they have a new phone number it's 1-888-261-2595. It's still signed by Susan Murray though. Still just as big a scam. Silverleaf Resorts sponsors this scam. I've seen some of their properties in Huntsville and Lake Conroe, junk and the hidden property owner fees will kill you. Do your research people before you waste your time and money.

it is a fraud, they never deliver what they promise. I've gotten these for years and in the beginning answered them and won garbage. It's not worth the price of the gas.

I just got a letter today saying I won a Mercedes, BMW, or Porsche or 49000 in cash or 1500 shopping spree.  So I called to see what they had to say and wanted me to go to Tyler Texas and look at their resort only if I bring my Husband with me so I told them wasn't interested and this is a big scam so I turned them in to the BBB today.

MY MOM RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS PEOPLE AND ASKED ME IF I CAN CALL THEM SINCE SHE DOESN'T SPEAK ENGILSH TO SEE WHAT THEY NEEDED. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT SHE IS DISQUALIFIED BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH, I GUESS THEY FIGURE SHE FOREIGN AND HAS NO $$$ TO PURCHASE THEIR DUMB TIME SHARES. DIDN'T TAKE NO OFFENSE WHATSOEVER, I HAD THEM REMOVED HER NAME FROM THEIR MAILING LIST AND IT WORK. SO ANYTIME YOU GET CALLS FRO THIS PEOPLE JUST SAY YOU CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH AND THEY'LL LEAVE YOU ALONE.

Alicia:

I received the same phone call, and email later verifying my appointment time. If you click further at the bottom where it says "show full message, message has been clipped" you will see the official rules. Now it DOES say you are guaranteed one of four prizes, BUT if you read further and see the odds of every single prize the 3rd prize (which is the cruise) has a "53,099:53" chance of winning. This means that out of 53,130 Instant Gold cards there are only actually 31 winning prizes. 1 "car", 10 "shopping sprees", and 20 "$500 cash" tickets. Basically all that tells me is that the odds of scratching the five pots of gold is slim to nothing, so out of all 53,130 gold tickets you have the biggest chance of getting prize #3 which I'm pretty damn sure will be about 99% of  everyones "unique number printed on their game card that matches to their Official Awards List <--which will be the cruise that you have to pay a 100 "refundable" deposit on the spot which may I add does not include airfare or include the mandatory gratuities you have to pay when you take a cruise. Now I'm not rich either to be wasting a two hour drive close to Tyler, Tx OR gas money to be given a "90 min seminar" from hell, which will turn into a 3hr tour from research I have done on others that have been through similar seminars. Also did my research and NO America's Vacation Center is by no means related to the CON ARTISTS working for Award Verification Center. Sorry to have rambled on, but I am pretty upset that I along with others for a second thought we might have received an offer "too good to be true". As for Alicia and her ignorant (literally) comment, I am not an accountant, but it didn't take much more then basic math skills and patience to really understand the fine print to realize this is nothing short of a scam. You can shove your binding contract you know where, just because the minimum is $500 prize doesn't mean that is what you are going to get! If your gold card has the unique code that links to the cruise then thats what you're going to get which is most likely exactly what you're going to end up getting and later figuring it is not free at all. Thank you for those who keep up with this website to help people such as myself from getting lured in. As would also like to mention the number (1-888-567-8688) IS  a legit number for people that are wanting to opt-out of their information being sold to third party lenders, did my research on that as well.

I didn't call; but very glad for all those of you who have before who have come forward and shared their experiences.  You saved me a lot of trouble.

Of course I was extra suspicious after checking their website to find the contact number they told me to contact them by wasn't listed as one of their numbers:  1-800-309-8595

So - everyone is saying that they've received all of this info and then looked it up online and "found out it was a scam."  I only have found one post on a web board from someone who actually WENT and he said that he didn't win the grand prize, but he still took home a nice 32" flat screen tv for two hours of listening about time shares.  Who cares?  The minimum prize on mine is guaranteed at $500 and the location is an hour away.  I'm not so rich to turn that away.  I have a binding contract that says they are required to provide at least the minimum prize listed ($500) with no purchase obligation.  So, for all of you who are too rich to even bother seeing what it's about - shame on you.  I don't take advice from people who have never bothered to figure out the truth of what they're discouraging - that's just stupid.

And yes, I'm an accountant, and sometimes people do do these promotional prize giveaways - it's a marketing tool you idiot.  $50,000 is a fairly small marketing budget at the end of the day and that will give a lot of people $500 checks.  You wouldn't think twice about a heavily advertised $2,000 rebate on a new car purchase - this is the same concept (lure the people in by giving them something you can afford for free)

No, they absolutely are not one in the same.  America's Vacation Center is a legit travel agency based in Vista, California & one of the top American Express agencies in the country.  They are not related or involved in the scam referred to here, in any way, shape or form.  You really should do your research before you bash a company online with nothing to back it up with.

looks like all you win is a chance to drive somewhere and have a low to zero chance of actually getting something worthwhile.  I'd ignore it.

I Googled the address on a post card from AVC Claims Center, 6321 Blvd 26, North Richland Hills, TX 76180 with phone number 800 238-9720.  Google map street view indicates the address is a public baseball field.  This is another indication of AVC's credibility.

I received a notice that I had a certified letter at the post office.  I did not pick up the letter and received a cheezy post card about a week later from AVC Claims Center.  The post card indicated to call 800 238-9720 within 72 hours to claim one of four prizes.  I Googled the number and got this site.  Thanks to the host of this site.

I don't know who susan murray is but she is a pathetic excuse for a saleswoman. I'm hoping there is no susan murray because I have half a mind to stalk her and maker her life miserable. I called, talked for about a half an hour to three different AVC employees. I even made an appointment. Thank god I like to google otherwise I might have been dumb enough to drive almost two hours to be brainwashed by low-life snakes that can't find a real profession, or even something worth selling. Hail to thee GOOGLE!!!

This is nothing short of being a SCAM.  I called back, spoke with a very nice lady, gave her a fake phone number and told her I'd take just the cash as I was unwilling to go to TYLER and get a tour of their "fabulous facility."  I continued to lead her on and then told her that I was well aware this was a SCAM and since she was so cordial on the phone, I recommended she secure a more honest and reputable form of employment.  I also infomed her that if my name was not taken off their list, I would file formal compaints with the BBB, Attorney General and the FBI. Not to mention I am on the do not call list!   I have a good mind to call them back repeatedly and tie up their lines and give them bogus info, then burst thier bubble... WHAT a***oles!
