I have had this number (800-267-9209) call every 15 minutes since december 26th starting at 8am and going until 8pm. It is always a recorded message. I Have tried several times to call back and I get a reording telling me to please hold my call is important to them and the next available agent will be right with me. I am on hold from 2-5 minutes before the recorded message tells me to leave a msg. then it says that the mailbox is full and hangs up on me. THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Company calls and doesnt idenifys who they are and doesnt show on caller Id other than Toll Free Call.  this number is Nationwide Collections for many credit card/s Companies.  I called Nationwide Collections @ 602-379-2260 and they couldnt find anything under my name.

1-800-267-9209 keeps calling the house i babysit for and he keeps looking for some Mark Mendelo. There has never been a Mark Mendelo in this house?? its weird! and scary.

I get calls from ths number, they never say anything on the voice mail and call at least 4 times a day

Called my employer that I only work for occasionally.  How do they get these numbers?  He said any more calls, and he won't need me anymore.  Now I can lose my job because this blood suckers call my part-time job. Why don't they put a letter in the mail?  My phone is for my personal use only.  It is unlisted.

Here is there info for Atlanta.  Fax or mail Cease and Desist and keep track of how many times they call.  It is a $1000 fine for every call once they recieve your letter.

they called me from the following numbers 126-1150 WTF? No area code. But I found out the area code is 770-126-1150.

I don't want to waste my time and minutes and battery on a number I don't know who it is and they never leave a message

These people calls everyday from 800-230-9596. They are some very rude people. They call you names and I donot appreciate this. This number is about a bill that I owe Lowe's. This is not AMEX calling, because I have an account with AMEX and they will call and talk to you and they also will work with you. This Nationwide Credit from
Georgia. They are the worst people you can deal with. All this collector have done is checked to see who have outstanding bills and taking it upon themselves to try and collect for these companies. I have found that sometime it is best to let the company take you to court and then they don't get the fees that they have charged you. I found out that some of the companies want you to settle with them but that is not a good things sometimes. I found that I owe the bills I am sending it directly to them until it is paid out. I also found out that the companies have written these debts off and they got a tax deduction and still trying to get the money you owe and the fees.

They called my husband(dh)'s cell 5 times this AM, my cell 3x, his work & finally MY work... looking for us.  they didn't leave messages on our cells... but once they got me @ work, they asked for "DH"... then when I said "he doesn't work here"... he asked FOR MY BOSS!  I said, "No... what is this regarding?"  He asked for the manager that was here SEVEN YEARS AGO.

So, I said 'This is DH's wife... Tell me why you're calling him at my work..." then he explained they were the legal reps from American Express trying to collect his balance due - in full - or we were going to go into court proceedings...

FREAKED ME OUT.  

So, I went on to call (melt-down) on my parents, borrowed the balance due... went to call him back & got the voice-mail message for some "extension"... NOT the caller's extension that I spoke with earlier... RED FLAGS, anyone?!

So, I called American Express (they wouldn't talk to me because I'm not on the account)... But I went online to DH's AmEx account and it is open, active... I am able to make a payment... So, I plan on making a payment via the American Express site - to ensure it is legit... (or via phone with a rep & DH present)...

If they ARE a collections agency... they talked to me about WAY too much of DH's business!

The message left twice was from "Ray" at ext. 2104.  He is calling my brother who lives on the West Coast to find my ex-husband!  This is not ok.

I get several calls a day 7 days a week from Michelle Simpson as well.  The call back number is always 8002679209.  I think its a recording as it has the pause, never says who they are seeking or why and that it is not a solicitation.  I just acquired my phone number so it must be from the previous owner of the number.  Can't get a human when I call back either.

Somebody, named Michelle Simpson, called this morning, Sunday, June 1, 2008 and left a different call back number. The female voice says "...this is not a solicitation."

I didn't bother rushing to the phone to return the call, especially, when I didn't recognize the number or the caller.

Nationwide does not appear to have a problem in growth and expansion, however they do have a problem being able to deal with the accounts they have. Failure to provide documentation on both FDCPA and FCRA disputes. Too many employees that are lacking in FDCPA knowledge add up to a failing grade for this agency.

Who has the address for Nationwide? I have been trying, I either get voice mail or a full voice mail. Trying to claim Discover, and they have contacted, are very evasive, and won't give it up!!!

What I did by accident about 2 months ago was downloaded a silent answer tone
Remembering that and not deleting it was the best thing I ever did
Why?
I created a group which is to assign to a number this answer tone
and then I set up this number to ring without sound on my phone

So when it  called next it showed up in my list as  calls that came in
but
since this is likely computer generated I think ... the computer hears/heard nothing and I no longer get voice mail from this number
I never had caller ID on my landline and was always getting phone calls
one year a school in the area kept calling trying to reach a parent....she had the phone number before us....and then when i went to sears to pick up something i had phone ordered i got home with her sears order not mine

I'm telling you, these are loosers.  They are people that are not educated enough to get a good job so they have to work at collection agencies.  How sad that they don't have the ambition to go on with their life and pursue worthwhile careers.

I received a call from this number on behalf of a client of mine. The caller said she was calling on behalf of Discover Card. I am a bankruptcy lawyer and to ensure that all creditors receive notice, I send notices not only to the creditor but to the collection agency as well. When I asked the caller for her company's address, she hung up on me!

This is a collection agency.  My ex can't pay his American Express Card so they keep bothering me to pay it.  I think not.

Do you have debt? I think it is a debt collector's number. They left a message on my machine for my ex-boyfriend and he has debt that has went to collections.

Who are they asking for?

This company has called my cell a few times...I don't answer because I don't want to waste my minutes and I don't know who they are. When I called the number back, you get a message stating that you have reached "Nationwide Credit's Legal Forwarding Department???" and to reference some code number. When they leave a message, it's automated and the person they say they are trying to reach is not me so I didn't bother going forward through the call. They call about 1-2 times a week.
