They've been calling obsessively. They'd even left one message saying they were calling from United Job Placement. I finally answered just to try to put a stop to it, though stated I was someone else. They knew what field I was in and what city I lived in and said they had job offers, wanted me to come in for an interview, etc. I haven't applied for a job and they asked where I worked. I started to say, but stopped myself. I don't know who these people are or what they want, but they've been reported on other sites and use many different phone numbers (she gave me 877-370-1517 and 877-370-1507 for the message I was taking for myself). They've also gone under a courier company. I would love to know what their intention truly is.

They called me on my cellphone with this number, but because I didn't recognize it and it was an 800 number I didn't answer the call. About 5 minutes later another call came in an unknown number again I didn't answer because it is unknown. This time they left a voice mail message:
""Yes this is Gerald Francis from United job placement we have a referral for "my name" can you please ugh call me back at 1-877-472-8224 extension number is pause 663 thank you."

I received 2 calls on my cell phone and they left no message. When I received the 3rd call and answered, a woman told me she had a floral delivery for me of 2 dozen roses from someone named Don, no last name, from a company called All About Flowers. She asked for my home address and said wanted to make sure it was correct and that someone would be there to take delivery and sign for flowers. She gave me an old address I hadn't lived at for amost 6 years. She then asked me for my work address repeatedly and I refused to give it to her saying there would be someone there all day to take delivery of flowers. She then told me that they were very busy and might not get to deliver until tomorrow. In the meantime, she had already called my home number several times and my Mother answered and told her I wasn't there. When she finally spoke with me on my cell, she called my Mother back and accused her of lying. That's when I knew something was VERY WRONG... WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE????
The phone number they called from is: 800-251-0517.

This is the 5th time that I have been called by this number this year, this time they said that my auto insurance is about to run out and that it is my final notice to call them to renew it. Before they were telling me that they have some job offer for me, before that it was a package that they called not only me, but my mother at work and my aunt at her house using direct unlisted lines. There has to be a way to track these people and to stop them from calling. I couldn't catch the name of the company they said this time because my voice-mail cut off the first few seconds of the call.

They called claiming to be with a national employment agency and had a job for my husband.  I explained he's disabled and he then fished for our current address and said he'd mail out a hard copy of the info.

I got a call saying that my husband had a package coming from JcPennys and if we would be home between 3-4pm. They also verifyed my husbands job. They wanted to let us know that my husbands job was the security question, for the delivery driver. I got a weired feeling about this after the phone call and tried calling back, it said the number was no longer in service.

Debt Collector
They called and pretended to be the US post office.  They were fishing for personal information from everyone that would listen, even called back from a local number.  They said that they have been trying to make a delivery that needs to be signed for.  My family thought it was honest and was just trying to help so they gave them cell phone numbers and corrected the address.

I got a call from these people too.  Looking for my wife.  We have different last names but I had a hunch what these people were looking for so I played dumb.

My gut reaction is that these are not bill collectors, they are service people.  They are going to try to serve you court documents so that is why they are confirming your address.  If you show up, even with a cop with you, they will still serve you documents.  Do not let these people know where you live or could be found!

Some woman called me on my cell phone, verified old history like everyone else...  It could easily be a debt collector, but...  The last four of my social is the scary part.  I'm in California.  Sounds like they are all over the country though.  I can't believe I gave them my actual home address.  ACK.

Yesterday I received 4 missed calls on my cell phone while at work, with one having a voicemail.  It said they were calling for my brother about job placement and left the number (866)375-2164 xt. 822.  Then today I received a call at 6:41 am which I did not answer, then another at 6:42 am, to which I answered the phone.  The lady said she was calling for my brother.  I told her I don't live in the same state as him and that she has the wrong number.  She asked me to give her his number.  I told her it was early and that I would not give her the number.  She said I don't care about my brother and that she would call back for the number.  I told her not to call back.  She then called 4 times in a row, each of them I answered and told her she is out of her mind.  The last call my fiance answered and asked for her supervisor because this is harrassment.  She said she is the supervisor.  He then asked her for her name and she said her name was my mother's name.

A few hours later once we woke up, I called the number she left the previous day in her voicemail, but my phone number was blocked.  I called again from my fiance's number, but it said no one could take my call.  Then not even 5 minutes later, my fiance got a call from MY CELL PHONE, but my cell phone was sitting right next to me, NOT calling him!  He answered and it was silent.

I then called my brother and gave him the number to see why they are calling for him.  He got ahold of the lady, and told her not to call him or me ever again.  She then called him 15 TIMES in a row, each time asking "Do you have anything to say now?".  THIS IS HARRASSMENT!!!!!

I got the "National Express Delivery" call. Left a message on my mobile saying that I had a package and that they needed to confirm a date they can deliver it to me. The "soft voice" woman as we're calling her, even left me a 6 digit tracking number.

I'm from MO. I'm curious on where these other posters who have recieved these strange calls are from?

First, my husband and I both received calls on our private cell phones (two seperate numbers) from an old disconnceted phone number that we had two years prior.  We never answered the call.  Then, we received a call from our mail carrier saying she was returning MY call and gave my private cell phone number as the number given to her( I do not give this number to anyone)  Someone called the Post Office and impersonated me and said there was a package being sent from her sister that kept getting sent back instead of being delivered to her.  The mail carrier thought it was me so she confirmed MY correct address to the impersonater.  So now they have my private cell phone and  home address hooked up together.

I am 100% sure that this is a debt collection company, since I have outstanding bills that I cannot pay.  There has to be some law that prohibits someone from impersonating someone to a Federal Government Agency.  My Post Office has been alerted that something weird is going on, and they are now going to pay attention to their caller ID, but these people already have the info they need and obviously will not be calling back.

An unidentified female called my house claiming to be an employee of "National Express Delivery". She had asked for my name and a confirmation of my address as there was an awaiting package for me. I found it quite suspicious since I did not order anything recently. I had called the number back on my Caller ID and unsurprisingly, the mailbox was full.

A woman called from this number saying she was with OSF Human Resources and was I still interested in a job I had previously applied for, they had several openings.  She proceeded to give me the job description, salary, etc and then asked me to confirm my address, which she stated to me and I agreed that was my current address and she had the last four of my social security number.  She then asked if I wanted to use my current employer for reference purposes and I said yes and gave her his name and cell number. She immediately called him and verified my employment but told him she was calling for an auto loan.  I verified with OSF Human Resource Department, Kelsey Brown does not work there and that is not their hiring practice.  I feel like a total idiot that I feel for this.  I filed a complaint online and I am contacting our local police department.  But when she called my boss, a local number came up on his caller id which I now have and will give to police.  I want to know how they got all my personal information in the first place.

The caller claimed to be with Western Express and said they attempted to deliver a package and no one was home. I asked who the package was from and they said it was a vacation package and weighed 8 1/2 pounds. The caller said they would deliver it tomorrow between 9 to 10 am. She confirmed that the number she called me on was my cell number and asked for other numbers.

Said that they were with UPS, had recently moved so thought that the call may be legit.  Said that needed date of birth and confirmed for a target gift.  Now that I googled the # I am furious that some ignorant jerk decided to find out info pertaining to me in such a fashion.  What happened to business ethics?  If I receive any more calls from these individuals I plan to let them know exactly what I think of them.

These people are some sort of a collection agency, they keep calling for one of our employees pretending to have a delivery for him.  The first time they called it was to pretend to verify employment (I got wise when the story didn't hang together), then pretending to deliver a package (just a scam) anad now again with the package.  When I realized it was the same people again I told the guy "you people are so full of it" and hung up.  He called back on a different number and insulted me.

As a consumer advocate and investigator, it's not often that I fall prey to such unethical and fraudulent practices. This is one organization that almost got past me -- they are good at what they do. My pride is not damaged as I take each of these as a learning experience.

Rather than get into the details of my experience with them (as its very similar to all others), I would like to emphasize the importance of reporting this organization. In order to be successful, it's critical that you be both insistent and consistent in terms of reporting and following up on your complaint. It's very simple -- the more complaints, the best chance we have of Law Enforcement taking this matter seriously. It will take time, but if you don't take a stand, no one will and these folks will continue to utilize unethical and fraudulent practices to make your life a living hell.

The first step in the process is to file a complaint with www.fraud.org. This organization will refer your complaint to all appropriate Law Enforcement agencies. It doesn't stop here however, please contact your local police and inquire as to whether they can help. Because these people have YOUR personal information, please tell the Police you fear for your life. Following that contact, please contact your State Attorney's General Office and file a complaint. The final step is contacting the appropriate Federal Agencies -- FTC.gov - Federal Trade Commission followed by FCC.gov - Federal Communications Commission.

Finally, It is incredibly helpful to report this organization to ANY and ALL consumer protections websites: www.ripoffreport.com, consumeraffirs.org, and all others you discover on google.

Do humanity a favor and make an effort to rid our society of such scumbags.

They first called my parents house telling my little brother that they were my work trying to get ahold of me. So he gave them my number thinking that it was important. They called me from 1-800-251-0517 and I didnt answer then they called right back from a local number. I spoke to a lady that said she was calling about a job application. I told her I was not interested and to take my number off her list and hung up. She then called back right away and I told her that I would call the cops if she called again and she had the nerve to tell me to meet her somewhere with the cops with me and see what happens!!! The scary part about it was I had just gotten a new number 2 days ago and all of a sudden my phone started to ring with my old cell phone number!!! When I called my cell phone provider they told me that they had not given that number to anyone to use!

Please be careful when they call! I think everyone should call the police if you get this call because they are doing something very scary and illegal!

Received several calls from someone named "Rog" or "Rod" from this number claiming to be with United Job Placement.  They have apparently called my former employer asking about me and my current employer as well.  They said they had a job application for me for Harley-Davidson and that they needed to send me a package.  Does that sound like a scam or what????

I received 5 calls right in a row from this phone number, but assuming it was a debt collector I did not answer. 2 minutes later my next door neighbor was knocking on my door saying that UPS was on the phone for me and he has no idea why they were calling him.

The woman claimed to be from UPS and told me that they tried to deliver a package for me from Brylane Home this morning but I was not home. She said it was 7:45 AM that they tried and I said I was sleeping. (Tho in hindsight, my dog would have barked).

She said they needed to verify my address and birthday and she wanted to reschedule delivery. She told me I would need to verify my birthdate and she told it to me and I said yes. She said I would need to show my ID when the man came.

She then asked me to verify my place of employment, which I am currently disabled and have been for 5 years, so she asked where I last worked and I told her and she said it was not what she had on file for me. Then she told me a company name, which was my ex-husbands business 12 years ago, and I told her that.

Normally I am not this stupid... but she threw me off track by using Brylane Home, as I just placed an order with them 2 days ago. I had just woken up and was not clear headed...

I called my local sheriff, (after I realized it was weird) and he investigated and found out it is indeed a debt collector called "NorthLine Group"....

so if you see this number, it IS a debt collector and that is their name.

Today i received a call from 800-251-0517. The lady  told me I had missed a package from UPS.  She wanted to know If i was going to be home the next day so they could redeliver the package( which was a check from macys).  They tried to verify information, had my former job on file.  I called ups to find out if they infact had a package for me.  Needless to say Ups did not have a package for me.  Tried to call the number, to no avail.  Not sure of the  callers intent but i am surely displeased and will be reporting this incident to the proper autorities.
