I have the same issue. I called them back and asked, (well demanded, really), to be taken off their call list.

I am on the do not call list and do not want to be called.  How dare these people defy that request.

These people suck. They call at the most inappropriate hours. I have no idea what they want, but I suspect this is a fundraising operation and that I tacitly gave them 'permission' to contact me somehow without realizing it.

Wait, scratch that. This one of those annoying "consolidate your student loans with us!" places that bugs you after you finish grad school.

These people call 2 to 3 times a day. I usually ignore the call. Sometimes I answer it and yell at them and tell them to STOP calling me. I've already consolidated my student loans and they won't let up!!!

Called at 2pm on 2/2/2008.  I let it ring, but they did not leave a message.

I, too am on the Do Not Call List.  Why am I getting these calls/

I have received numerous calls from this number, Academic Funding, and have asked them each time to never call me again. I am on the 'do not call list', have advised them of this but it doesn't seem to make a difference.  Sometimes the call comes in on my caller id as "Unrecognized" so I get sucked into answering the call.

Calls repeatedly without a message left.  When we answered they asked about student loans.  No one lives here who has a student loan.  Still calling.

They have been calling  my house repeatedly, daily, for weeks, and never leave a message.  I finally answered the phone and they asked for one of my kids (who goes to school out of state).  I told them that he didn't live here and the guy had the nerve to ask me for his phone number.  I told him that I wouldn't give it to him if I had it and that I would like my phone number removed from their list.  If they call again, I will report it.

on my caller ID again today. If they call again I will press 0 to get my name off. That has worked with other similar calls.

1-800-204-3615   Academic Funding Foundation keeps calling to try to reach our college son about refinancing his student loans. They telephone many times each week.  I ALWAYS file a complaint with the do not call dot gov agency because we are signed up for that service.  I hope someone investigates them!!

This number calls almost everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. Also a lot of times just before 9:00 pm. Never leave a message. This has been going on for more than a year and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.

OK I FINALLY GOT THEM TO STOP CALLING.  THEY HAVE NOT CALLED BACK IN A WEEK,I WAS GETTING THEM 3 TIMES A DAY.

I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND GOT A LIVE PERSON ON THE PHONE AND TOLD THEM TO TAKE MY NUMBER OFF THE LIST, THEN WHEN SHE CONFIRMED SHE WOULD I (IN A VERY LOUD SCREAMING VOICE) TOLD HER THAT THE CALLS WERE HARASSMENT AND THAT I HAD TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND THAT CALLS AT 8:45 AT NIGHT WERE REDICULOUS.  AGAIN I USED A VERY LOUD VOICE AND TOLD HER THAT MY NAME BETTER BE OFF THE LIST FOR REAL THIS TIME.  THE CALLS STOPPED...LOL

just telling the guy who calls to take you off wont work, call them back and raise hell and it will stop them.

I get these calls at least twice a day, I have answered and repeatedly told them not to call our number.  But they continue.  There has to be something we can do to stop the madness!

I received a call from 1-800-204-3615, and they asked to speak with Marshall, I just hung up. I did not know what they wanted, but I am also on the National and State "Do Not Call" list's.

I called the number back and pressed 0 for a customer service rep.  I requested that they discontinue calling me.  I talked with Juliana Ford.  She assured me that the calls would stop.

Called my parents at their house, which I do not even live with them anymore and bothered them, Called 3 times in two days, once within 5 minutes of the other.

They are calling my house up to 3 times a day.  Even at 8:30 at night!  Asking for my husband.  Finally got him to take the call and its a "company" wanting him to consolidate his student loans.  He STUPIDLY told them they could send him a packet about it (they already had his name and info somehow) and now they wont stop calling.  I told them to take us off their list and they are still calling!!

Callers say they are from American Student Loan or similar company, calling "about our account" although we have never done business with them. They hope you are curious enough to return their call, thus allowing them to contact you further, saying you initiated a business relationship. This would get them past your "do not call" list.  Report this number to the DNC registry (find donotcall dot gov)

Got a call from 800-204-3615 AGAIN. I have asked numerous times to take me off the list to no avail.

Received several calls from 1-800-204-3615 but they didn't leave a message. When I answered the next call, they said they were from Academic Funding Foundation. Told them not interested and as we are on the do not call list, please remove our number. Reported them to the do not call registry, but when you look them up on line, they say they are a not for profit entity, so the feds probably won't do anything and assume they are legal. We have nothing to do with any student loans and are certainly not interested in getting any loans at our age... Is this a for profit debt collection agency acting like a not-for-proit organization?  Please report them to your state Attorney General and the proper federal offices.

This number calls up to 4X daily at times. When you answer they almost always hang up. At one point I did actually have someone on the other line asking me about loans, and told them to stop calling, but no such luck.

This caller keeps calling everyday, even though I am on the DO NOT CALL list.  They ask about my student loans and any other loans I have.  It's exceedingly annoying.
