Totally wrong. This is AT&T Repair. They called to let me know the land line I have was back in service.

AT&T Repair - I had called 2 different trouble reports in after a storm knocked out both our phone lines. One the day scheduled for repair, they called my cell (which is the contact number I left) to give a status update which was that the trouble had been cleared & left a message when I didn't answer. This is a legitimate number and was a legitimate call, however, scammers do use this number sometimes to spoof on their calls to hide their real number from caller ID.

If you call it, it really is ATT Repair. When you see the number on Caller ID - apparently it can be spoofed by scammers - but sometimes it actually is ATT Repair calling back. I'm wondering: maybe if you dial it you get ATT but if you hit "return call" on your cell, it dials the scammer? Is that how spoofs work?

We called, AT&T because our phone line wasn't working in the house, they call back 24 hours before to confirm the time and date a technician is going to be there to fix the problem in your home. Must have someone 18 years or older home, and the area where the phone line goes into the house must be accessible.

call received from this number on my land line answering machine...caller id showed the number and at&t repair center....caller's name was 'bill' and his message was that my tel number was ok now, no problems!! since i don't have at&t, this is abit fishy...called 'him' back only to get a  menu of numbers to call, i was asked to enter my tel # which i did, only to be told by a robot that it was not an at&t #!....tried calling back but # wouldn't ring...the third time i called, i was able to get a human to respond but her explanation for why i received the call in the first place was not exactly explanatory and that my tel # was not an at&t #!!! the area i live in does not have at1&t.......'tis abit unnerving......

Received a call from "ATT Universe" about scheduling an appointment for installation. We never asked for ATT to install anything. We did not buy anything. We did not talk to anyone about ATT services.

Likewise called back and couldn't speak to anyone.

You should ask John Bauer at eGumball, Inc, 949-597-1000 about the calls since he is providing the service for the robocalls to this jerk.

Recording calling to make sure my repair order for AT&T had been fulfilled.  Not a scam.  I had reported phone trouble, this was a follow up call.

AT&T have many imported idiots that work there. Their english is broken and are incompetent.They may be from Honduras, El Salvadore, Columbia,Venezuela or even Mexico...All of which are havens for drug cartels and hispanic scumbags.

I have been having noise problems with my land phone since Aug. 15 and when they test the line the trouble comes clear for a day and then it comes back in. When I hear from you folks and it test clear you close the trouble ticket but don't resolve the trouble. Please help me with this problem that I'm experiencing.

ATT Service calling to confirm a service appointment

Called AT&T on my cell phone for repair service of home phone (land line #).  Got a call from this number on my cell phone 2 weeks after fix of home (landline) phone.  I deleted it, after reading above posts.  Hope I don't see it again.

Spoofed number scam. Number on caller ID is AT&T repar center, but caller (on my Verizon mobile phone) was trying to get me to sign up for some sort of service. My mobile number is unlisted and on state & federal do not call lists

I got this number from the internet for AT&T repair.  I held for 15 minutes and did not get to report my home phone out-of-order.

If you receive a call on your mobile phone from 1-800-246-8464, do not return the call unless you want to sign up for a telephone information
directory service that will cost you $9.99 a month on your mobile phone bill!

If you call the number, you will hear a recording asking you to text
the letter Y to the company's text response (as a result of you dialing the number).  Be smart and do not reply to the text message.  Delete it
and if necessary, add their telemarketing 800 number to your list of blocked numbers (If you are not sure how to block certain numbers, ask your mobile service provider.)  
Don't be a victim of unscrulpulous scam operators.
