Robocaller left a message yesterday advertising real estate junk. According to the BBB, the company name is Star Federal. (Considering how telemarketers go, company names is subjective.) BBB also reports a "F" rating. Already filed a complaint with the FTC.

Caller left message on machine 02/27/14 saying he is "Peter" from GQREA Global Quest Real Estate Assoc. Almost sounded live but I'm sure it was a robocall. Just some nonsense about buying/selling real estate. Never even heard of this company, so they definitely shouldn't be calling our number since we're on the Do Not Call registry - sucks that the registry doesn't really seem to work that well.

"Hello this is a very important message from Global Quest Real Estate Association. We connect buyers from around the world who can pay you top dollar for real estate. If you would like a free no cost appraisal estimate for any property please call right away. The number is 1-800-212-2805. Thank you very much."

Left a recorded message on my answering machine. Same as other posters. I assume it's a robodialed call. Probably illegal. I'll report it to the joke known as the "Do not call registry", FCC, State Attorney General. And, of course, I'll block the number, but they'll probably switch numbers next week like all the other scammers.
BTW, the caller I.D. doesn't give their name. A SURE sign that it's a scam. All it says is V131193546000015. If I didn't enjoy messing with these crooks so much I would cancel my land line like the guy above!

They left a message on my phone 12/20/2013. The name is GQREA or Global Quest Real Estate Association
They have a website (on 12/22/2013), and the phone number there matches the phone number they left in the message. Just Google the name and you'll find it. From that website's "About" page: "US Real Estate.Pro is a real estate referral service owned and operated by a licensed real estate broker." This suggests other websites, as US Real Estate.Pro is not the same name as Global Quest Real Estate Association. (Anyone can put up a website or a number of websites. It doesn't cost much if you do the work yourself.)
The domain name is registered to Stan Middleman of Arlington, VA.
Make of it what you want. That's all I have cared to find out.
