800-235-2173 is a scam.

They call, and then hang up. You call back.

The  message you will hear asks if there is anybody "over 60" in the household.

If you say yes, they offer you a FREE! $100.00 coupon good at Wal-mart, etc.

They say, "Call this 800 number and give you charge card..."  (what - why?)

These people are thieves looking to steal you credit card info.

Report them to the FBI.

Seriously, I can't pay the bill if they WON'T SEND IT!!! There's absolutely no point in sending the debt collectors if I have no access to a bill paying mechanism!!!

I was told the same thing, I told if I was sent collection how would I be able to get a loan?? I sent out a validated letter and have not heard any thing yet.

Got a call from this number for someone I have never heard of. They would not believe that I am not that person, and insisted on speaking with someone named Laura.....
I understand that they have a job to do, and I am sure that there are people out there who lie about who they are to avoid bill collectors, however, I have no reason to lie about who I am. I even told the lady to call my cell provider and ask who the owner of the number is. Wow.
Sure wish that they would leave me alone!

these people keep calling my cell they never lm, I am tired of them calling, and from reading the other complaints it seems like it is for all dr's bills I havent been to a dr or to a hospital in many years and when I did the insurance I had covered everything, it makes me wonder if it is reguards to my ex's bills. If so they really need to STOP calling me.

I have received very rude collections calls regarding outstanding bills from Fairview Hospital in MN- but the balance on my account is ZERO! I have called Fariview to confirm this and complain about collections calls but they just keep calling.

Received a call today from this phone number on my cell phone; I did not anwer it, and they did not leave a message either.

Next time they call you say:  I AM NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE CALLS AT MY WORK NUMBER.  PER THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT YOU ARE NEVER TO CONTACT ME AT THIS NUMBER AGAIN.  IF YOU DO I WILL FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.  Then hang up.  Do not give them a new number or engage in any conversation.

I got a call from these same people about my medical bills.  They already claimed a chunk out of my taxes for one last year before I even got my tax return and it was a bill for $500 for an emergency room visit that I was disputing because I had been REFUSED CARE due to no insurance. So then I was making payments on a separate bill - they took the money out of my refund for the bill I was disputing, while I was making payments on the other bill. Now they call and threaten to take the other bill out of my taxes as well, despite that I am making payments. Yeah, they are only $15 a month, but it's a PAYMENT. They keep calling anyway. They called and acted like they were my friend at work asking for me just by first name, and the shortened version of my name. They suck.

These people always call me.  Morning, day, night, whenever.  They always wake me up.  If this is a debt collection agency, then I paid off my last medical debt a while ago.  The only debt I have is on my credit cards, which of course I pay off monthly.  These people never leave voicemails either.

I called back that ph# too and just received "Hi this is Andy, how may I help you?"

Ok so this sucks.  They keep calling my cell phone.  Once in a while I'll answer it...to tell them to stop calling but it's no use.  I told them this is not the phone number of the person they are trying to get a hold of but they still keep calling.  They are annoying the crap out of me.  They call morning,  noon and night and as early as 7:30 am and as late as 10 pm!

This is a collection agency.  I made the mistake of answering the other morning.  Fairview Southdale Hospital for $133.00.  Won't set up a payment plan.  Began asking all kinds of personal questions like, how much do you make, do you own or rent, how much is your mortgage.  Says they need to answers to set up a payment plan.  I told her this call was over and hung up.

"This is Jean Miller.  Please return a call to my office at 1-800-235-2731.  I look forward to your call."

EVERY MORNING for the last two weeks!  I owe no money, have no outstanding bills, nothing!  I don't even have school loans!  And whenever I try to call back, it goes to an answering machine asking me to leave my name, number, and account number if i know it.  But this has nothing to do with my banks!

Got a recorded message at work (a man's voice)just said "Phone call to 1-800-235-2731" then disconnected.

Calls telling me I should take out a loan on my house, or a reverse mortgage, won't set up a payment plan, just tells me to send money each month.

The number keeps calling my cell phone. No message. I finally answered and it was a recording asking me to hold. So I held, then the recorded man's voice said "There is no one available for your call at this time, please hang up and call our number at 1-800-235-2731" Why call me, put me on hold, and not connect me with someone when I answer??? Not sure what this is.

I saw others have a bill being collected from Fairview, I might have a balance with Fairview still

I have great credit so why do I get this call day after day and never have gotten to talk to anyone. I am sick of it. Its not for me..

Paid my doctor bill over 6 months ago, just moved into a brand new apartment and already gotten 3 calls. Every time they call I'm automatically on hold. Hilarious.
