Is that your real street address? Is your poster name your real name? If so you goofed big time. Thieves and scammers read here, harvesting information. You will be flooded with junk mail.
I have asked the board administrator to delete your address and last name, but she doesn't work 24/7. Your information may be up for several days.

This isn't what 800notes is for LOL.. We can't do checks like this for you. This is only a forum for posting who calls you, what the call is about and any info you can provide for others to share.. If you receive something in the mail, its the Postmaster Generals domain as a rule. You can take it to your local Postmaster or file here:

Got my 'code key" in a bulk mailing for a Kia dealer in Phoenix Az. After reading the post above thanking them for the watch batteries, I took the thing apart to get the batteries. The 'code' is a pre-printed label simply back-lit by the gizmo. It's all in the trash now.

Received a mailer asking us to call this number. Ours stated that you would win two of 5 prizes for calling this numbers and taking the voucher to one of our local car dealerships. It's not a "scam" per se, but make sure you read the fine print before decoding to act. The print clearly states the odds of winning any of the prizes. In my case, the odds of winning the $10,000 grand prize was 1 in 21,404 and the odds of winning a 24 K gold played bar (approx. value of $10) is 1:1. The goal is simply to get you in the door so they can pressure you into a sale. After reading the above messages and going to the dealership and having a talk with one of the representatives (guess which prize I won?), I have some information that might be of value to people seeking answers about these fliers/phone calls: basically the number belongs to a company (someone above said it is called TWG or something like that) who sells themselves to other companies (like car dealerships) as a form of advertisement. Every company has an advertising budget, and this kind of prize giveaways are how these companies choose to spend theirs. Another thing I learned from the guy who helped me (aka, tried to high pressure sell me a car. But I knew what was happening and I chose to go anyway) is that these employees are literally flown to different dealerships every week. He was from South Dakota, and was in Missouri this week, and will be in another next week, and another the week after that. Anyway, I hope this helps some of you to understand what those fliers and calls are all about! If you choose to participate, good luck winning the big prize! It's bound to happen eventually!

Received mail from these guys saying that I won 25,000 dollars a new car and an ipad and to go to a Volkswagon dealership nearby. After reading these comments and looking up the number I will be going somewhere else instead.
Also wtf on the shady tactics and the random key code the put in the mail?

I received a letter in the mail claiming that I won prizes and to call the same number. I did call the number and was informed that I had won 3 prizes and that I needed to be present on one of the event days to receive them. I became suspicious and began doing some research. This was the first website that popped up. I then read the small print on the back of the letter and saw something about a company named TWG at 22 Carriage Lane, Hallowell, Maine 04347. I then goggled the company name and it led me to the BBB site. There I saw a customer review stating basically the same thing and that she attended an event at a local dealership and that the company helped her with a car purchase. This is not a scam.

It's a seminar thing. You go and they try to sell you overpriced merchandise then give you a vacation. I called them back after they called me. I wasn't in their age range so I couldn't participate... I wouldn't have anyhow.

I got something in the mail claiming that I won two prizes. It came from a place called Records of Declaration/Disbursements Division in Portland, Maine, and the letter urged me to call this number to verify my prize status. It also mentioned taking the letter to a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram dealership in town to claim it. The best part is that it claims that it's NOT a joke, prank, or gimmick. Uh huh, sure.

I did not receive a call, but I did receive an announcement in the mail that I was a "guaranteed" winner of two prizes totaling more than $5000. All I have to do is call this number 1-800-215-0779 with my Pin #SM160X47742217 and then go to Precision Toyota to collect my prizes. Sounded too good to be true and I never entered any kind of contest. Do not know how they got my name and address or that I drive Toyotas, but after reading about this phone number online I know better than to even respond to them.
