I RECEIVED A CALL I SHOULD SAY THREATENING CALL FROM ERIC REVERING AND HE HAS BEEN HARASSING ME AT MY JOB. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BUT JUST SEEN A WHOLE LIST OF COMPLAINTS  ON THIS GUY.

Nice work Alfalfa...spew knowledge out to people who have no idea what they are doing.  Yes, send a cease and desist letter on an account that they have.  And watch them get sued and have their wages garnished.  When you leave the creditor no options...what do you expect?

Why cant you just call the Law Firm, and yes, they are a Law Firm who DOES sue people everyday....and work out an agreement?  Why not even pay $50 a month until things turn around?

Or better yet, work out some sort of settlement?  

The reason why people always have some lame story about the big bad banks or law firms is because they fail to return calls for months or years on end, ignore dozens of letters, and simply choose to not to respond to the issue.

Yes, people have problems and they struggle.  But everyday people handle their responsibilities and address those problems rather than ignore them.

File BK, set up payments, or settle the account.  Anything is better than just ignoring your issues.

I fail to see how NOT paying someone you do NOT owe money to is being a dead beat... People who have no concept of life, and how sometimes things happen, make me crazy.  Dont ever assume someone is a dead beat because they are unable to pay a bill. I just had a child a few months ago, and my work does not pay for maternity leave.  Any money that I do have, goes to feeding and clothing my children.  These forums are not intended for people to go around bashing people they do not know.  It is to help report businesses who do things ILLEGALLY! Regardless of whether you owe money, no one has the right to harrass you.  There are legal ways to get payment for a deliquent debt.  Calling 8-10 times a day, using fowl language, and threating tactics is NOT the way to treat people, whether or not they owe money.....

I'm sick of these retards calling me even after I ask them not to.  Owe for sure I owe $1400.00 but I lost my job 11 months ago and have been struggling just to put bread on the table and pay the electric so I be damed if I'm gonna send some lowlife bum collection agent money.  Now if I can get a better job and catch up on buying clothes and shoes for my family then I'll send the money BUT UNTIL THEN a***oles calling me 100 times ain't gonna get you anywhere.

I'll pay when I can....Never expected for my company to close after working there for 12 years so f*** Central portfolio my family comes first.  Besides I didn't contract with Central portfolio for anything and I don't think I'm liable to pay them a dime, now if they bought the debt that just their bad luck the stupid a***s

don't even think about paying them a dime! you don't and never did owe this company.  Pay the bill to the original debtor.  If the debtor refuses payment because they sold your debt (and recieved a nice tax write off for it) that's not your problem.  Get your credit report, tell them that the debtor refused payment, fire off a CEASE AND DESIST LETTER to these clowns and call it a day.  If they are going to sue you, then they will sue you, but chanches are unless you admitted to the debt or made a payment on the debt they won't.  They'll have no legal grounds. Half the time the paper trail on your debt is lost by the time it gets to these fools, the other half of the time, its not worth the money they are trying to get you to pay for it.  Why do you think they are sooooooooo eagar to settle.  because any doller amount you give them will overly pay for the pennies on the doller debt that they bought.  Would you pay $10,000 for a $1000 car?  No. This is the same thing.  Don't get ripped off for paying for a devalued debt.

Or you could just pay your bills. Call me crazy I know, in this day and age where no one seems to have to do that anymore.

I'll bet if you paid them, they'd stop calling.

the belzer office is a bunch of crooks they are affiliated with central portfolio control which has at least 4 lawsuits going against them right now so google them to find the cases and request the court docs if they did the same to you then find one person and file a class action

Eric Revering has a facebook account and you can see him with a girl at dinner.  Anyway I suggest calling Joseph and asking him to have Eric stop calling you as you have no way of helping them.  Their job is to get the money, and they will do whatever they can to get it.  So simply let them know this is a dead end.

This is exactly my situation.  My son has bad debt, has not lived here for years but keep calling me.   I have caller ID and if I see it is out of state I ignore it.

Here is what you do:

Send them this "Drop Dead" letter VIA certified mail and request a return receipt. If they continue calling after you have written proof they have received it, they can face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation:

I get call from Belzer  (THey call themselves attorney office) THey are calling about debts that are not mine. They were from one of my children years ago. They call at 8AM 9am and are relentless. Hello I?m back.  This is the Law Offices of Joseph H. Belzel, PA.  They are located at 6640 Shady Oak Rd., Ste. #301 Eden Prairie, MN 55344.  The person who called was not "Erik Rivers" it was Eric Revering which is NOT an attorney.  He is a real A** Hole.  Because of the fact we have available credit on other credit cards, they want us to rob from Peter to Pay Paul, and max out my available credit.  This "Law Firm" is also in dealing with Central Portfolio Control, Inc., which is right next door in suite #300.

Man called from this number claimed to be an attorney named Erik Rivers.  Have not spoke to him, what it is regarding.  Will keep you posted.
