This is a collection Agency called Clovis and Roche' . They are hired by Yellow Book Inc. to go after unpaid debt.  for advertising. They use illegal threats and tactics to harass and get you to pay them. They will not accept monthly payments,  They threaten to sue you, freeze your assets, report you to the IRS , attach your wages ,clean out your bank accounts and everything else. I am reporting them to the fair debt collections agency.  I have offered to make monthly payments and they refuse to accept. Let it be known I was a customer of Yellow Book for 18 years, They use heavy handed sales tactics to get you to advertise,  knowing you are struggling financially, then when you cant pay they turn you over to Clovis and Roche' to bully you.  That company made thousands of dollars from me over the years. I will never use them again ,nor will I refer them. AT and Has been working with me and my debt to them is nearly paid . This Phone company is desperate. DO NOT advertise with them. They are ruthless !

I won't be calling their toll-free number at all.  The repeated calls I have been receiving, looking for this person who is unknown to me, may not have been originated by Clovis & Roche, but by another party.

Right at this point, I'm very confused.  I am also very angry that whomever is calling me trying to collect a debt owed by this unknown person won't accept the fact that I am not that person.

I only wish that the rep from Clovis & Roche who hung up on me hadn't done so, and maybe we'd all be happy and get it straightened out that the individual in question is not at my number, nor do I know that person.

I have been receiving repeated calls from these people for the past two months or so, sometimes several times a day.  These calls are intended for an individual I have never heard of before.  I do not know the individual they are looking for.  I have told this to the callers each and every time, and have also told them that the number they are calling is a business line which I've had for over four years.

They still persist in calling, with the calls becoming more frequent and coming at inconvenient times.  

I just received another call via my voicemail.  This time, they actually identified themselves (first time they did that) and left a number to call them back, with the name of the rep.  I called this person, began to once more explain that the person they are trying to reach is unknown to me and to please stop calling my number.

I didn't get very far.  The rep screamed at me, stating it was the first time ever that they've called, and then she hung up.

Kinda funny, actually. They are trying to collect on a YellowBook account (isn't that a phone directory?), yet can't come up with the responsible party's phone number.  I came up with the proper number in less than 1 minute through a Google search, yet they continue to call me.

I think I'm going to be calling their toll-free number a whole lot and asking for Jack Mehoff.  I will refuse to accept that Jack Mehoff isn't known at that number.  Might take me a hundred times or so before it sinks in.

This is a collection agency.  I have a bill I have been trying to dispute and it's gone into collection.  This number works with 337-381-0261.  They will say ANYTHING!  The 337 number is out of Lousiana and they tried to claim they were from the State of Florida Licensing Board!!!!

I'm getting a call about a yp add I placed as a package deal. They botched over half of it then told me I needed to pay random amounts for the part they actually got right.

I bought the package; like 8 listings at a SO CALLED discount; I would have never agreed nor do I think I did to individual portions billing if they screwed it up. One or two mistakes sure; but over half; and all the 1x2 or 2x2 (can't remember off the top my head) picture adds were wrong.

I feel like I'm in the right to not have to pay;

Can you tell me how this played out for you with dealing with these people?

They do exist, are properly licensed and your satellite pictures are clearly out dated as they are located in a brand new facility. This firm is fully and completely licensed, banded and accredited. As for the debt amount, volume clients sometimes have smaller balances that are worked more as a courtesy than for profit.

In essence, the reality is simple. In commercial debt recovery, collectors are legally allowed to use an alias due to potential threats of violence against them. Further more, when a company does not pay it's vendor, there is only one logical means of possible quick recovery or reconciliation, third party. What you do not realize is the amount of money that would be lost and the effect that would have on corporations if they did not recover those losses. If you think the job market is tough now, take away a companies viable means of resolving past due accounts and you might be surprised at the sudden rise in bankruptcies and increase of job losses as a result. There are firms that do operate properly but one might want to do their homework before they arbitrarily start bashing firms that actually operate professionally. It is the "bad business" business and it does get heated but there is a viable and necessary service being provided. Of course, I would imagine most people posting here have been contacted by an agency for non payment of a debt...people who live in glass houses should not throw stones"

Most likely a phishing scam. Called our business and threatened employees.

Received a call that went to voice mail.  Mr. Masterson gave name, case number, and 800-283-0909 X1450.  Looked up number and decided to not call since OWOA is a non-profit organization and has no debt nor has ever had any debt.  Thanks for the other posts.

I recieved a threatening call today as well, from an employee named Marcus. He was rude, discourteous impolite and unprofessional. We discussed a few things or at least tried to with him interrupting me constantly. I informed him I was not ilstening to his threats and in this case I was the one that was in the right. I had the proof and had been building a file for a number of months, I told him I was ready, prepared and more than willing to go to court. I have contacted my lawyer and we have decided to sue them as well as the client they are representing. I had told Marcus I would call him back this afternoon but he did not even give me that courteousy before he was calling and threating again. I know the laws here in SC and I informed him he had better not call me again wherein he speaks to someone else and it is best if everyone records their calls as well. They are willing to settle because as he informed me after I proved to him I was right that they wanted to avoid all legal avenues if possible. the only reason YB is using this company is because everyone knows that YB does not have the grounds to sue anyone, they are the ones that make the mistakes, refuse to correct them and then expect clients to pay anyway, hoping threats will at least get them some money. WELL not from this business owner,  Anyone dealing with this company should stand their ground if they are in the right even a little bit. good luck to everyone and Marcus I am looking forward to seeing you in court.

I got a call from the same number and was greeted by Ms. Bennet and a male counterpart,
doing the job I do I looked them up and was astonished to find a few things.
1: The amount of debt they are trying to collect falls UNDER the amount minimum there website declares.
2: current satallite imagery shows there address to be an EMPTY lot.
3: They do not follow the collecting laws from other states using the Louisiana state laws as the bible for there actions.

*NOTE satillite imagery is not always accurate at current there address is a vacant lot that in no way means that there property in not legitimate but due to the reactions of there employee I feel that this information is warranted and as to my knowledge true. I say protect yourselves from sharks.
