We get called 4-10 times a day. How can this stop? Annoying to say the least.

This is not Bank of America. It's a collection services company based in Franklin TN that collects debts on behalf of medical centers and hospitals. I apparently had an outstanding balance on a bill that I thought I had paid a while ago. It was only $25 so needless to say I took care of it immediately!

Why would someone as important and highly regulated as the debt collection department of a major bank (Bank of America) have an untraceable number and be able to provide verifying information over the phone? Because this is a fraud!! SCAM!! Ripoff!!!
Under no circumstances give out personal information to these "people". Any such business should be conducted in writing. These people try to get your personal information and I guarantee they will use it for ID theft. There are few guarantees in life, but that's one of them.
Be warned!!

SCAM!! Its not Bank of America. Don't give out any personal information, especially anything like a credit card. Ask for any claims in writing, they won't do it. Because its a fraud.
They have been calling my house for months. I have looked in to it. These people are not Bank of America! Don't fall for it.

This is a scam aimed to extract personal information and credit card information from you. They claim to be Bank of America attempting to collect on a delinquent account. A reverse look-up shows no owner (Hhmm?). The caller does not know your account numbers and will refuse to even speak with you until you reveal potentially damaging information like your SS# (in part). Don't fall for it. Bank of America would never conduct their business in such a cloaked fashion, they are not allowed to.
If this call makes you concerned about your accounts call BoA yourself to confirm the status of your accounts. I guarantee they will know nothing about these calls. This is not Bank of America, it is con-artists appealing to your vulnerability.

This number calls my house 4-10 times a day saying they are Bank of America and have personal banking information they need to discuss. They ask for personal information such as address and part of social security number. From here they proceed to claim I owe money on a delinquent account, the number of which they cannot provide, and demand payment over the phone. I didn't continue but instead called Bank of America to see what was happening. They had no record of the phone calls, none of my accounts are outstanding and they told me they would never cold call my house about such a matter. This is a fraud!! Probably trying to extract credit card and other personal information using fear as their tactic. Under no circumstances give them any personal information. These people are a well oiled fraud machine. The moment you give them the information you can bet it is flying around the internet looking for a buyer.
