I just recieved a call from this number.  The call initially took time to connect, so when "Jeff" came on and started his spiel, I asked him who he was and why he was calling me since we were on the "do not call list."  He answered as if I'd asked him how he was doing.

He asked me some small talk type of question, which I ignored, and asked him again who he was, and why he was calling.  He then switched tactics and started asking me if I remembered him (what, Jeff, with the thick accent calling me at supper time from an "unknown name" 800 number?, Oh, that Jeff and I go way back...).

What a load, so I hung up on him.  He had the never to call back, which I did not answer and (my buddy) Jeff left no message.  Must have been legit...

Anyway, a quick search shows the number belonging to a "Wu-Yi Tea" weight loss suppliment company, but I rather suspect it was some sort of fraud.

I filed a complaint with the CRTC, and thought about reporting it to the police, but haven't yet.

This guy had what I would call an Indian accent and he was selling some kind of tea to make you lose weight. He asked for mrs.............  I told him I wasn't interested and hung up before he could answer me. I am supposed to be on the no call list but I guess that is a thing of the past

They called me and wanted to speak with the owner of the house, who wasn't here. I asked the guy the reason why he needed to speak with him but he just continued asking for the owner. I was more insistent than him and I got the reason: house solution. I said gently to him that all the people in the house weren't interested in any house solutions. His response was he wasn't selling anything and he needed to speak with the owner of the house again. Hellooo! My kindness was so great that he got crazy and rude (with himself cause I didn't care at all). Ahaha. He hung up at the end...
Now the number is under "Have fun" in my contacts and I will answer again when I don't spend money on my cellphone.

They appear to be changing tactics...no number showed up
I just spent near 15 minutes with a lady that I could hardly understand. She wouldn't take NO for an answer. I had the time today, so I let here prattle on and on, asking silly questions only made her start over again.
I know they are only trying to make a living, but I think their pay is performance based and the only way they will leave me alone is to waste their time.
My goal is to have her say my name so many times that shes going to have nightmares next time she sees it.
I rate it successful if THEY hang up on ME.
Oh- before she hung up on me we talked about the weather and skiing, she wished me a Merry Christmas....4 days late!  Ha

They called me once in the evening. The guy said he was calling from Ontario. I said, "I'm in Ontario. What part of Ontario are you calling from?" He said he was calling from Ontario, California.

He asked me about my health. He mentioned several problems including obesity and that if I had any. I said, "no" and that I am totally healthy. But anyway, he wanted to send me a "free" shipment of Wu Yi tea. Then he says I would have to pay shipping charges. (To me, that isn't free.)

He gave me his name and I asked him to spell it out. The name given was Avvy Bennon. That's a double "v" in the first name. Rhymes with "savvy". His operator number was 1493.

He put me on with his supervisor. I told the guy that the deal isn't free if you have to pay shipping charges. I said I didn't want to pay. So he hung up.

Apparently, after you get the free shipment, you receive automatic monthly shipments of the stuff and they bill you about $60 for each shipment. It is difficult to cancel.

People have said you can find the tea in some stores for as low as 49¢ a box!

Their website is: www.originalwuyi.com which even has the gall to mention other diet products as scams.

Google "Wu Yi Tea Complaints" and you can do plenty of reading.

A lady called me from Ontario, selling Wu Ye Tea. We talked for 8 minutes... She asked about my weight, my height... my age (I lied)... when she asked if I was married, I refused to answer of course. I said I had a stash of various healthy teas already. Be cautious with them, I doubt being married makes a difference with teas!

Got a call at 10pm from this Wu Yi Tea outfit.
Said he was in Ontario.
Informed him he was violating telemarketing laws by calling so late.
He insisted that he was authorized to call because he was taking care of my health.
I informed him he was not authorized, and asked for his phone number.
He gave me my phone number. I insisted that, no, that's my phone number. What's your phone number?
He ended the call.

Original Wu Yi Chinese Tea company has been asked on numerous occasions to stop calling, but they still persist.
Their 800 number can be called - just sit on the line and listen to the recording and then don't say anything to them.  Try and do a call block on your own number, is you can, so they cannot identify you.  They may try to use call trace and call you back, but so what?  Just pick up the phone and don't say anything.  They will hang up.

Here is another way to f*** with them if they persist in bothering you.  If you can do conference calling on your line, call the 800 number and then hit the flash key and call the 800 number again.  Then connect both together by hitting the flash key and listen to the recordings.  The first call goes through to the telemarketer who sits there saying hello to the second message.  It can be fun to listen to when the second telemarketer picks up the second call.  One usually ends up accusing the other of calling him.

Also, 800 numbers cost money.  Each time you connect with them the clock starts ticking.  Maybe if enough people call them and rack up the bills for them, they will go out of business.

Called my phone the other day. Came up on the display as V07070318570014. Obviously I did not answer. Did not leave message. I called back and got a stupid recorded message claiming to be the Original Wu Yi Chinese Tea company and their tea reduces weight/fat. I didn't bother to wait for a customer service rep. Feel free to f*%k with them at will if you like. I couldn't be bothered.

Telemarketer claiming to give something for free.  I said I was not intersted and asked to be put on their do not call list. He continued to try and sell me the product.  I told him no and repeated to put me on the do not call list.  He said if I hang up he will call me 100 times. I said no you won't because I will block your number and then I hung up.  He did in fact call back and I pretended I was a recording that said "You're call has been blocked. I didn't hear back from him again.
