It's not illegal for them to call on a Saturday. They can call any day of the year, just not before 8am or after 9pm.

800 service called awhile back but left no message. I don't know who they are or what they want. I don't care.

Saw this number on my caller ID. They didn't leave a message. Wrong number, I guess.

I thought so. This little exercise lets you know what you are dealing with if you respond to them.

They are little beady eyed critters who read from a script if you talk to them.

Just send them a certified letter telling them to not contact you any more. That's all it take, ... then if they continue harassing you can have a lawyer sue them and collect $1,000 and the legal fees for each violation.

These A$$WIPES are in a low rent strip plaza office in a low rent, blighted area of buffalo, NY. ... That speaks volumes when one considers there is no shortage of blighted areas in Buffalo.

In any event, they are real bottom feeders who throw high 5's all over the boiler room whenever they find a sucker to send them a few bucks.

Folks, the last thing you want to do is to pay these critters anything, because it will re-age your debt and keep it in your credit report longer.

It's run by some Buffalo guidos, and they were just booted out of more decent offices because of rent issues.

Repeatedly every month my husband and I receive phone calls from this number.  Now that this website has enabled us to see how is calling, I'm assuming the company is trying to collect debt from a previous owner.  At first there is silence but then someone comes on and says this call is for Robert Johnson.  This interrupts our day.  We've had this number for 3 years and nothing changes.  Obviously Robert Johnson must have had this phone number before it was given to us by the phone company.  What I can do about these continuing misguided pests.  They always say sorry, we'll take you off our list, but they don't!  Even if we ask the phone company, Brighthouse, to give us a new number, there is no guarantee that this new number won't be equally troublesome.  Isn't there a law to protect consumers from misuse of this phone number and prevents it from being sold to businesses.  I've reported it to the Do Not Call List.

Daily Calls but a recording. Irritating but now I know who they are, thanks to this site. Now I will shut them down from calling me.

I turned them into the FBI and the f****ng FBI says they are wanted in sebveral states for ilegal practices, so they have to kleep moving to evade the law.
They have been told NOT to call this number and have been told they will go to jail if they keep calling.
The next time they call, I am supposed to call the FBI back and have them on the line, so the call can be traced and someone arrested.
The supreme court, also, says they will owe me 1000.00 per phone call, if they persist, hands down, and they loose in court, every time. Since these idiots have called me almost every day this week and last, it seeme they owe me more than they would ever collect from some a***ole that owes them money. For that 12,000 dollars, I will surely take them to court and get a judgement against them, and now they become the hunted, instead of the hunters. I will assure these idiots of this: "If I ever get my hands on your neck, it will break into at least 2 pieces, and you will not  be making ay more phone calls to me or anyone else, you deadbeat jack*** pi****king a***ole. You had betetr watch for that baseball bat outdside your  home or office. YOU ARE TRACEABLE, AND WE WILL FIND YOU AND WE WILL THEN PROCEED TO HURT YOU, UNTIL YOUR HANDS ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO DO JACK S***, MUCH LESS DIAL A PHONE. YOU WILL BE LUCKY IF YOU EVEN HAVE FINGERS LEFT, FOR I WIL LREMOVE THEM FOR YOU, ONE AT A TIME, FINGERNAILS FIRST. THEN I WILL CUT YOU UP INTO LITTLE PIECES AND BURY YOU WHERE ONLY THE BEARS WILL FIND YOU. GOT FAMILY?, THEY DESERVE THE SAME THING, A***OLE.

I'm actually sitting here in shock - can't believe I got someone when I called back who was polite and listened...that's a frist. I did verify address and last 4 ss#, then I told her I had sent a letter in answer to their mail last month. She said they did not show it was received. I told her I could read to her exactly what I said.  She said ok and she would make note for the record.  I read my Cease and Desist letter and to my surprise she said she would now remove my address and phone number and send the paper work back to the company asking for collection. Too bad everyone in this company does not behave like this, so can't say this would be an experience others would get.  Maybe I was just lucky this one time.

For others in this position this is what my letter read:

This letter notifies you to cease communication with me about this claimed debt. This notification is pursuant to the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, 15U.S,C. Section 1692(c)(c), and does not admit to any debt regarding the above account.

You may write me only to inform me that you are terminating collection efforts or taking a specific remedy.

What I find so laughable is the message states  "...by continuing to listen, you acknowledge that you are so-and-so...".  What PURE BS!!  ANYONE can continue to listen, that would NEVER hold up in court.

What certifiable LOSERS!!  These low-lifes need to get a REAL job, one where their poor mothers don't hang their heads in shame every time their names are mentioned

I had been getting the same calls and since we're never home at the times they call, they keep leaving that automated msg that Annoyed referenced. I just called their number and they removed my number from their listing since they were looking for someone that I had no idea about. The guy was very cordial.

Does anyone know who these people are??? They are calling my mother at home looking for my bf's aunt! WTF? How'd they get her number?? Neither woman really knows each other & my Mom certainly isn't this woman's keeper. It's a recording every time. "If you are ____ please push [#], if you are not ____ please disconnect." She hangs up/disconnects every time.

I've been being called by this number looking for someone I'd heard of. It left message to call Capital Management at 800-297-9940. It said it was not a solicitation. I finally called, "Joe" asked for a ref. number. I didn't have one. He asked for the number I was calling from, I gave it to him. He asked if I knew the person he was looking for, I told him he didn't live here. He asked again, I said I'd heard of him. Then he said thanks and hung up. Rude! I called back because I didn't want to be disturbed by them anymore. The same guy answers, I told my number and that I'd just called and started to tell him I wanted to make sure didn't get called back, then he hung up again. I'm pissed!!!! I'm going to report them!
