"The NOVO 1 Laurel, MD, business unit directly serving Verizon and other leading companies focuses on high-tech business-to-business and business-to-consumer outbound teleservices..."

I will not comment on the business-to-business calls because that is the problem of the business receiving the call. However, the business-to-consumer calls ARE covered by the DNC list. NOVO 1 (a.k.a. Protocall Communications) is violating the DNC list. Since they are NOT Verizon, they DO NOT have an established relationship with me.

Danyell Hill from this phone called our company and offered us a package with flat rate $149.99 including Verizon DSL. Since it costs us less, we were happy with it. but when bill came, we do have Verizon DSL service, but not with a flat rate package. those guys from whatever company are sales reps. outside of Verizon, just try to sale Verizon DSL, nothing else is good.  Don't be cheapted.

Got a call from this Company in the spring offering me Verizon DSL plus if I signed up I would get a Dell laptop plus rebates on my installation fees and the first month of service.
I called the number given to me by Joseph Jones of this comoany and did get through.  However, he said I had to pay the bill in full first then I would b=get a voucher stating the laptop would be sent ot me.
I have talked to Verizon about this and no one seems to know anything about this company.
I get the recording that all csr's are busy and to leave a message.
My next step is the Attorney General.  This is totally bogus.

Kimberly Dorsey Called claiming to be subcontracted by AT&T, her company supposedly called "Protocall Communications", trying to get our firm to bundle services in an "all 4 one" deal, and while claiming to be working for AT&T, she slipped up and said "Verizon", then profusely apologized and kept saying "AT&T", also kept asking how many phone lines we have. if this were a legit call and they did work for AT&T, they would KNOW THE AT&T CUSTOMER first.

I received a call from this number -- they claimed to be from Verizon, but when questioned they became more vague.  I insisted on getting a phone number, and they gave me the 800-263-8015.  When I called back, the woman answering the phone told me the company name was Protocol Communications and they were an authorized Verizon dealer.  I called Verizon, and Protocol Communications is NOT affiliated with Verizon.  They are what is known as a "cramming" company -- they twist both their own words and yours in order to add service fees onto your account.  Having just (finally) gotten my money back from another such company, believe me, I was not anxious for another such incident!  I would advise everyone to beware of anyone claiming to represent Verizon and wanting to review your account!!!

As a former employee of NOVO1 we would get quarterly visits from Verizon CEOs and organizers. We sell their products for them to you. Now ask you self this how was Verizon able to remove the DSL from your account and it wasn't their DSL? NOVO1 and other companies do not supply  service or bill we sell for you providers

I just got off the phone with Verizon after Nova 1 call and offered a cheaper calling plan. My Verizon rep did confirm that Nova one was a authorized Verizon affiliate and that Nova 1's offers were valid.

Complete slam scam. My wife was duped initially and we had a $80+ local calls bill. Verizon credited back that amount. They just called again and were promptly hung up upon.

Yes this is definitely a slam I just got off the phone with Verizon who was happy to help me remove the DSL service they added to my account. Verizon was very helpful and apologetic for the problem. I called and researched both the NOVO 1 (877-810-7173) and Nova 1(214-904-9600)companies. NOVO 1 said they were a  telephone answering service and is in no way associated with Verizon Nova1 is a Interent provider and they too told me they are no way asssociated with Verizon....so I don't know what you mean by your reply Glenn or where you got your information. They may be ligitamate companies for their services they provide but both of them denied having any association with Verizon. So obviously the telemarketing firm (800-263-8015) must be using the name Novo 1 or whatever they are saying on their recording making people believe they are legitamite. Verizon has an email to report abuse which is abuse@verizon.net. Although my situation was resolved I feel an obligation to report this and also add my comments here to help other people from becoming victims. It also makes Verizon look bad which is also unfair since the telemarketers lie about being with Verizon.
Hope this helps anyone else who has fallen prey to this SCAM.

Don't know if you will get this reply but in reading the other responses I feel that this is also a scam. If the company was legitamite why wouldn't they supply us with a valid call back/contact number. I appreciate the infomation you provided ...I asm hoping it will help me track down someone who can help me with the services/pricing they promised and didn't delivery...if by chance you know of a valid phone number I would love to have it so I can contact them. Thank you for taking the time to supply the info on NOVO 1.

Had several calls from Tai Calloway with Verizon (so she says!).  Gave call back number as 800-263-8015.  When I called it, first time had to leave a message and she returned call.  Next time I tried, got something called THE PHONEBOOK.  Next attempt, said it was NOVA 1, a vendor for Verizon.  I then called Verizon personally to speak about this and they said that no one from Verizon will ever call you about changing your service.  This Tai Calloway was very professional, not beligerant when I asked questions, and seemed totally legit.  However, Verizon says no one is authorized to call you like that.  I believe this is a SCAM and I do not wish to receive any further calls from this company.  By the way, I did not give any information, they had everything already!  The actual verizon person I spoke with said that no one had accessed my account for info since I called them in November 2008.  How did Tai get that info?

Had a call from one Debin Robertson. She played the confidence building game so well. Even gave me 800-263-8015 to call back if I have any issues with my "new service." Next day someone called back claiming she wants authority to combine my bills into one- rep forgot to ask for rights she said???

Do not be fooled.Call Verizon FIRST before switching your accounts away.

Got Four separate calls today from the number 800 263-8015.  Telling me that they could reduce my business line number to $7/month.  Then they wanted all the rest of our numbers in the office and at home.  When I told them we had no other numbers they hung up on me.  We called back and got an answer machine that stated they were an authorized Verizon vendor.

Bunch of bull.  Whatever you do, do not say the word "Yes" during your conversation.  Better yet, do not say anything.

Received several calls from Naquan Glen (or Glenn) offering to reduce our phone bills.  When I asked if she was with Verizon she yes "Yes it's still Verizon" (and I of course noticed that she did NOT say SHE was with Verizon, but rather worded it in such a way to try and fool me into believing she was).  The call back number she gave me was 800-263-8015.

Caller named Cynthia Wallace. Claimed to be calling from Verizon about our bill. Returned call and got message all csr's busy. She called back. Had information about our account/billing. Rambled and rambled. Sounded unprofessional, confused and distracted like she was trying to look up something or listen to someone else. Got suspicious and hung up. Didn't sign up for anything.
