Got a charge on my account.

They are now using the same number (1-800-256-8416) in connection with a free trial of Acai Berries. Cannot get any reply by phone, the number is registering as disconnected. Sent a letter of cancellation the same day to an address that the customer service numbers were registered to. Free trial showed up, but I am still unable to get through by phone, and the return address on the package is different to the one I sent the cancellation to.
Hoping to cancel my bank account and open a new one before I get a huge charge made to it, but can't get an appointment to sort it out until the 4th May.

I have the same charge of $9.76 appearing on my credit card from Profit Vault, in addition to charges of $2.95 and $74.26 from Bright White, so far!!!  I have called my credit card company but they said there is little they can do.  They gave me the phone numbers they have for Profit Vault and Bright White and the people who answer at Profit Vault have no idea what I am talking about and I can't even get through on the 877-874-1511 phone number for Bright White that the credit card company gave me.  When I pulled up the original link I used to order, the names have changed.

The exact thing happend to me. I ordered Brite White and now I am getting charged the same amount $9.76 from Profitvault. Also from Idol Beauty and Everbrite. Bunch of scamming liars!!!!  NEVER USE YOUR CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE FOR A FREE OFFER. SEND A CHECK OR USE PAYPAL.

Same thing happened to me. I have charges from both. I have put in disputes with our credit card company, we'll see what they can do about it. I sure have learned my lesson the hard way!!!!

I had also been charged for the same amount of $9.76. I had ordered max diet a couple of weeks ago and cancelled the order. I think its the same company who charged me for the max diet. I have tried calling to the same # 1-800-256-8416 and it sounds busy. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM.... BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY ONLINE!!!!!! I dont know how to get my refund back. Does anyone have any advice???

Warning: Diet Max, Bright White, and Profitvault are all fronts for a money laundering scam. Warn everyone you know not to buy from them. When you buy from one company, charges from the other companies will show up on your bank statements.

did you order from bright white or diet max before this happened?

this is a scam. i bought DietMax and they graciously signed me up!

this happened to me as well.  and there are a few additional charges from BriteWhite and another diet suppliment company.

card is canceled and bank is fighting this for me.  love Chase Bank.

this happened to me. they told me it would be refunded within 5-10 days.... 32 days later, still waiting. i have called again and they said 15 more days.... 15 days later, still waiting. they said 5 more days, so tomorrow is 5 more days so we'll see. but i doubt it. i also got the 9.76 charge also. i filed fraud for all these charges. and my bank is working on getting it all back. im glad i read all this. they are scamming us big time!!

that is because these free trial scams are mis-understood and no one ever reads the terms and conditions.

I had this exact same thing happen to me.  It appears to have stemmed from a recent transaction my husband did online for a free trial of supplements.  Before he could even use the full trial, our bank account was charged $87.47 and then 10 days later charged again the same amount plus another $2.95.  The bank could not reverse it while it was pending and said I would have to file a fraud complaint after the charges posted.  The company, Diet Maxx, said it will refund the charges in 5 to 10 days.  Will have to wait to see if that happens.  This happened last week.  Now I see a pending transaction of $9.76 from ProfitVault with the same phone number shown by SweetDisaster.  I called the 800# and got what sounded like a call center in India and the woman could not answer any of my questions without looking it up.  I could hear her flipping pages and saying ummm, ummm.  When I asked what product they sold and why my account was billed (she finally found the right page) and said/read she could not answer my questions and they sell many products.  She said she would need to ask me some questions first. Yeah, whatever!  I hung up on her.  Moral for my brainless husband....do not purchase products online from companies you do not know.

This is no phone company, I just got a charge for $9.76 on my account two days ago. When I asked my bank to look into the matter further they did and told me that the "charge" was no longer on my account. Plus the Company name is: PROFITVAULT.  Their number is 1-800-256-8416. I have NEVER heard of this company before, nor talked with this company on the phone and they somehow managed to get my card information! This is some serious stuff that someone is doing. I am warning all people: THIS IS A POSSIBLE THREAT FOR IDENTITY THEFT! Please heed this warning, and tell your bank. As for me I am gonna get a new card!
