This is a reverse 911 call from National Grid. You don't have to be a customer to get this call. They are notifying you of the upcoming storm and leaving a contact number for anyone who needs to call in a power outage. You can go ahead and answer this one and listen to the recording. If you don't want to know about the approaching storm connect to the call and then hang up.

This number was given out on radio today by a National Grid Rep..  It was announced as a number for services.  I had just called NG to see if any progress had been made with restoring power in my area after Hurricane Irene 'BLEW' through.  We lost power at 11 AM Saturday--  restored 25+ hours today after noon.

This is the customer service line for National Grid Electric. Either they are calling regarding a past due bill, or for general customer service issues.

it's national Grid, I have spoken with them once about a past due about which note, I gave them 300 last month and now they want another 279 when the bill is really 160.00. They call me 5 times a day from 7am - 9pm. I am unemployed can't afford what's there damanding, and they aren't nice at all, not to mention, I have a 3 year old. They need to fix the rule about 12months and younger not getting shut off, if you have a child under the age of 14 then they shouldn't be aloud to shut you off. When will they hire american speaking people too. ??? How can I report them for harrasment???

Got a call from 1(800) 322-3223 today - power was out for a couple hours in my area and when the power came back on, this number called me.  Left no message.  It seems to be just an automatic calling service that's malfunction!  :-)

It appears to really just be the national gird credit department.  I got a call this morning, and it was apparently a notice that they offer financial assistance.

They called me today from 800-322-3223 at 8:55am CT and a machine voice said "to accept press #, to leave a voicemail press #". Confused and a bit upset. This is the third call and they all say the same. Makes no sense at all.

They called today at 5:30 am and again at 7:00am with no voicemail and it was due to a service interuptoin but not affecting my area!?! Again automation which sometimes reaches a wider audience though not always helpful!

These aren't always going to be bad calls, folks.

I believe these calls are automated through National Grids computer system and are scheduled to call customers a week prior to a new billing cycle. Even if you are only behind a small amount they will still call. Computers do not reason very well and just do what they are programmed to do. The same goes with any termination notices that are sent through the mail, they also are automated. Less human intervention means less compassion = bills being paid. Welcome to the future. :(

It's National Grid.  I have received termination notices from then when only being one pay cycle behind and for less than $200 on my total bill.  Paid last months total and half of the bill I just received two days ago yesterday and this morning I get a call?

i got a call from this number today for the first time and they left a message.  They called and left an automated message letting me know that there are programs for the state of Mass to help assist with heating costs during the winter and gave a bunch of info and numbers and websites to call if i was interested.  It wasnt through National Grid though.

It's National Grid, and they provide gas and electric.  If you call it back and want to bypass the annoying voice recognition, just hit 0, then 2 to reach their credit department and find out why they're pestering you.  Interestingly, in their message the ask that you call 888-211-1313, which seems like a direct line to their credit department, but still tries to put you through their voice recognition system.

I believe it's also against the law for them to call more than once a day, but I'd have to review the Fair Credit code to be sure.

SAME HERE!  Starting this week, I've received three calls a day from this number and did not receive a voicemail until the 5th call.  I tried calling the number back and all I got was a what I assume is a prank since it sounds someone slurping the end of a soda!

finally, after five calls, they left a message.
national grid wants me to call them about a past due bill (I think)
not sure if it is gas or electric, but like I said before, nothing is past due for more than 1 billing cycle and typically, the past due amount is less than 75 bucks...
Still, I owe, I owe, so off to work I go...
