I am contacting the original creditor to let them know that I'm being harrassed by these people.

Rude woman named Michelle LaFontaine called regarding a debt that is over 20 years old...we  had gotten divorced and I agreed with the auto finance company to pay 50% of the outstanding $800 owed on the vehicle and they sent me a lien release and took off the note. My ex husband evidently did not do the same and has since passed away...so I get this call from the rude woman wanting to collect on a debt thst is over 20 years old!!!! They have got to be smoking crack!

I got a call from Michelle..she was very nice and being the reason calling was to update payments for paying off my CC that i could not pay for, actually forgot it and she understood. Very happy to have these CC in the works of being paid of and now i will use cash and debit from now on

You would think that they would tell you the description of the call instead of telling you if you dont call they will keep on calling

Yup, debt collector, they called my grandparents house during a funeral. Incredibly rude to my aunt when she said no one by that name lived there *since I never did* and she began rattling off information. Michelle... what a t**t. When my aunt told her the name she just rattled off was her father who was now dead and then threatened to sue her for harassment, MICHELLE started saying how rude my aunt was... cant believe these parasites...
How do I go about filing a complaint with the Federal Debt Fair Collection Administration????... didn't even know there was one!
I don't have a bankruptcy attorney since this is my only collection... and i don't have the money for one...

These parasites and vultures do anything possible to try and collect debts. I sent them a notice not to contact me however they chose to disregard the notice so I have filed a complaint with the Federal Debt Fair Collection Administration and also my bankruptcy attorney said he would sue them. Be sure to save all information from them and file a complaint with the Feds.

This company called and said her name was Angela from CPC, asking for Brandy ____ (same last name as me). When I told her she had the wrong #, she repeated my phone # and began giving names and birth dates of everyone with my same last name, then began telling me addresses she had on this lady named Brandy, including an address that I owned over 10 years ago. She called four times in the same hour. She told me she could only say she is with a financial service. She then asked me to ask my family to find out if they know her and left this number 1-800-275-0631 to have the lady call her. The caller ID showed the call was made from 952-259-2017.
