Was not familier with number 8002865805 ignored  deleted message.

This number sent a text message advertising some kind of game and requiring a text message to (a) play the game or (b) stop further messages. I did not respond and instead reported the text as spam to my cell provider (AT&T), to the FTC (Do Not Call Registry) and to the FCC as another recipient suggested. I recommend taking all these actions. For those with AT&T cell phones, spam texts can be reported by forwarding the SMS text message to 7726. The system will respond with a request to confirm by replying with a text of the sender's phone number (which will be in the spam text). Reply with the number and the system confirms receipt of the report.

I received a call from 800-286-5805. I returned the call on a land line and I won 1,000 songs from some music company, they want me to down load now!  No thanks.

Received exact same text message. Filed complaint on www.donotcall.gov

I received the same message was very concerned about calling/texting back, which I did not.  I am so glad I entered the 800 number in Google search!  How do you report this??

Looks like it's taxact alright.    I created an account there too w/ this particular cell phone number and I recieved the same You won 957 billion free songs. that's the only place i've signed up with this number.     Ok, so maybe the number is an exxaggeration, but I did recieve the music prize text everyone is mentioning above.  

I'm sure they're going to want to know all my info and banking info so they can sell it some some kids on the internet, so they can buy an XBOX360 with my card number.    Maybe they're legit, who knows.    Just doesn't seem like a legit way to do business though.

I did nothing and will not unless they text again.  This just looks and smells like a scam and now that i read all of your posts i can rest assured that it most certainly is.  I hate these predators!!  Why don't they get a real job and be productive member of society instead of a festering zit on the a** of humanity!!

Unwanted text message claiming it is an "Official Reward Notice"

I am very leery when it comes to texting back.... I don't know "them" so why should I trust them?

I've already placed all my phones both cell and land, on the "do not call" list (which is kind of a joke since my land line still gets many unwanted calls)

I believed (silly me) that cell phones were not going to have the same issues.....

Is there a "Do Not Text" list I am going to have to join?????

Don't want this kind of messages.

I also received a txt msg from 58909 last night with the following

Official Reward Notice: Call 800-286-5805 Now for Important Claim Information! Keep R&R txt act active.txt stop 2 end

I also called the number from a land line, after a few seconds, automated system said I'd won 1000 songs and transferring me to what sounded like (Sun Land) but I couldn't understand the lady that answered very well. She wanted to get my Visa # and charge $20 to it. I politely told her they won't be sending anymore messages because I am reporting them, which I did.

Claims I won prize and when I called there was no prize ! false advertisement

I just got this text today. I just texted back stop and it said  ' you will receive no further messages ' whatever as long as that works.

I have never contacted this company before, and they are sending out text messages.

Received a call from 18002865805.  Claiming I won a reward.

Go to the FCC website and file a complaint. All of you have been posting within the last 24 hours. The gov't cant catch & prosecute this person/company if you don't file with the FCC.

Click on wireless then on the first option (telemarketing). You will get a response from the FCC in a week or two.

Remember to txt stop back to the number to be removed from their mailing list

I too received this text.  It's bad enough my email account is full of spam, but now my phone??  Urgh!!  Although I had no intentions of calling, I do appreciate this website and all of the information it provides.  Keep up the good work!!
