I called the number and it was an automated response of "Goodbye!" and hung up.

So its official now, they have been put on the fraud list by the BBB. I almost fell into this trap--luckily since I'm just a "silly college kid" I went to my dad before processing anything. I really hope you all get the justice you seek. Its easy to fall for something such as this, times are hard and its IMPOSSIBLE to get a loan with no or bed credit.

Hello everyone, I am als a victim of the financial fraud perpetrated against you all by Northtown Financial Management. I see that I am not alot just as much as you're. The reason I'm leaving you all this message is to call on each and everyone of us to wake up, join forces together and let fish out the people behind this fraud in our society and sent them to where they ought to be;(prison).

I have a plan of action that I will like us to consider. I believe that if we form a coalition and work together as a team we could better do something about getting justice as opposed to working individually. First of all, since Northtown Financial management is supposedly doing their illegal business out of the state of New Jersey, please log on to the state department of consumer affairs website http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/ print out a complaint form and file a formal complaint to the Attorney General of the state against the company. This is United States, the most technologically advance nation in the world with the best equipment to catch thief so let get the authority of do something about these people. Im thinking we could file a class law suit against the state government compelling the state to search the company out since the company I assumed is paying business taxes to the state.
 I am hopeful we would get the right advice on the course of action to take but please let form a team and find a way to get this thief out of our society before many more people are victimize.

Need to file a complaint with the FBI and the IC3.  The more complaints that they get concerning this fraud, the quicker they will respond.

Received call from Mark Bankston.  Similiar scenario as above, they did provide a website at www.northtownfm.com.  They piggie back off of search engines from legitamate websites that are trying to help provide financial security or assistance. They then use this information and present an offer to the customer.  My friend also received this same information and tried it...he hasn't received the funds and got a call back from Mark saying that there was a small problem with the application and that in order to fix it, they will have to send another $798.70 but they will add an additional $2,000.00 to the loan.  I told him you got fooled once, don't do it again.  He is in the process of trying to get his money back...that is a long shot but dont anticipate seeing it.

I received a call from the same company. I work for a large bank and have many resources. We are currently doing research on this entity to determine if they are a legitimate company or not.

I received this same call saying the same thing and that I was approved for $5,000 and that I was considered High Risk because of my credit score. Hint (I never gave them my social security number so how could they know what my score was?...hmmmmmmmm) I received the faxed paperwork and it came from 1 Bridge Plaza 2nd Floor, Ft. Lee, NJ 07024.  I don't have $798.70 to send anybody either...I am looking to consolidate my debt and pay off the loan but the debt will be all gone. I tell ya, if you don't have discernment, you will get dupped and there are several companies that have sent me offers like this as well but I didn't fall for it. Consumer beware!

I got a call from Mark Bankston saying that I was approved for a 5000 personal loan but since I had recently filed for bankruptcy I would need to pay my first 5 months up-front totalling 798.70.  I'm very apprehensive.  I called the building manager in NJ and they're not even listed or having been heard of.  I called neighboring companies on the same floor as this company claims to be doing business on, and they've not heard of them either.  I asked Mark if they were doing business under a different name and he meantioned RCO to me.  But if I felt uncomfortable that I should call my lawyer and show him/her the paperwork that I was sent.

I don't think this company is legit. I think they are a fraud trying to get money from people.
