Just got off the phone with Stephanie at Commercial Recovery Systems.  I think the job description must have said "Experience in Emotional Sadism Required."  My poor and very elderly relative was being harassed by CRS, only to find out they had the wrong person. Not even an apology from them! Shame on you, CRS!

Its a total scam. Do not give them any information. They are trying to get your credit card number, telling you if you pay off your debt today you could save a lot of money. First off they tell you, you are getting served. If your getting served they DONT tell you they just do it. It might be a bill that you due in fact owe, but contact the company directly to pay. when they call just them you know its a scam and to leave you alone. They even called my father-inlaw , my work, my home, my cell, and my mother. They think if they harass you enough you will give them the information they want. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. The numbers they called me from is 1-800-241-7882 or 1-800-314-7887

Call on voice mail from this number and all it said was, "If you hold on for 5 seconds after receiving this call, we will show that you have acknowledged this information."  That's it, I have no idea what it was about even and if my voice mail was 5 seconds longer they will show that I got the message, which I didn't!

The least they could do is hire some people who don't sound like they have a mouth full of marbles; I  saved the message to see if ANYONE could make out what was being said. Four tries/replays later i deleted it. Very professional I must say.

They are saying that they have a bill with an amount i dont recognize and wont tell me who the creditor is. I tell them i will not pay for something i dont know who im paying and they start threatening.

They've been calling me for the past few months, asking me to call "John Moore", but they have the wrong number; they're asking for someone else (The person who last had my phone number)

These people keep leaving threatening messages and will not identify themselves!  Anyone know who they are?

They are bill collectors of the bottom-feeding variety.

Received a call today saying it was about account 2839570.

This is a collection agency called Commercial Recovery Systems of Dallas, TX. They are the absolute worst of a bad lot of scum sucking bottom feeders that give cat fish a bad name. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is a joke to these vermin. Download the full 26 pages of the act from the fEDS.

A Mr. Evans called today and said that "he had received my case from a client, a bank, and that the IRS would be involved". No company mentioned. No "purpose to collect a debt" per FDCPA rules. Just a threat.

The stink of this call sent me back to my collection call log. On May 30, 2009 a Marcus Lee called from (214) 324-9575 and said that he was "processing a complaint against me in his department". He called back on 6/2; same threat. On 6/12 he upped the ante by saying that he was with the "Law Enforcement Division of CRS", and that he had a "complaint against me for falsifying information", but he was giving me the "benefit of the doubt". He concluded with "you have been notified".

Send your best CEASE and DESIST letter (download from Internet) with the enumerated violations (download FDCPA from Internet)and send the certified letter to:
