I agree with Gary P. Call the credit card company (BOA, Citibank, TD etc.) directly and talk with one of their representatives. While it is true that credit card companies often sell their debt (mostly for pennies on the dollar), it is almost always true that the debtor is not notified of such a sale before (and even long after) it takes place. As far as you should be concerned, if Comapny A sells to Company B, company B should not be allowed to change the terms, and Company A should notify the debtor, and Company B should send notification that they now own the debt. I get the feeling that FTC not only stands for Federal Trade Commission, it also stand for #$%^ THE CONSUMER.

I received a call 8668001090 earlier today. The message left was very staticy and indistinguishable. All I could get was to call 8002646448.

The calls supposedly come from Bank of America, looking for someone who does not even live here. Every time they call it seems to be from a different number. I filed a report with the FCC, for what that is worth.

They are NOT bank of America.  They are a third party trying to help you consolidate debt.  You don't need them.  Call Bank of America DIRECTLY to work out any problems you have.

They will help you with making payments to Bank of America Credit Card Services.  They set up a monthly amount for folks to help settle the balances owed on the card(s).  Persistant callers but are helpful in setting up a payment arrangement and are very flexible.

Calls re: credit card account.  Have indicated that due to current business problems, unable to make card payments.  Numerous and repeated calls on multiple phone numbers. Calls and e-mails to my wife's job, trying to make her to commit to making payments on my account. Very harassing to my wife.

I recieved a call from this number saying that the call was in regards to my father and his account. They also stated that it was a time sensitive issue and that I get back to them asap. When I called them back they started to ask for account information to verify my identity, when in fact their identity is the one in question. My father did not even have a type of account that was in question.

I received a call from 8002646448, looking for someone who doesnt even live in the resident, I told them that there is noone living here, then they started to ask for someone else in a different name trying to gather up information. When I was about to hang up on them, they told me it was very important and need to get in contact with them right away. how did these people get a job of harassing the wrong people, looks like they just hire anyone to fill in the position to be an annoying pest in everyones day.
