That number 800-284-3900 is HSN for sure!! Im glad I called I did in fact have someone trying to make purchases with my credit card information. I verified with my credit card company as well and in fact that was the case. Glad they called me to make me aware. So if you do receive a call better get on top of it especially now a days with people stealing credit card info.

Received numerous calls from this number even though I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER and have an unpublished number. Most recently, I received a call today, August 5, 2013, at 5:55 P.M. Caller I.D. stated "Unavailable". Caller hung up on my answering machine.

Got the same call, no Caller ID, just "Toll Free Caller". Wouldn't a huge company be sure to identify itself, seeing how their business relies on customer contact to get said customer's money? People don't answer unidentified calls these days.
I honestly think this could be a scam, DON'T GIVE OUT CREDIT INFO OVER THE PHONE!!! Only give it if you called THEM, and dialed the number from the TV screen for the item you're ordering. Don't call a number back and then disclose all your info. Of course you're entitled to a chargeback if something gets charged that you never ordered, but there's every possibility it's too late. Those thieves often sell your card number or wait for months before going on a shopping spree. And THEN selling it! And even if you were able to head it off, it's just the monumental HASSLE of tracking down every possible mistake or scam, that makes me shudder.
Just the same, i will call the official phone number for HSN, from the TV channel, and maybe they'll take the hint to ID their calls, for starters. I haven't ordered anything from them recently. . .

Curious about your being offered "additional free month of service".???
That sounds WRONG! HSN is free to use... You only pay for the products you purchase (or that's what I thought). I would urge you to look into what you're being charged for, and if it doesn't add up, talk to your bank/card service for a chargeback.
Oddly enough, I got a call from this same number; no identification, just "Toll Free Number" (oh, gee, thanks, I had no idea what '800' meant...). Keep in mind that Phone Spoofing is always a possibility these days. They make the caller ID appear to be from a known/trusted caller, literally changing phone number to appear different. This could be for any reason, from trying to get your credit card info ("HSN"), to someone local checking to see if anyone's home before coming over to burgle the house. It would really be nice if HSN would ID itself properly. And ya know what? I think they would.

It was HSN. I called them back and someone else has my # on their account. The agent could not do anything without "their" permission, so there is no way to get them to remove my number from their account!

I got all bent out of shape about their call, but I asked the wife and she apparently ordered something from them. They should have left us a voicemail, then I would have known what was up. Or they could have had the caller ID say HSN...but that would make too much sense.

"Dumb" phones let u add a number to a block list. You would think a smart phone would get with the program. A step backwards, again

HSN an order update, I think it is useful info
Blocking Numbers 2012-11-28 16:28:08 Unknown
I don't understand why I can't enter a number into my cellphone and BLOCK it.
I mean why can't i simply go into a Block Number thing, Enter a Phone Number and if that number calls my phone it is BLOCKED so it doesn't even ring at all.
Why can't we do this? You know the technology exist. It would be so simple to write a program that would allow the phone to recognize the incoming number and block it.

If it is HSN....they should identify their company on the Caller ID. There was no identification displayed.
Secondly; are you aware about HSN refusal to provide a itemized list of return and credit?
HSN also infomed me yesterday that the company will keep refunds on deposit and any money of mine will disappear after one year; unless spent for new goods. I asked if they return the unclaimed funds to my State Treasury. The agent replied NO. HSN keeps the funds and does not remit to any State Department of Revenue or Unclaimed Funds Division.
Please alert your State officials about HSN; they are acting in bad faith and taking advantage of the elderly and disabled. They should have no right to keep unclaimed funds.

This is in fact HSN Customer Service BUT my call was not related to a payment. It is their customer service line and they could be calling you for any reason. My call happened to be a courtesy call about an item I ordered that would be late in shipping due to Hurricane Sandy.

800notes is not the type of place that blocks calls, you will have to go through your carriers service for blocking nuisance calls etc: This site is for reporting the daily barrage of phone scams, collection, surveys for cruises, book clubs, Nigerian royalty looking for an American idiot to cash a money order, credit advisers whom want to lower your credit card interest rate and the worst; the predators looking to help you with your upside down mortgage so you do not lose your home!! I love this site, it's free of charge and the postings from the users makes it so easy it gather information in minutes on all your unknown and unanswered incoming calls. I will never pick up a call from a unknown number, NEVER!!!
Arleen 2012-06-06 17:19:26 Unknown
By the way, I have never, ever purchased anything thru HSN. I will place my CC on alert!

I got a recording stating that the item I had order on June 5th was not available until July 4th... if unable to fulfill my order my credit card would not be charged... duh!

I don't know who this is for sure. The caller said they were HSN, but I haven't bought anything there. It was not www.onlinereputationmanagement247.com who does online reputation protection for small businesses for less than a typical advertising promotion.

Yes, this is HSN, and it was a good thing I called back. I recently purchased a product from them which was on "flex pay." My credit card expiration was coming up and they just needed to update. I'm glad this site exists to confirm these sometimes unwelcome calls.

This is HSN Customer Service. The recording identified the company right away. (Maybe due to negative feedback from years past) In my case, I was glad they called because they had important reminder info about a phone purchase I made, and the steps to get my additional free month of service. It was very valuable!

11/28/11 at 11:23 AM they called today. I answered to have my number removed. Nobody on the line. I held, and it started ringing and ringing. Nobody answered. Nice to know it was HSN, and yes, they should identify their company. "800 Service" tells us nothing.
Catherine Harrison 2011-11-07 20:31:19 Unknown
Please block this number from my phone.

Saw it was HSN thanks to another reverse phone website and answered.
It was indeed HSN. It was a machine calling to let me know that my recent order was not able to go through. I'm the one who canceled the order, but I guess these calls go out either way.

Why don't they leave a message?! That is crazy!!
jojidu 2011-06-06 20:57:28 Unknown
It's HSN, they left a message because have a payment due on flex pay/easy pay (one's QVC, one's HSN) and my credit card is maxed out.

Caller is HSN or the Home Shopping Network (from the tv).
Left message to call them in 48 hours or they'd cancel my recent order. Called back. They have a verification process for people if phone # and shipping/billing don't match. Kind of a pain, but saves people from getting scammed.
IMPORTANT:
If they call you, but you DID NOT ORDER, call them back. Someone else might have ordered using your info. This is absolutely legit. I ordered a couple of nights ago for the 1st time.
Don't dismiss the call.
I just happened to be using 800notes to look up and leave details about a questionable # that called me yesterday, so I looked up the 800 # as it was on my caller ID. It's definitely HSN.
Call type is not unknown. It's a customer service call, but that's not an option.
nacho 2010-11-17 17:15:39 Unknown
Its HSN customer service - why does everyone panick nowadays.
Kattat 2010-09-27 18:48:05 Unknown
Who is this?
Kat 2010-08-06 15:42:30 Unknown
I got a call today from HSN too (1-800-284-3900). They said that they were calling confirming an order... I've NEVER heard of this company before, nor have I ever ordered anything from them. Thing is--- I haven't given out my cell number to ANYONE except my friends...
Marianne Upson 2010-05-18 20:09:02 Unknown
It is definitely HSN customer service. They call only rarely. It is usually a computer call to say they received a return, event reminder, or some other simple thing.
Jo 2009-08-06 00:45:53 Unknown
We got a call from this number today. If this is HSN, we haven't ordered anything from them for at least a couple of years and we didn't have this phone number back then. Must be a wrong number.
