This creature has called me 134 times since March 31, 2014.  What the hell??

Because scammers and spammers do not obey the law.  Only legitimate, law-abiding businesses obey the DNC list.  You may have to get a call blocker (Google "call blocker") to stop the calls - you can get a good one for $60 or less.

I am supposed to be on a no call list why is this getting through?

Received a call from this number 6 times today.  For the first 5 calls I did not respond and they did not leave any messages.  I answered on the 6th call.  The person calling stated that they are calling from Capital 1 and this call is being recorded.  I repeated to them "You just stated that this call is being recorded.  Is that correct?"  Long silence.  I again said the same thing.  And asked them to please respond to my question.  Long silence.  Then they hung up.  I have two accounts with them, but I get daily notices from them that I have a zero balance.  Thus I think this may be a scammer.

They have called me 11 times today.  The first call was at 12:26 pm followed by 1:31, 4:26, 4:55, 5:47, 5:48, 5:49, 6:05, 6:23, 6:56, and 8:09.  Its not quite 9 o'clock so I am sure to receive number 12 any minute now.  

It is HSBC, which is now owned by Capitol One.  Last month I had a day like this and finally answered only for the lady to tell me that they were calling because my payment was in 5 days and they wanted to set up a payment now over the phone.  That's right folks 10 calls in a day because my payment was due 5 days in the future.  I would hate to see what happens when you are 5 days late.  

I have had an account with Zaks 5th Ave for 15 yrs. I can't believe they would let this collection co. call morning, noon and night and on Sunday at Noon. Called on Mother's day at noon. My son is on this account and uses this card as his expence account or I would cancel this account immediately.

They called twice this morning, Sunday, at 8:04 and 8:22! Both times they asked to speak with me, I said yes and they hung up. I don't know what they think they're doing, but this is not the first time I've had problems with them.

They call all day long. If I answer they hang up. My bank says the check cleared 10 days ago!

I just received a call from the same number (8002133798), ans the call and no one was there.  Called the number and first received no connection,  The second time I called:
1- Auto system reading off the last 4 of a card I do not have then if this is not your cad dial in your entire account number starting the message of card services
       a- I have my Caller id completely restricted where they could not have accessed my account from the number calling in
      "thought.....thats odd"
2-  Received a guy on the line
       a- Phone line has poor reception during intro (did not hear name or company name)
       b- When the rep was clear, he stated Cap one, and discover.  I do have both but I pay both E.O.M in full with a 0 balance
       c- When prompted for info from him name, co, rep id etc, received a poor connection again
       d- When line was clear, the person attempted to phish info from me.

IT LOOKS, SMELLS, and SOUNDS like a complete scam phishing for personal information and C.C. info

Reporting receipt of call from 800-213-3798 last evening.  Reported it to two of my creditors:  Barclay Cards and
Capital One GM Card.  Caller was male, and so annoying I ended up yelling at him and hanging up the phone.
So far, he has not made another attempt.

This number has called everyday, even today which is Sunday.Saturday z7 times.
I do not owe anyone that I am late on, this is disgusting.the number is
1-800-213--3798. I answer they want my credit card number.

I've been getting at least 7 calls a day, starts off in 10 minute intervals then stretched out a couple of hours.  Just had 6 calls in 30 minutes!  Refriggindiculous!!   I answered the last call could not understand them.  Told them I'm current on all my cards stop calling me. 15 times in two days and it's only 3:00.   Do not call this number again or I will be in touch with the BBB!   This is harassment and hung up on them.      If you want to be ignored then harass me!

I, too, get calls about 5 times a day on each, my cell and my land line. This is nothing other than harassment. When you actually speak with someone they hang up on you when you inquire about the reason for the call.

I have been receiving calls from this phone number for 2 days, beginning at 8am each morning, and occurring about every 2 hours.  When I finally answered the phone, the male person that was placing the call refused to tell me what company he has been calling on behalf of.  He kept asking me to verify a name, which I refused to do, as he continued to refuse to tell me what company he was calling from.  I told him in no uncertain terms that I knew this call was associated with a scam, and that he needed to remove my number from his or their call list immediately.  He continued to try and talk to me until I hung up on him.  Now, I am answering the calls as they come in, and the fricking coward has been hanging up on me every time.  This is harassment, and it needs to stop immediately!  When I called the number back to tell them (again) to remove my number, the answering machine says "thank you for calling card member services......... please enter your full account number now".  there is no option to speak to the idiot that keeps calling.  Please shut this number down, it is very disruptive and harassing.

They keep calling my work. Every day about 8am, sometimes after we close at 5pm. We just say our spiel and they hang up. Super annoying

I've been getting these calls as well, and I also don't have any credit card debit, however, I'm wondering since I do shop online with a prepaid card, safer that way, if there is a connection with this scam and the major shopping websites such as Amazon,  Ebay, etc.  In any event, I don't answer the calls nor do they leave a message which tells me it has to be a scam as if it was a real debit company, they would leave a return call message I'm sure.

Seems legit.  Called back, spoke to an agent and gave my phone number, it's Capitol One and they took over HSBC, GM and other credit card companies, one of whom I do have an account with.  They were calling about the status of the account but rather than give them my info I said I would go online and check that it was up-to-date.

Same here. Got constant call 5 to 6 times a day. Finnally put the number on my block call listing through my phone settings.. They still try, but I don't hear the calls. They get rejected...

Despite me asking for more information about what they wanted, they kept asking me for personal information. So I resolved this by going into my Time Warner Cable phone account..now my phone only accepts numbers from people I know. You enter those numbers. I only listed 5 since most people call my cell. Anyone else tries to call my home phone gets rejected if they're not on that list. They get a message that says, "the person at this number is not accepting phone calls" That includes blocked, private and unavailable caller ID's. Problem solved.

Asked to enter last four digits of credit card not referencing a company, after entering digits states a message from Citibank . Called my credit card customer  service phone listed on the back of my card and rep states NO record of a call from their company.

Can't believe that someone is "earning" their pay check by crank calling me.

Pretty much the same complaint as everyone else here. Calls throughout the day, starting at 8a. My husband answered once and a male voice asked for me by my first name, but he hung up when asked to leave a message. Caller usually hangs up when phone answered by someone or by machine. When will we learn to stop using credit? I so regret falling into the middle class trap of credit. Somewhere in the Bible it explains that when you are in debt to someone, they own part of you. This sucks.:(

I left a text message when they called. They were calling, while I was at work. I told them to  leave a text or voice mail, but they did not. They call ten times a day. I will NOT ANSWER

They keep calling all hours of the day and night,When I pick up they hang up.
