Yep, called now for past two-three months.  Sometimes using a different number.  I wonder if poor Ed ever gets to sleep at night?    I also wonder about these companies who advertise to "Stop debt collection" and "Have them pay you".  What type of fee do they want for the service?   I have written the FCC, the US Dept of the Treasury and have heard nothing.

Does anyone have an address for NCO that won't re-start the collection clock to tell them no more calls??

They call twice a day with the same automatically recorded message asking for no one by name. JUst saying to call a number about acount number xxxxx.  Very annoying. after six weeks of this.  They will often use another number or no ID provided, just an OUT of AREA call.

Yep, NCO Financial. DO NOT under any circumstances agree to anything. Just like others have written, think of it as getting a cut. The cut heals but leaves a scab. You move on. One day, you itch the scab and it falls off and voila! you are bleeding again!!!

Debt Collector
NCO Financial debt collectors.  This firm and many of the people it employs are considered the lowest of the bottom feeders in the debt collection scam industry.

If you return their call or engage with them in any way, you may place yourself at greater risk and jeopardy.  If they get you to pay anything on an outstanding debt, whether legitimate or illegitimate, they win because the collection clock starts ticking again for them... and it's a timebomb for you.

They are, indeed, a fourth generation debt collector which means they've bought the record of your debt from someone else who was unable to get someone else to get someone else to collect the debt.

Their business is a speculative enterprise and they willingly violate any law, say anything to you, use fraud, use guilt, use deceit in any fashion in order to make a killing off your good nature and sense of obligation.

They are a speculative enterprise.  They paid literally pennies on the hundreds of dollars for access to information about your alleged debt.  If they get you to bite and answer them with a payment, the clock starts ticking again on the debt and it won't clear for another 6-7 years.

They are like addicts.  If you give them a bag of crack or bottle of MadDawg20-20, they'll continue to be hooked on practicing bad debt collection practices and living off this very, very speculative business.

Anything you send them in payment is split by the firm with their collection specialist at a 40-60% rate of commission... they will tell you anything to get you to give them money.  Even if the debt is not yours, your payment then obligates you for the entire debt --interest, the original amount, court fees, legal fees, administrative fees, etc.

Often times, the interest and fees exceed the original debt and that yet another way their speculative business enterprise profits handsomely.

Don't give the addicts more crack.  Don't respond.  They never sue to collect.  In fact, the only way that NCO Financial sees the inside of a courtroom is IF THEY ARE SUED by a savy citizen frauded by this company of ill repute.

voice mail captured a call from this debt collector and it is NCO Financial, a disreputable firm that buys 3rd & 4th generation debt after 1) the original owner failed to collect, 2) a legal firm failed to collect or pursue litigation, 3) a general collector failed to secure payment on an account and then, 4) in walks NCO Financial buying the debt for 3-4 cents on the dollar.

Anything they can harass out of you, whether or not you owe them anything, will refresh the debt's statute of limitation.  Don't talk with them.  Don't return their call. Let it die its natural death.

This call is from debt collectors.  They call every day from four or five
different phone numbers. Talking to these people won't stop the calls. The
less you talk to these people the better so just let the phone ring.
