russ manning called said was from the fraud hot line dept and would save us from the a scam. did a lot of talking about people selling name and address to others then you are stuck with lots of bills. well he will  protect you for 398.46 just give him your credit card no. it will be done. told him I just punch his no. into the computer and it said this  a fraud he's doing .  he hung up.

I have to say that I'm in agreement with "Tred" and "Banker" concerning "BERNIE"~you have got to be joking! You are lying out your "A***" fella! To begin with, my Dad got a call from CBRG", phone#480-889-2487. He said a man asked if my Dad remembered when he had called a couple months ago, stating he was with an investigative company dealing in frauds,scams, etc. My Dad said yes, the man then said "well, I called to tell you that they are after you again and we need to stop them." He gave my Dad an 800 number for him to call~800-246-2487~Fraud Assistance if he started getting scammer calls! My Dad agreed. The man then told him his credit card was in jepardy and  to get his credit card, so my Dad did. The man asked if he saw the number on top, Dad said yes. The man then said "OK, what credit card is it, Mastercard or Visa?" My Dad said neither. The man apparently got upset and hung up! My Dad then came to me and told me about it. Well, first I called the Fraud Assistance number and got a recording to the effect that "your life is about to change"! call 800-927-TALK(8255)! So I called that number and I'll be damned if it wasn't a hotline for men to "meet" hot, sexy women! Well I then called the first number that started all this "krap" and it just rang and rang...DO NOT fall for these low-life street scum!!! My Dad got scammed by some Jamaicans awhile back too! We've gone through alot in the last few of years, he's health is failing, so I live with him to take care of him. And I've dealt with alot of low-life A-holes trying to scam him! I couldn't talk him out of the first scam by the Jamaicans because he was SO sure they were honest and sincere and the money was really his. But, after they kept calling wanting more money he realised the falsehood and let me deal with them! And yes, they threatened to kill me too, but being the stubborn woman I am, I just dished it out right back in their faces, and I'm sure they were severely agitated with me. Do I care? Not on your life! I just know someday, when they least expect it, all the "krap" these low-lifes are dealing out will come back to them 3-fold! I await that day with a sh*t-eating grin on my face...

I was getting flooded by people telling me I won money and I did fall scam to Jamaica one time before I signed up with this company. I also looked on the internet on ( WWW.YOUTUBE.COM )and typed in Jamaica Scams and was in shock. When I sent $500.00 to Jamaica for the 2.5 Million they said I won they kept calling me back wanting more money of course I learned the hard way, I told them they were a scam. Well this is simple.You have to diffrent Investigator Andersons from 2 diffrent companies. The phone number that starts with 770 is in Georgia. The 800# is in AZ

"Investigator Anderson" at 770-451-9761 called a friend looking for me in regards to a loan i Hadn't paid off in almost 2 years. She said the loan office was getting ready to file charges for check fraud. and that i could pay off with her TODAY the balance before monday when the proceedings for my charges began. are the selling identity theft protection or are the debt collectors based on the phone call my friend rec'd.

please advise if anybody knows anything about them.....

Call from 800 246 7156 advising they were a Hot Line for Fraud.  If any calls were received and you suspected fraud just call them the number and they will check to see if it is a known fraud operation or if it is indeed a call from a reputable business.  Ironically just a couple of hours later a call came in from 888 389 4435 a PCH rep advising you need to call Federal Express number 1 866 777 2009 to confirm a large prize check is awaiting delivery.  Will not go into further details, see post here for the 888 389 4435   ' Rest of the Story '.

These guys are totally bogus, very pushy, and extremely rude! They were hasseling my dad, a senior citizen, and literally badgering him to give them the numbers from the bottom of his check.  Apparently a man named Robert Weir from Consumer Benefits Group called my dad the first time.  The amount of $388.56 was to be debited from my dad's account for investing identity theft.  Apparently he must have said he was from B of A because when I looked back in my dad's check register that was what was written down on the line.

A few weeks ago Mr. Anderson, as he called himself, called my dad saying that they must not have gotten all the correct numbers the first time and he needed dad to read them to him again.  I got on dad's other cordless phone and listened in to this guy telling him to go get his checkbook and read the numbers to him.  I then spoke up and asked him his first name which was "Bill".  I had him spell his last name, asked him for the name of his company, the date, check number, and amount of the check he was talking about.  He was compliant up to this point.  

When I asked for his phone number so I could check into this information and call him back he asked who I was.  My dad said, "She's my daughter."  Then the rudeness kicked in.  "Your father has the phone number already.  (Apparently given on a previous day???)  I have no dealings with you, this is none of your business."  I remained calm and asked for his phone number again because my dad has been getting a lot of these random calls with people asking for money.  

Then he started badgering my dad and interrupting me everytime I tried to say something.  He told my dad (forcefully) to go get your checkbook and tell me the numbers at the bottom.  I told my dad, "Don't you dare give him those numbers."  Both my dad and Bill Anderson heard me.  Then he threatened my dad and said that if he hung up before giving him the numbers this "debt" was going to go into collections.

I was so ticked by now I was trying to find the number to call the police and couldn't find the local number.  I ended up calling 911 and said I was trying to find the number to the police station, the other phone still to my ear so Bill Anderson could hear and he hung up immediately.

I was so shocked at how rude he was (and I didn't have my glasses on) that I don't know remember if the tiny little screen on the cordless said Consumer Benefits Group or not, but that is who he said he represented.  Someone please, please, please stop this obvious fraud from continuing!!  I can't be with my dad 24-7 and I don't want this to happen again!

I received a call from Russell Stickell. He said i would no longer receive any more phone calls from people soliciting my personal info.  He then asked me for my personal info. I ended the call.

Have had 2 calls from this number.  An "Investigator Anderson" went into detail about the danger I am in for Identify Theft --  from International sources--Canada, Jamaica, etc.  I have been inundted with mail from all over the world and didn't know what to do about it.  Same with constant telemarketing calls or calls from people who just simply hang up with no answer.  I have made it a practice to not answer any phone call who does not list their calling name; and depending on the name I may not answer that. I am to get a call today from Robert Meyers who will verify the info given to me by Investigator Anderson, and inquire as to whether he was courteous, etc.,  and I am also to receive something from them in the mail.  They claim in 2-3 months most of the junk mail will stop (Thank you, Lord), and also the phone calls.  Said they are taking my name, address, and telephone number off whatever "sucker list" ....  for a charge of $388.56.  If they can do what they say they can, and they certainly sound legit, it will be worth every penny.  I will know in a couple of months.
