They call here everyday about a debt that was taken care of and paid off over 2 yrs ago. Spoke to them once to explain that and now I no longer answer when they call. But they keep calling anyway.

I think they are so stupid as to buy old debt from unscrupulous debt collectors/corrupt people like themselves.

The debt they bought (for pennies on the dollar) was taken care of, but they were too stupid to realize they were being scammed and bought old debt they can't collect on because it's either been paid-in-full or past the Statute Of Limitations.

I keep getting a call from this number, they said they are NCO and request my personal information to talk with me.  When I tell them that I will not answer any questions concerning my personal information they say they can not discuss the account.  Well I do not owe anyone any money so I don't know why they are calling and if they already have my personal information why don't they tell me what they have and let me confirm it instead of the other way around.  Sounds like a scam to get my personal information.

Hey troll, you need to be able to read before posting messages on a forum such as this.  Did they even indicate they owed a bill?  Are things so bad you can't even afford a functional keyboard that doesn't have a broken CAPS LOCK KEY

Now please take your illiterate self-back to the boiler room

Even if you do own $$$$ these aren't the people you would want to pay because once you get involved with crooks they steal your personal information. They call people randomly by purchasing phone numbers hoping for a 'hit.'

When they call here they ask for my husband and say he has an outstanding debt but no details. He died 6 years ago and was debt-free.

They are scammers who purchased numbers from other debt collectors and other sources.

Tens of millions of people all over the country get daily calls from these types of rackets. Don't talk to them.

Blow a loud whistle into the phone.

I got a call from this people. First the guy was asking for my daughters DOB, which obviously I refused, I'm not giving any I formation to ANYBODY... I don't care who they are. I was polite and even explained that our account was compromised recently with the recent Target stores hacking problem. And he kept insisting. I refused and he threatened me saying that they are going to continue with the tramits ... Like if they were going to sue me or take another action (I still don't know what is this about). I called back to talk to a supervisor and the same guy answered (what a big and "real" company) he even recognize me and call me by my name. I asked him to transfer me to his supervisor, which took him a lot of time... They are obviously scammers since they don't want to give any information but to get info from you. Beware with this ones. They are aggressive too...

These calls are from NCO Financial.  Typically they are a legitimate debt collector.  They purchase debts so they never threaten court action, and usually their people are nice enough to work with.

They're actually a collection agency NCO financial. In my case for a hospital past due bill. However the way they approach you and ask you to verify your personal info without them verifying who they are is SO unprofessional. They need to work on their skills or they won't get no money from no one.

They call every single day, several times.

The message says, "This is an attempt to collect a debt, we need to speak to so-and-so" ..... who by the way so-and-so is for my mom who doesn't even live here with me and who certainly does not owe any debt.

I personally think they are probably located and operating somewhere outside of the country, trying to get information (SS# and DOB) to use for identity-theft purposes under the guise of a legitimate debt-collection agency who pretends they can't reach the party that owes the debt.

My mom (and dad ) do not owe anyone. They have no debt. Do they honestly think I don' t converse with my mom and will give them the confidential information they want?

We think these annoyingly crazy people are trying to scare me into giving them confidential information.

If they really are located and operating outside of the U.S. (and I believe they are) then U.S. authorities have no jurisdiction ....... which is why they are not  "conducting business"  in the U.S.A.  --- My 2 cents.

This number calls me at least once or twice a day. I put call blocker on it so it goes directly to voicemail. The message they leave is always the same except for when it goes to  hold & a guy says hello 3x before hanging  up. The message is always saying "this is an important message from NCO FINANCIAL. The law requires that I notify you that this is an attempt to collect a debt & any information attained will be used to collect a debt. Please call Janette Gonzalez at 1800-black blah blah. This is an attempt to collect a debt." The one time I answered the call, the guy wouldn't identify himself or the company unless I gave my e.g.B.C. & social. I barely give that info to government officials, so I damn sure ain't telling a scam artist.

Call from so-called NCO Financial today. Same as many entries above. Clearly a scam. Wants birth date before he'll say what he's calling about. Supposed to be an attempt to collect a debt. Needs to be reported to all possible authorities. Am doing so and hope others will as well.

When I answered my phone, the lady who was on the line said, please wait while I get the account manager. She put me on hold for a few seconds and a gentleman came on the line who did not identify what company he was with. He asked me for my birthdate. I said, "Who is this?" He said, "Before I can answer that I need your birthdate." I then said, "What company are you with and what is this about?"

He did not answer me but said instead, "Whenever I get an attitude like yours, you know what it's about."

I replied, "I don't know what it's about," and hung up.

No way am I giving personal information to someone who won't tell me what company they're with or what the call is about!

When this number called me the operator asked me to hold while she transfers me to an associate.  I tried to ask her what the call was in regards to and she told me her associate would know more.  After being put on hold a man tried to ask me to verify my date of birth.  I asked again what this is in reference to.  He told me they were NCO Financial Services, an outsourcing company, and he needed to verify my date of birth and the last four digits of my social because they were to discuss financial information.  He then attempted to ask me for my information again; I told him no because I don't trust you.  Then he hung up.

They call, give their name, in this case Jeanette Gonzalez, and say the are from mumble company. It is an important business matter for me...they did call me by name,...and in order to verify My identity for this matter they need the last 4 digits of my social. Oh right. Round robin ensues, and I won't give them anything except the sharp side of my tongue. She said they sent a letter but would not tell me what about. I finally told her to send it again, they were not to call me again, and USPS is the only way they are authorized to talk to me.

Called my phone today looking for a husband and wife... The guy asked me 7 times if I knew who the people were and no matter how many different ways I would tell him no... He kept insisting that I did... I asked to be removed from the list, hopefully this is the last time I'll hear from them.

Some information on OSI/NCO -- apparently this group feels perfectly comfortable breaking the law on a regular basis.   If they contact me again, I will be filing a complaint with the appropriate government agencies.

When I answered the phone I received a recording stating "your call is very important, someone will be with your shortly."  #1)They called my office, I didn't call them #2)When someone did come on the line, she asked for 'Mr Nathan', however, this is a company phone #3)The caller refused to give her or her company name.  I repeated that this is a company and requested that they remove this phone number. She said "Oh, ok" and hung up.

Your right not to give any info. They have been doing the same to me. They said my husband owed some money from a hospital. and that I had to make payment over the phone. I refused to give any info. I said we've never recieved a bill, and i wont do anything till we recieve one. They said that they would send a letter, and that it would be from Tiajana Mexico. But not to send it there but to a P.O. Box in Deleware. Highy suspicious.

We kept getting a call from this number, asking to send in money, the first time I asked for an account number and address as to where the payment would go. They were very insistant that I pay over the phone. I said that not intill i see an actual bill. Again i asked for the information and the lady said I'll get that in the mail. Anyhow, I recieved a call today, asking for money. I again told them once they send a bill. She said she sent one, and will send a letter out today again. She said the letter will be coming from Tiajana Mexico. I find that a little suspicous. I asked why and she said because the taxes were cheaper. She did give me a p.o box number. She said to send it to that and not to the Tiajana Mexico address.

"I'm sorry I was unable to reach you. Please return this important call, to 1-800-733-8782. Once again, that number is 1-800-733-8782. Thank you."

Without giving more info than that, how can I be sure that they are who the caller ID says they are? And I have no debts whatsoever, so I know they're not calling for me if it is truly the collection agency claimed.

I had them call me twice about someone named 'Edward' and I forget the surname. I called them back. asked to speak to a rep and they removed my number from their calling list. Easily fixed, you just have to wait on hold for a bit.

This number calls daily @ different hours. I refuse to give information to this non-American company. Their location gives me enough concern - Mexico!
They wouldn't answer questions when I called from a blocked number instead of number they were calling.
