Caller identified himself as from the Iowa Vietnam Veterans Association.

Called Vietnam Veterans of America Des Moines office and they say that is the group that is doing the phone solicitation for them. So that's legit - if you want to do phone contributions.

I received a call from this number and the man said that he was calling on behalf of the Disabled Veterans of Iowa.  He wanted me to verbally commit to making a contribution and I told him that I wouldn't.  He started his second pitch and I told him again that I wouldn't commit to anything.  Then he said, "Did you hear what I said" and I said no, he then responded with "You didn't hear because you were talking over me."  I told him that he was being rude, especially if he wanted money.  He said that I was being rude to him and that he was the disabled veteran.  He continued to tell me how rude I was being to him and reminding me that he was a veteran.  I asked for his name and he hung up on me.  The # is 800-301-9871.

Talk about rude - I'm not sure if it really is the VV of I and would never give money over the phone. I asked them to remove this number from our list... he hung up before I finished my sentence.  I now just answer the phone with - "Hello, Remove this number from your list please" - and hang up. This is getting so ridiculous and giving the Vietnam Vets a bad rap.

Called number on cell phone and got a recorded message thanking me for calling the Vietnam Vets of Iowa.

Answered to silence after three rings.I thanked them for calling and disrupting my day . Probably some politico's calling again .

They called to nite, no one there. Some talking in the background, but no body said anything. Hung up. Probably Wolpoff and Abramson checking to see if I'm at home before they start their arbitration game.

A man asked for me by name.  He said he was calling from Iowa Disabled Veterans.  I said I didn't do any contributions over the telehone.  He abrupty hung up on me.

I'm sure this is a telemarketer of some kind. They did'nt leave a message but they never do. Most of these calls are dialed by computer and multiple calls are dialed at once so the first real person to answer will get picked up. I am a little surprised the number is not blocked like most telemarketers are. It looks like a lot of people did'nt read the fine print on the DNC. If you are a customer of a company or you owe them money they can call you even if you are on the DNC. Also political organizations are exempt too.

Just received a call from this number. No response from the caller, but there did seem to be some noise in the background for a few seconds.

Could be those nasty bill collectors Wolpoff and Abramson. They been calling me, caller ID said Comcast Cable. I complained to the FCC and now this number is calling. No answer this time, no message on answering machine either.
