Do you realize this Susan woman could have got your information and is using it?
Just saying, you might want to do some digging. Go to the bank and demand the information and see if this woman is taking from you.
Terrible.

Why would you block them instead of working out a way to pay your debt with them. You are the reason the country is having such problems. You take from the bank then refuse to pay your debts back then you blame the banks.

Collection? So you owe debt but instead of taking responsibility when the bank is calling you, you pay money for a contraption to block your phone so the collectors can not get their money and you don't work with them.

At the very least call BofA and try to find out why you were contacted. The fastest way for the bank to contact you is through the phone when someone serious is going on. Like Identity theft. If you are not comfortable with their call, call the bank yourself or go in.

The bank is not going to show up on your phone as BANK OF AMERICA. They are too big, that's not possible.

Turning your back on collectors or your bank could hurt you in the end. Just becuase you didn't do something wrong with your money does not mean someone else didn't get in and do something like steal from you.

NOT ALL CALLS ARE SCAMMERS.

OMG this site is confusing.

Rich my message is to you. So sorry I said it wasn't becuase it showed up below someone yelling at you and I thought I had replied to them. So here... I am taking responsibility and fixing it.

Rich,
I too owe money to BofA and am working with them. I didn't recognize the number right away but your post reminded me. Thank you.

I don't understand why people in this country are being so ridiculous with their debt or bank accounts. The things I'm reading here are just plain crazy. One lady got a call from her bank and immediately blocked the number and ignored it. WTF?

1. If you have a bank account with a bank who is calling you, you might want to answer and get as much information as you can OR go into the bank and find out why you were called. What if someone has managed to get into your account and they are calling to let you know, or there is some other problem. When you find out, and things have gotten worse you are going to blame the bank!

2. Not all companies who represent banks are scammers. Your bank will in fact try to contact you. If you READ what their letters say it states the information they never request from you. Remember those things and pick up the call. Don't give your life away in information but ask them why they are calling. You just might owe money, someone else in your family or heaven forbid again, someone has gotten into your bank. How do you expect your bank to notify you of problems if you do not pick up?

People think banks are the problems in our country but people who turn their backs to their debts, block communication from their banks and blame everyone else instead of taking responsibility YOU are the problems or at the very least YOU are not helping.

Got a call from this number, which is apparently FIA Card Services.  However, if they want me to answer their call, they need to have a caller ID that actually identifies them.  I never pick up calls from "Unknown" because I get so many telemarketer calls.  Unknowns go straight to voicemail, assuming they leave one.

Should you not want the person you are calling to view your number through caller I.D., simply enter
*67and then dial the phone number as usual.  The person or company will not be able to identify the number you are calling.  Sweet privacy still exists.

Thank you, I just had a similar experience and said I wasn't giving them any information to "verify who I was"  because they called me.  She gave me a number to call back, because they do need to "speak to me about my relationship with Bank of America.  The number to call is 866-483-9912, and I tried to look up that number with no success, so I'm not calling!

These fools call me and want to talk about something important. Then they mentioned my wifes name and she has nothing to do with my bank. She has no card or anything much less the name on my card. That is not good and would report them to my bank. You should do the same.

This number called my cell last week... asked for a Susan Hines. I've had this number for two years and no Susan Hines has been at this number. I told the lady to remove my number. She was very cordial and said they would remove my number. She also apologized for calling. She did state it was an old account, so it could have been an old number for Susan Hines. Well, just a few minutes ago...at 8:29 PM.. I get a call from this number again, only it was a man asking for Susan Hines. I told him he had the wrong number. He apologized. He was polite as well. I know it usually takes 2 weeks to 30 days... so I'll see if they call again for Susan! I put my cell on the DNC List... if after 30 days after I put it on the DNC List, they call again, then I can report them.

SO.....BOA... I am NOT Susan Hines... and BOA is NOT my bank.

I am keeping a log of all calls that come in on my cell, date, time of call as well as my home phone. I found out I can block calls on my cell through Spint as well.. up to 50 numbers... have this one to add! I can only block up to 20 on my home phone :(

ONLY DEAL WITH THE ORIGINAL COMPANY EVEN IF THEY SOLD THE DEBT

WHY, BECAUSE IT IS THE LAW EVEN IF YOU OWE IT AND THEY SOLD IT YOU HAVE RIGHTS TO THE INFORMATION FROM THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR AS WELL AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM

GET A LIFE ALL OF YOU SCAMMERS TRYING TO COLLECT FOR YOUR OWN POCKETS

This is a legit debt collector.  They represent Bank of America in my case.  I owe them money.  I could not pay and got behind.  Now, I am catching up.   When they call, it is my responsiblity to take the call and communicate with the people who originally gave me credit!    People, communicate with those to whom you owe money.

Just called AGAIN and no message was left. From reading the previous descriptions, I can back up that they are SCAMMERS because I have never been a customer of Bank of America & therefore have no business to settle with them. DO NOT give your info out to these people!

Received call from this number at 5:20AM PST - This is the second time FIA has called for someone in my family but always in the early morning hours.  The last time we received a call from this number, it was around 6AM on a Saturday morning.  I think these bozos are from the East Coast and are clueless about the time differences. After doing a number look-up on Google, I saw that the number was associated with B of A.

We have no debts for them to collect, so I don't know why they keep calling us. Reported them to B of A once already when we received the first call because we thought that it may have had something to do with our refinance, but this morning they called asking for our adult son who no longer lives with us.  Do debt collectors call the debtor's family?

They are a debt collector and to those who say they are calling to collect a debt because we don't pay our bills think again.  I have a total of zero accounts that are carrying a balance besides my mortgage and my car...both of which I have never been later with and both of which are with a credit union.  They refused to give me information as to how they had me in their sights.  Beware.  There's something incredibly shady going on.  I will run my credit today to ensure some loser isn't out there opening cards in my name.  If not, we all know how shady this company is then!

I'm telling you, BoA are some of the more friendly people to deal with when it comes to collections if you are upfront and honest. I was way behind on over $40,000 in credit and when I finally got up the courage to call them I was surprised how easy it was to work with them. Granted you need to have a solution to the problem and that usually means you need to start sending money in. One other option is to get onto an established Debt Management Plan. I have found success with a company called Family Means who will not swindle you, but are actually caring folks who want to help and do it for very little in return.

FIA is not a third party debt collector. It is part of Bank of America and FIA used to grant credit before BoA absorbed them into their operations. Deal with them before they sell your debt to someone else and you have true zombie debt collectors coming after you who are far more relentless to prey on you with lawsuits that are filed by the hundreds.

I received a call last night from this #. A very nice lady left a message on my voicemail but I have yet to return it. I didn't recognize the company until I googled the # here.

Unfortunately, I really don't want to deal with this today. But I will.
