Caller left a message that said, "My name is Jacob Weinstein and I need you to call me at 1-800-270-2409 it is important that we talk. Again, I am Jacob Weinstein please call me at 1-800-270-2409. Thank you."

keep receiving phone calls from this number stating they are going to file a court claim on me. who are these people?

Michael Cunningham of Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC, a debt collection agency, Caller ID# 1-800-608-5423, (attempting to harass me at my place of employment, apparently in order to skip trace a third party whom he incorrectly may believe that I know the whereabouts of), left a recorded message on the voice mail server of an Intensive Care Unit of a major hospital on Friday, 5/9/2008 stating that it was an "URGENT" call from Michael Cunningham of Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC, 5440 N Cumberland Ave, Suite 300, Chicago, IL 60656-1490, phone 800-663-4707, FAX 773-380-8802.  If you have been harassed by Michael Cunningham of Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC, feel free to e-mail me at cohenlevine-harassed@yahoo.com and I may be able to refer you to a highly effective consumer protection attorney I know of, who is expertly trained in these matters.

They call several times a day and hang up. Don't know who they are looking for, but they are not here.  Apparently they're really bored AND stupid.

Received voice mail today, 1:36 PM EST. "This is Jacob Weinstein, it is important that we talk." Obviously a recorded message. I called the #, no answer. This phone number is a business number, has been for almost 10 years.

FTC regulates collection agencies, not the FCC.  And part of the regulations prohibit them from leaving info that implies debt on an answering machine or with a third party, thus the reason for vague voice mail messages.

We have been getting pre recorded messages from this company for the past few weeks and it is very frustating that they do not identify the company they are with or what the call is about.  We have filed a complaint with the FCC.

I do the same thing. The only voice mail they have left said it was from a Mr. Weinstein, "I have an important matter to discuss with you. This is NOT a sales call. You must call me back TODAY!"

I do the same thing that you do.  I just let my answering machine pick it up, but they do not leave a message.

getting calls from this number for over two years for people who USED to have my current phone number and are, apparently, deadbeats. I just let my answering machine pick it up anymmore, but it is annoying.

Well, they only called 1 time today.  Has anyone figured out who they are yet?

Well, they called 3 times today, which is better, but there was no message left today.

This is a collection agency of some sort, they have been after this woman and have called my number several times looking for her. The man who left the message announced himself as Rubin Schwartz and had a menacing tone to his voice. I had thought I had gotten them to stop since I hadn't gotten a call from them in over a year, but they called today... and I had to once again tell them that I have had this number for over 3 years that this woman did not live here and I did not know this woman. thay said they would take my number out of their database but we will see.

Caller says: "I have an important matter to discuss with you. This is NOT a sales call. You must call me back TODAY!"
