I got a notice from Citimortgage with that same phone # to call them about some missing tax info.

You can spoof any caller ID these days. Trust no incoming call. Trust no email. Trust no link to a web page (the text you see is not always where it takes you). Trust nothing that requires you to install software, etc. Those that do are called victims.

(800) 283-7918 is the CitiMortgage Customer Service number that can be found at the top of the first page you see after logging into your internet account.
You MUST log into your account to see it, it is NOT located at the top of the initial page (login page) when you go to CitiMortgage.com.

Beware, I called Citimortgage and they told me that it was not them calling. Make sure you only call Citimortgage's direct line and go through the normal prompts. This seems like a scheme to get identity information.

Citimorgage told me not to give them any information they are not associated with them. They told me to hang up if I answered and they were on the line. I called to see why they were calling me after seeing it was a post about collections dept. from citimortgage since i always over pay a little to pay down my mortgage principle. Citimortgage checked and NO-ONE from CitiMortgage called me!!! Beware. I saw a cached link and you will notice that the word citi is only in a / part of the html, the html belongs to someone other then citimortgage. Citimortgage told me they would never ask for ss number or loan numbers or personal information.....BEWARE!

It's CitiMortgage.
For me it was a simple pre-recorded message indicating that some funds were moved on my account (as I requested).

I called Citimortgage because I always overpay when I saw the postings after missing the call with no message. They said they have no record of their collections deparment trying to contact me....and they would see notes if it was them calling. hey also confirmed I was current and had funds applied toward the principle balance from overpaying. hey told me to not give any info to the caller, they are fraudulent calls and to hang up on them if I inadvertantly pick up when they call. I went on line and sure enough I had funds applied toward my principle. THEY ARE NOT FROM CITIMORTGAGE OR CITIBANK!!!!!

I received the phone call today after I start my forbearance with CitiMortgage. However, I did not have a chance to answer and there is no voice mail.

Said they were Citimortgage. Set me up for help with my mortgage at reduced rate. BUT, I think this is a fraud. It is too goo to be true. so, I'm researching their phone numbers and I arrived here. Smells like fish.

Says they are Citimortgage, but cant tell me anything without my SSN, account # etc. They called me, then they should know why and who I am. I'm not giving out any info.
