They keep calling my 82 year old mother's house do collect a debt that is for someone she does not know.  They have been told repeatedly to stop but just keep calling.  This is harassment.  We pay our bills and don't need to be harrased by some company who can't be bothered to locate the loser they want.

these people (Paragon Group in Concord) Barry & Associates, Bill Allen in Matthews are all scumbags representing unethical doctor groups that illegally bill for services not rendered.  they then hire these low lifes to harrass you and when you finally speak to someone and plead your case they tell you that you are wrong and then report it to the credit agencies.  Unbelievable.  

I hope they all get remote car starters for Christmas.

Thank you for sharing your limited knowledge with all of us jerks.  You did a great job taking up for the bill collectors, but a poor job introducing a point.  You need to include not only the pros of PriceWaterhouseCooper's study, but also the cons which are what everyone else is referring to.  There are three different sources for the excess waste in spending and two out of three of the problems is our very own healthcare professionals.  Being bullied into paying bills that are unfairly priced is a big deal in this unstable economic era we live in.  I appreciate the advice, but please pull your nose from the bottoms of the bill collectors and speak with more respect.

My business receives calls from this number several times per week.  The message always comes in saying 'this is not a telemarketing call' I've tried calling the number, but there is nothing that identifies the company.  since they are calling a business, i'm not so sure it's a legit collection company because they aren't even calling our main office, just a satellite office that doesn't handle any bills.

So, apparently, you work for them?? Own this company??  You wouldn't be making such a statement if you didn't!

I agree with upset on that.they just called my house asking for my husband,but he wouldnt tell me what he was calling for.All he said was to have him call "jon"before nine...bu***hit if you cant say what you want then dont call my house!!!

you can block this number by calling FROM cell phone or landline this number 1-888-382-1222,it will take appox 3weeks to be blocked.You MUST call from the phone you use to block.
They have NO right to make calls to your cell phone,the minutes YOU pay for.And yes it is a low-life dept collector trying to get info on a family member,that is NOT your job to give this info out.What happen to sending a LETTER to the person they are trying ot reach?Lets STOP THESE HARRASSING

In response to your comment about this company.  The company don't have to be so nasty when they are conducting business from whomever hired them and like you said they are a 3rd party company.  Collection agent think because they get nasty it going to make it easy for that person to make payments or pay the bill in full then they need to go a different route like they say "kill them with kindness you can get alot out of a person" pass that on to this company and maybe they will get people to bill there bills.  If, they contiue to be nasty they won't get nothing but people hanging up in there face and a bills that will never get paid.

These people are a trip they ask you to give  the number to were they just call and then get nasty with you when you ask them a question.  What kind of people or bill collect does that?  If this company is legit then they would have a problem given you the reason why they are calling. In the future if you are a collection agent don't be so nasty cause nasty want get that bill paid.

this compay goes by several names but is the same. the jon barry and brylan gann run it. it is now going by paragon revenue group. very cheesy. only a loser would do this for a living.  this and the tax collector are both loser jobs.

Paybil, you obviously work for John Barry and Assiociates.  And giving the name of the company is NOT priviledged info.  If they were really legit they would have no problem telling you the name of the company they work or their mailing address, or the name and phone number of their supervisor.  But since those questions have all gotten me a determinded "I'm not allowed to tell you that." it tells me they are not legit, and they know it.

Some shawn barry and associates called wanting a friend of mine who doesn't know who they are. Scammers but I told them I can't give that information and hung up.

They were calling for a lady named Jamie Guateloup. I used to get calls from this number ALL the time. My father called someone and the calls stopped for over a year. Now, just today, I received a call from them, requesting to speak with Jamie Guateloup about filing debt papers or something along those lines.

That may be so, but when they won`t even tell you what you owe and to who you owe it to, it is no longer ethical but harassment. I for one have no desire to give more of my personal information to someone who claims I have a debt and I have to pay it. I have no debt!!! The very mere fact they wouldn`t tell me who is my bill to unless I "confirmed" my information was what she was saying is ludicrous.  Send me a letter- I rather kill a tree than take your call at 8:15 in the morning. LOW LIFE!!!

They called me they asked me to confirm my name-which I thought was weird. When they asked to confirm my birthday, I declined and she quickly hung up. Seems like a scam.

@paybill - They DO NOT call the number that was provided to their client. As a matter of FACT they called my parents and my sister for a bill that I WAS NEVER billed for. So the hospital AND these collection clowns are violating federal law.

I have received phone calls from this number.  I do not have any payments which are behind.  I do not appreciate receiving phone calls from whomever this is.  They did not identify who they were representing I believe this to be a hoax.

I received the same call today "this is not a telemarking call"  then they give the number and really odd work hours and the message loops around.  What a pain,  This is an office and these calls waste my time.

Someone called from this company and asked to speak to someone that does not live here. They left a different phone number to call back to. I called back to inform them that this person didn't live here and they said ok.

The 800-230-6127 people who answer return calls (After calling me asking me to "Hold on") are very evasive and unprofessional, so I'm assuming they're crooks from a Collection Agency of some sort, or a telemarketing group who doesn't want you to know who they are.
They sound like used-car salesmen that were fired from their last previous 3 or 4 jobs....in other words, Low-Lifes.  When they call you and ask you to hold, put them on hold or tell them you'll "go get (whatizname)" and for them to hold on.

They call my cell phone constantly.  I would like to turn them in to the FCC if I could, and my try that route.

I am pretty sure its a collection agency and i get the calls too and i have told them to stop calling i dont know the person they are asking for.  and the calling stopped for a while but has started back up

Called us identifying themselves as "John Berry & Associates" inquiring about an adopted child long since gone from this address.

My number was called from 8002306127 and they identified their company as John Berry and Associates. I asked what they wanted and he responded by asking if a Shawna Meyers lived here. I answered no and they said she had given my number as a contact number. Who are thses people and their motive?

They called my cell phone and asked for my husband. They told me to hold. But no one ever picked up so I hung up. Then 4 minutes later they call again this time I told them no one with that name lived here and didn't know anyone with that name and they said ok. During those 4 minutes I was able to get to this site and look and all the comments and see that these people just want to bother someone.

this number called a family member wanting to talk to me....said it was not a business matter .....they new my full name and at end of converstion said praise the lord ....who are they ...they would not leave a name only another 1-800 number
