Someone left this number on my cell with no other info.

Said to call back on personal business matter.  When I called back I was put on hold for a long time

I got a phone call from same # but am not going to call back. Did not identify themselves nor did they mention my name.

It is Credit Management Services

This number again called today, my husband's cell phone.1-800-291-5892 about a "personal business matter"> Has called 3 times now on cell phone the last two day. Did not mention our name. Needs to stop.

This individual just called me and his stupid ghetto *ss could not even complete a sentance- It sounds like a scam

Perhaps we should all start returning harassing calls back to them?  Perhaps they will get the idea.  They have been asked not to call our business and they won't stop.

-uh, we do.  This is a scam.  The real debt I have is a large student loan, which I have never defaulted on.  (I also have some occasional off the books debts with friends and such, but those are paid quickly enough, and would not be sent to a collection agency.  

Has anyone called the number back?  I am not willing to do so with my cell, as they might high-jack my number.

Hey!  That's not fair to say.  I don't owe anyone anything.  I just recently change cell phone carriers and they keep calling me several times a day.  I tell them this phone number is relatively new and to please stop calling and remove it from their system, but they don't.  It's highly annoying.

Got a call from (866)307-0544, when I asked them if they wanted to leave a message, the guy said his name was steven/stephen and it was regarding a business manner, yet he said to call him back at (800)291-5892.

Said to call 800-291-5892 about a business matter.  Gave no other info.

These stupid people should go out and get a real job and stop calling people to collect some debt
that you do not owe.  Hard working people do not have the time to sit down and write a letter to
these idiots disputing some debt that you do not owe.  Debt collectors get a life. You can hire a
lawyer to get them stopped and maybe I will.

I receive calls from this number several times a day.  They're calling my employer.  Every time I answer they hang up.  I just happen to pick up on the call and the recording had a Latino name in the recording.  When the CSR came on, I asked her why is she constantly calling this number, bothering me at work, taking me from my duties for what?  I told her that this was a business and not a person residence.  She said that was the only way she could get me to answer the phone.

I blasted her big time.  I told her to take her games elsewhere and never call this number again and she said, well, you don't respond to our mail.  I said I don't respond to crooks who use one name on their correspondence and another name in their harassing phone calls.  She got quiet and told me, someone is going to pay this bill and I gave her three options.  Two I can discuss.

1) either she pays whatever bill she is calling about

2) Or she can get out and dance/strip for it.

3) The third option, you need a note from your parents  :-)

these people call my parents' house 10 times a day and today the phone rang and i decided to pick it up so maybe i can try to get these people to stop calling our house. i talked to the lady and they wanted my dad so i told him he wasnt home that he was running some errands. i asked her to what was this call pertaining to? she told me she wouldn't discuss it unless i was my dad or my mom. she asked if i was his spouse and i said i was his daughter. she told me that she wouldn't talk to me about anything and would i write a number down for him to call her back and i flat out told her no. if she wasnt going to discuss something that involves my family then im not doing her any favors. she was so completly rude and said well i will just write this down as refusal to pay. i asked her refusal to pay what? dont write down anything unless u know what u r talking about. i then said i dnt have to take ur number down because u call our house 10 times a day and i have a caller id so what is the point? she said well if we call so much then why don't u pick up the phone?! i said maybe cuz we have a life and have other things to do than answer a phone call from a very rude person as urself.  i hung up on her. then i googled the number and got this site and read some of the comments and decided to call back pretending to be my mom and i asked her what she wanted. she told me that my dad ordered some coins a year ago and never pay for them, but then she changed her story from coins to pens. she said he owed almost 200$ for somethin he never bought. she then brought up the subject about how the real me called 30 minutes earlier and threatened me that if i was scamming her i was breaking the law and i could get sued. i was like ma'am you have no proof that i'm lying to you, you can't find out, your in arizona and im in texas. she yelled at me saying if i didnt bring my dad to the phone they would have to take drastic measures and take care of it from there so i reminded her he was out running errands. she got irritated and said well he needs to call us himself and pay us the money he owes.

They called me on my office phone. The message said for me to hold for the next representative. I waited about 5 min then the message said "all of our reps are busy, please cal us back at 18002915892". I did and they said the mailbox was full. WTF?

I want these calls stopped from 1-800-291-5892.  They don't say who they are.

Its a bill collector. I get calls several times a day from these people about my credit card. God forbid the credit card company just calls me.

Many, many calls with hangups and no message. And, sometimes very early before 9AM which is against the law in my state. I assume it's a debt collector from all the other input I see here. It can only be two things.

A doctor from the ER who refused to accept medicade. As I had to go to the ER while I was waiting for my disability hearing which took two years to win btw. So it is retroactive back to when I first applied. Every other medical bill has been paid this way. So he will either accept what medicade gives him or get nothing. I'm not giving him a dime.

Or, it could be from a reposessed car from over 3  years ago. If so then  they can forget it as well. They came and took the car, would not let me work it out to catch up the payments, and wanted the whole loan paid off instead right then. Well, they got the car and that's all they are ever getting from me.

So either way, these people are just wasting their time for I will give them nothing and my phone ringer gets turned off at night. Plus, I screen all the calls through the answer machine.

Keep in mind if you have any monies owed to anyone anywhere there are "recovery" collectors who will buy these charged off, dead, lost and other types of  accounts for literally pennies on the dollar.

They will do call you at home, work and often times 24/7 as a scare tactic...

Collections groups will usually buy these debts, like what the banks and mortgage companies do on sub prime mortgages, are second and third account holders. The money owed is not owed to the collectors but to whoever owns the original debt and service provider, that is who the contract for service is with not a collection group.

Tell then you want and itemized bill with service dates, services provided, were performed and who the service provider / company is, if medical an itemized pharmacy bill with dates, drug names, doses, etc.
Then once you hvae established who and what the debt is. Tell the collectors that you are not required to deal with bill collection contractors, recovery groups or anyone other than the original service provider.

This person was very nasty and seemed intent on squeezing blood from a turnip. How do I stop them from calling me again?

Receive calls daily from this number at work and on cell.  Spoke to a man once at work - the others would not give me information other than they were Transworld Systems and that they were trying to collect a debt from me for a medical bill from my kid over a year ago.  This is for my child born 2/6/2008 - funny since I don't have a child born in this decade!!

I received a call from 18002915892.  They informed me they were Transworld Systems and that they were trying to collect a debt from me for a medical bill from my kids 2 years ago.  I grilled them with questions of who made the claim, when was the time of service, who does it pertain to...etc.  Well they had both my kids' names and said it was for their medical services on this date..blah blah.  So I thought well, it could be.  I gave them my debit number and they said it would be taken out on the 30th of the month.  Well, the 30th came...nothing came out of my account. So I really didn't think too much of it.  Well its now the 7th of July and I got a call from them today saying that for some reason their company didn't take out the whole amount and I still have an outstanding balance (which was half of the previous balance given to me before).  I told them that it was kind of strange how I could only owe half the amount now since nothing was taken out of my account before.  Well he then tells me that he now needs my bank account number and my routing number.  I told him that I would give him my debit card number again and he stated to me that they would charge me a huge fee and I had to use a check this time.  I told this man NO and for him to give me his number.  He did and I typed it in google and I end up on this site.  Sounds to me like this is some shady stuff.  I am grateful nothing came out of my account the first go round...obviously my card had too many security measures on it or maybe they lost it.  Doesn't matter.  Bottom line...check these people out before you give them any financial information.  I just don't trust them.
