The phone calls from 407-732-2416 come repeatedly, the one time they left a message they gave this number
to call.  I directly called Chase and they just say to not answer or call back which is not much help when these
call come more than once a day.

Debt Collector
I got a call from Chase giving this number, and it's legit.  I thought it was questionable at first, since my bill was paid several days ago.  But when I looked online, it showed my payment had been returned, so my account was delinquent.  They were calling to collect payment, and were perfectly happy that I chose to make the transaction online.

Since about a week ago, I've been getting calls from 210-520-0004, 847-488-6000, 407-771-0887, 847-426-9209, and they all claim/appear to be with Chase.  I actually spoke to the caller from 847-426-9209, who told me he was in the Chase collection department.  He gave me a name, but he had an Indian accent. He would not give me a direct call back number to him individually. But, he said I could call 800-236-0657.  I told him that I did not know who he was, had no idea if he was actually with Chase, there was no reason for him to be calling me, and could he please give ME the full 16-digit credit card number about which he was calling.  He would not, citing security reasons!!!! So.... he's calling me about an account for which he will not provide the account number!!!!  I will be blocking ALL these numbers!!!

It is still alive...  Just got a voicemail from this number today with the "Chase" story. Considered calling back and banging a pot in their ear.

I have been receiving calls from supposed Chase people saying I have unpaid balance on Chase Amazon credit card which was closed many years ago.  They have wrong address for me but want last digits of my ss# to verify that I am this person.  These calls are troubling since they say I can call any Chase number to confirm but Chase says they have no active account for me.

This number was given to us as a customer service number to call because we were told we had an unpaid balance on our Chase credit card.  We have never had a Chase credit card.  When you call the number a recording says "thank you for calling customer support, please enter your 16-digit card number...", however they don't identify it as being Chase.  Every other credit card customer support number will state the name of the card issuer in the recording when the call is answered.  If you don't enter a card number a live person will get on the line and ask you for your card number again.  When asked, they say they are with Chase and then ask for your social security number so they can look up your account.  When you refuse to give them your info and tell them you don't have a card with Chase they either transfer you to someone else or disconnect the call.  Classic phishing scam.

I received the same scenario as posted above by "Not Falling For It". The voice message was left for me on my *work* phone number without an attempt to call my cell number first. I actually have two different accounts for Chase so I wouldn't have even known which account they were calling about anyway if it was real.

Okay, Im the idiot that gave away all his info.  But I was at least smart enough to check it out afterwards and to follow up with Chase.  As it turns out, this number (and 302-282-8004) are legitimate.  They are calling about late payments (I had 3) and as several people have suggested, they are a 3rd party collection agency.  They legitimatly waived 2 fees and authorized a payment which will go thru tomorrow.  When I called the number I put in my account # which did not work (which scared me) and then I was transfered to a women who worked to resolve the over due fees on my account.  After I finished, I realized I gave her my soc, and decided to do some verification.  I checked chase on line to see if the adjustments had gone thru and they had.  I then called chase and asked them directly about the numbers.  She admited that they WERE affiliated with Chase and were part of the collection agency dept.

This number is a big scam. My brother received a dozen calls - some late on a Saturday night - asking for me. When he would ask the nature of the call, he was told it was a private matter. The fact was that he felt harassed. He brought this to my attention and gave me this 800 number. When I called to inquire, I also heard the recording asking for my entire credit card number and then a human with a foreign accent stated the only way to tell what this was about would be for me to give either my card number or social security number. Since I own the property but do not live there, I know the phone number must have been taken from tax records. It seems too easy to get information. This was very scary.
