someone named "Rios" posing as an investigator.

Someone calling himself special investagator Jack Powers.  Leaving sexually  harrasing messages.

horribly rude; looking for someone else on my cell phone?!?!?  I have never seen such a thing.  Who are these people?1

I want these people to stop calling my cell phone, causing my bill to be high and calling at inconvenient times (when I'm at the office, in a meeting, etc).  They are rude and very upsetting.  I wish I knew the first step in suing them!

We also received 3 phone calls on 5-22-09. First a family member got a call stating "we stole a van" that is financed through CPS..BLAH BLAH BLAH. Then he called my cell phone "BLOCKED" & left a Professional message saying...THIS IS INVESTIGATOR POWERS from THE LAW OFFICES OF BROWN & BOUMOUNT HANDLING YOUR COURT CASE TODAY. BANK STILL TAKING YOU TO COURT IN REGARDS TO THE "VAN". LET ME HELP YOU OUT. NEED TO NO IF YOUR WILLING TO SURRENDER THIS VEHICLE OR DO YOU HAVE A WAY TO PAY OFF YOUR DELINQUENT BALANCE. GIVE ME THAT STATEMENT BEFORE THESE CHARGES GO THROUGH CONTACT YOUR BANK OR MYSELF. TAKE DOWN THIS NUMBER 8002044418 EXT 3002. IF I'M IN COURT LEAVE ME A DETAILED MESSAGE SO I CAN HELP YOU OUT(END OF CALL). He also left the same message on my house phone from an "unavailable" number stating the same thing. I called him back & left a nice little message saying I didn't appreciate them calling my family before they contacted me because CPS has never called or sent me anything stating that I was behind. IF I HAD OF READ ALL OF THESE COMPLAINTS ON HERE FIRST I WOULD HAVE IGNORED THE CALL. I AGREE WITH "SANDY" THAT IT'S A TRAP BECAUSE I PUT IN THE EXTENSION & TODAY I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL UNAVAILABLE CALLS ON MY CELL (THAT'S WHAT I USED TO LEAVE HIM A MESSAGE) BUT HE HAS NOT LEFT ME A MESSAGES YET TODAY.
I ALSO BELIEVE THIS IS SOMEONE FROM CPS OR THAT THEY HIRED 2 TRY 2 SCARE PEOPLE. CPS IS A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!!!

investigator jacob is calling and trying to get personal info.  this is a phone trap and they are in the business of ID theft.

I got the same type of phone call from a Mr. Jacobs, stating he was an investigator...He is looking for my sister's car and says that she now has a warrant out for her...In the first place, I work for a repo co and I can tell you that they cannot put out a warrant because you are behind on your car payment...He was yelling and acting like a child because I refused any info on my sister...I informed him that I work for a repo co and he I was going to tell the leinholder about his tactics and harrassing people like he was harrasing me and I was at work...The leinholder he was calling for is CPS...He also got irritated with me and I told him I was not going to give him any info and he also hung up on me...I have called the number back and no one will answer...I believe that this 800 number is a trap number and when you call it and put in a certain extension, it identifies who you are calling about by the extension number...It will trap the number you are calling from...My advice to everyone is to just hang up on this guy, he is nothing more than a collector and cannot file on anyone for anything...

I get this message too- I got a new cell phone and I get unknown calls all the time- I don't answer them and I get this message... well who ever it is for I feel sorry for you- this is harassment and I hope you all know your rights...

A gentlemen called my mother saying his name was Det. Jacobs. My father is past due on this vehicle and they want to repo the car. My mother and father have been divorced for 25 years; however, she was listed as a personal reference on his loan. This gentlemen has called my mother up to six times in one day. I was there the other night and got on the phone. He proceeded to call me a loser and hung up on me when I asked him to stop calling the house. He accused me of harrassing HIM. I threatened him with a lawyer and asked my mom to keep a log of his phone calls from here on out. I will proceed if it doesn't stop. He stated that he was not with the creditors but he was with a law firm.

Someone posing as "Investigator Rios" left me a message that I have 2 charges against me. I called back and left a message but I haven't heard back from her yet. Sounds bogus but will update when I find out. I got charged for the food I got at Taco Bell tonite. Sounds like clever collection tactics.

Someone posing as an investigator by the name of Michelle Richardson called to get information on a neighbor. I knew she wasn't legitimate just by the way her phone conversation went and then she called back the next night with a different number on my caller id and I told her she wasn't an investigator and she better stop calling and she got really nasty.
