Got a recording when I answered and had to wait for a live person. It was a Miami area number they wanted me to call. I would not identify myself and I did not agree to pass on any message as they would not identify themselves or the purpose of the call. I will register the call on the DoNotCall.gov site.

It seems to me that I've already reported this number, but I can't find my post anywhere so maybe not. Anyway, when I saw the 800 number on my cell phone just now (I pay for ALL calls, be they 800 or not) I elected not to answer. Based on my reading of the previous posts, it seems that was a good idea. They did not leave a (voicemail) message.

I *thought* I had reported this number already. What I got on voicemail today at ~1pm was my name (huh?) and a sigh. That's it.
Based on reading the above posts, I'm guessing they "bought" a debt from a Florida hospital I won't pay as long as the hospital refuses to send me an itemized bill. I'm not in Florida. Had an accident while visiting.

I had the same thing happen to me. I gave birth and instead of sending me a bill for the copay they sent it to a collection agency. The collection agency wanted a copy of my insurance card because "the insurance company denied coverage". I no longer had the valid card since I had already received my new one for the year. They refused to cooperate so I stopped answering the calls. My son will turn 3 in Dec. and I'm JUST getting a statement from the actual hospital for the copay....these collection agencies are so sketchy.

They called again today. Having read all this yesterday, I elected not to answer when I saw the number today. As far as I know they didn't leave a message on my voice mail today.

Based on all these posts it looks like it was a good thing I was out (and didn't bring my cell phone) when they called. When I came back in there was a message on my voice mail, but it was silent except for a beep right at the beginning. I know the number because my cell phone tells me about the telephone numbers of missed calls when a message was left. It seems I do owe some money to a hospital, but in Dade county, not Broward. My phone number is on the do-not-call list and I do not live in Florida.

I received this call today, July 31, 2013. Normally, I do not answer 1-800 calls so they may have called before. However, changing to AT&T UVerse, my privacy director was not a part of the plan. Now I get these calls even though I am on the "Do not call list!"
The initial caller told me to wait for a service collection rep. Mind you, I pay my bills on time.

WE HAVE ASKED / DEMANDED THIS COMPANY TO STOP CALLING AND HARASSING US . THEY CALL AT ALL HOURS AND ARE VERY RUDE AND TRY TO BE INTIMIDATING . WHEN WE TRY AND DEFEND OUR RIGHTS THEY HANG UP . Letter c in the number so you cannot file complaint without all digits. Recieved 5 or so calls till I fugured out how to block incoming calls with this auto-reply text:
"You appear to be a spammy, robo-caller. The telephone number you have been attempting to reach is a member of the International Do Not Call Registry which enforces the right to privacy from soliciters. If this is not the case, kindly identify yourself in order for recipient to unblock your number and allow your call through."
The calls have stopped.
