling list.  BY LAW, even if you have a business relationship with a company and you tell them that, they MUST remove you!

This IS Pitney-Bowes but comes up "Unavailable" - how stupid is that?  Not only that but our "account representative" called at 5 minutes of 5!  (This was yesterday.)  What a moron.  I pretty much gave him a piece of my mind saying when we need something we'll call them, as earlier this week someone called and said we needed to order ink (bc we hadn't in awhile).  This dope was calling about something that had been done two weeks ago!  He said the account reps "have to call, it's our job" and I said once every 6 months would be fine and hung up on him.  Next time I'm also going to rip him about PB postage machines telling you you need to order ink when in fact you DON'T!  I fell for it ONE time several years ago and ever since then, I just take out the cartridge, put it back in, and it will last for AT LEAST another 4 months!  I think really though I'll just pick up and hang up when I see this number come up on our Caller ID!  We need a postage machine but this company really tries to rip you off!!

same as above comments........EXCEPT.... today

at 6:30 this AM ........ a Julie (from Pitney Bowes) called for a Phyllis Johnson ?? .... then Julie immediately played stupid....blamed the "auto dialer" for dialing my number....this "auto dialer" is also responsible for being time-zone sensitive as well...(PB is 3 hr. ahead of us)......pretty stupid "auto dialer" I guess....--or, do we blame Julie  ??

question:        how did my-or-your-our private tele. no's. get programmed into a corporate system's "auto dialer" when "supposedly" Pitney Bowes is looking for other COMPANY'S that are behind in their postage meter payments ...

in this case:      Julie was looking for the Az. Kidney Foundation  !!

This number appears multiple times on my Caller ID in the past few weeks.  I do have a meter lease with Pitney Bowes, but I have already talked with them and declined to sign a multi-year lease renewal.  It is irritating to receive these calls when I have already spent my time to contact them.

It was Pitney Bowes saying our meter lease was running out and we needed to get a new machine.  Told them I was happy with the one I had.

The whole lease renewal thing is a scam.  PB wants to lock you into a long-term contract.  Yeah, they give you a discount, but you can go month-to-month with no committment.  They make it seem like your meter will stop working unless you renew.  It's pretty close to a fraud.

This number keeps showing up on my caller ID (for months now).  They don't leave a message, and I never pick up.  So I guess we're at a 'standoff.'  It makes sense that it could be Pitney Bowes calling.  I do have a meter that I think could be up for a lease renewal.  You think they could leave a message though...

This is actually Pitney Bowes.  I finally was in my office to take the call.  It was to renew my postage meter lease.  They had all the valid information.  I asked the woman why they had not left a message and her reply was that they are not allowed to leave message.  Once I review the documentation she is sending to my fax number of which she had on file, I will contact Pitney Bowes via the number on my invoices.

I got a message from Erik ext. 6596, saying that our Pitney Bowes account can get a Free Discount Program. I have not follow up with our Pitney Bowes account rep yet, this might be a scam.

I work for a company that uses Pitney Bowes, and my name is probably on some contracts as a contact.  Just got a call from that number, no message.  Since it could be a valid call to the company, seems odd they didn't leave a message.
