I got a call from 224-222-5000 asking for "David Flower".  It sounded like a computer synthesized voice claiming to be "Brian from Chase Card Services, Customer Support Division".  They asked me to call them back at 800-217-5964

As everyone should do, I called Chase at the number on the back of my Chase Debit Card.  They said that "Card Services is closed today", (it's Labor Day) and that "800-217-5964 is not one of ours"  They also said, "Do not provide your account number to anyone who calls.  If we're calling you, Chase already has that information."

In short, it's a scam.

How funny that I just received a message on my cell phone from.....you guessed it....Chase Card Services. And guess who they SAID  they were looking for? YEP....JEFF DOMBROWSKI!!! Now, I don't know where you live, Patti. But, I'm in Texas and find it very UNLIKELY that the both of us wound up on dear ole Jeffrey's contact list, like the poster below said.

What's wrong with all you idiots? It's just Chase bank calling about a debt owed by someone who listed your phone number as a contact number....like, maybe you. I've taken care of bank business of my own at that number. It even says "Thank you for calling Chase card services" when you call it, so what's the mystery?

I've been receiving calls from  "847-488-3313" caller ID shows Elgin, IL.  They are RELENTLESS!  First, they're dialing my cell phone number. Second, I don't now nor have I ever had an account with this company. Which brings me to the point of my commenting on "800-217-5964". Okay, everyone not sitting down at this point should!  An actual REAL person speaking perfect English with absolutley NO accent let a message to call the "5964" number. She ID'd herself as "Pamela from Chase Card Services"!!! She also left the name of whom she was trying to reach. I'm only guessing at this point but maybe "Jeff Dombrowski" had my cell number at some point or maybe he just made it up, I don't know.
However, I am now reaching out to the masses in an attempt to STOP these calls. So, if Jeff Dombrowski is reading this... PLEASE CALL CHASE CARD SERVICES and update your information with them!!  I've been trying literally for YEARS to stop them from calling my cell phone with no luck.
If Mr. D. isn't reading this maybe someone who knows him is, and in that case would YOU please tell JEFF to take care of his business and get these bloodsucking, everlasting non-stop calling VAMPIRES OFF MY BACK!!!!  Thank You.

I just called this number and it was for Chase Cards. They left a message/were looking for someone who wasn't me. I requested they remove my number from that person's contact. Was pretty seamless, but we'll see....

Regarding my recent post (just a moment ago)....
"Pamela" called from  the "488-3313" number. And left other number as where she could be reached. I don't think I was clear on that point a moment ago.  Thanks for listening to a very irritated non-friend of Chase Card Services or JEFF DOMBROWSKI!!

This is a scam! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION. Don't even call them back. If you're worried about it, call the number on the back of your credit card and ask if they have tried to reach you.

I called them back.  Claimed to be from Chase but wanted info from me and would not give info on who they were.  So, I DID SOMETHING EVERYONE SHOULD DO. I called the number on the back of my credit card and spoke to the real Chase.  This is a fraud, scam, low-life collection goons trying to either harass good folks or steal your identity.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION UNLESS YOU WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO TAKE OVER YOUR IDENTITY.

Sir, only an ignorant person that doesn't inform himself about how stupid it would be to enter your 16 digit account number on an automated phone system would be the victim of a scam.  Because if you know anything at all, no credit card company needs anything other than the last four digits of your account number.

I'm curious as to why you would search this directory of known callers.

they called me at a different phone number of where I don't live at all, and the people who live at that house number they called to told me they wanted me to call them. Is this a scam? They said it's about my bank...but the bank knows how to contact me not at a wrong phone number.

Must be scam.  I got same deal: Left message about "urgent" matter regarding Chase/WaMu account.  We don't have one.  Called the real Chase # on the back of my card, and they showed no call or any urgent matter with my account.

received calls a few weeks ago from "chase" in fact they called one day three times -- looking for a richard wagner. i threatened to call the police if it didn't stop. it stopped until today. they called and left a message which i couldn't understand  ( chinese ???) so i called the number only to hear someone ask me for my credit card number. i said who are you? she said chase/washington mutual/bank. i proceeded to tell her i didn't have an account and she asked for my phone number to take me off the list. i smell a scam. i wrote to chase/wamu to report this number.

They have gotten the first and last name of an elderly volunteer working for me and they are asking her for her credit card number so they can 'help her' with her account.  They are asking for her home number.  Because they don't have this information, I did not relay the message to our volunteer at home.  When I called the number back, they said they were CHASE COLLECTION AGENCY and wanted her card number or the number I was calling from.  THEN they asked if she had a chase card.... they have called our house 3 times each time for someone who doesn't live at our house. When I called back they said they were Chase the first time- this time they said they were Sears. They said our phone number wasn't on their call list so they couldn't remove it. I told them not to call again or I would call the police. they asked for the phone number again which I gave them and they said it wasn't in their database so they couldn't remove it. They wanted to give me another number to call which I said I didn't want because how could they not have the number to call if they had just called and left that number? I called Sears and the Sears rep called the phone number and spoke to a "Lorena" who said she couldn't remove any numbers off the list and was suspicious enough that the Sears rep couldn't confirm that they were one of their registered people.

I am calling our local police department and filing an official complaint. Do not give these people any information!
