I got a call from that number five times in the past week. It's extremely annoying, and now that I've seen this website and all the comments, I'm glad I've never answered.

Rogers is playing cheap tricks. As a Rogers customer, I did not allow them to call me with any marketing offer, so they are using 3rd party spam companies. Something legal should be done!

Said they were calling for rogers. Asked him two simple questions he could not answer. On top of that they are a call centre from out of Canada, way to go Rogers. Nice to keep the jobs in Canada.

I just rec'd a call from 1-800-336-0461 as well, stating they were calling on behalf of Rogers- trying to verify that I'm getting the best features for my service plan. They tried getting me to confirm my full address etc but I stopped them mid-convo and asked what they were offering (he seemed annoyed & stated we needed to confirm info first before looking into things)  I advised I would contact Rogers directly. Obviously some sort of scam..gr.

Just got a call from that number as well, when they asked for my pin I refused and the guy told me they would keep calling and would not proceed without my pin.  I then called *611 and Rogers told me they had no affiliation and when she looked into the phone number she said it was reported several times and not to provide them with any confidential information.

This number has been calling me almost daily between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm. I have no interest in speaking with a 3rd party marketing company! If I have an issue or concern I will call Roger's directly. I personally feel Roger's should discontinue this practice, it's a negative reflection on your company!

They have been calling EVERY SINGLE DAY while I'm in class, when I'm commuting, etc...I picked up just now to tell them off, but no one said anything. I heard something while I was about to hang up, but it was too late. STOP CALLING ME.

I just talked to Rogers and this number is legitimate, and they confirmed that they do have third party companies advertising and upselling their products, however there are a few companies out there that are scamming so they gave me tips to distinguish between the legitimate companies and the scammers.

If they are calling on behalf of Rogers:
- they should only ask for your date of birth and or first and last name.
- they should be able to provide an ID number along with their number

*if you don't want calls like this anymore you can opt out on your Rogers account. There's a box that says to receive marketing calls and such you can uncheck it, and it acts as a DND call list*

Hope this helps!

I've already told them I know what I have and I'm not changing anything. Had to hang up on them because they kept talking when I said I was at work and couldn't and didn't want to talk to them. Now they call me every day. Next time they call I will give them the fake bday and see what they say.

I'm getting harassed. The first time i answered this call about a week ago the person had a HEAVY indian accent but seemed EXTREMELY professional. I mean it could have been a canadian call center because the quality of service was not bad at all. However i couldnt talk because i was at work and i asked for a call back. I've been getting calls everyday between 3pm and 3 am with dead air every time i answer!!! im calling rogers to remove me from their marketing lists and block this number from my phone,

I haven't answered one of their calls yet, but i think I will give them an incorrect DOB and pin and see if they 'accept' it or not.
If they say the DOB is incorrect, then they must be getting it from somewhere (eg. rogers), but if they say the DOB is correct, then we know for sure that they are just phishing for information.

Thank you so much for that information, Joy.  I will definitely dial *611 the next time they call and I get asked for my DOB and other information.  They've called twice and unfortunately I didn't get to the call on time.

A week after I started mobile service with Rogers, I started to get these. That was 3 weeks ago.

They tried to talk to me on 4 occasions. First time I picked up, it seems they couldn't hear me. Second time, I was able to pick up and spoke with a guy. I asked ask DOB and postal like the other people have said. He said he was calling about my service, to explain it. I told him I know what all my terms are; that it was clearly explained to me at the Rogers store when I signed up. He persisted by saying some people don't know how much data they have. I repeated not only did I get all the facts and agree to them before signing on to the plan, I also checked usage details and things like data remaining online and it all looks okay. I told him I had to go.Third time, I picked up but didn't say anything. Fourth time, a day after the previous one, I didn't even pick up.

If I explained to them already that I know what I bought, that I agreed to pay for it monthly henceforth, and that all they are calling about is to know that I know what I bought, then why persist day after day?!

In all cases where I picked up the call, it sounded like a noisy crowded all center where they must be like side by side and/or they have lousy microphones. All of them had Indian accents. There are some clues in their grammar that they are also physically located in India.

They are probably outsourced from Rogers. So in that sense, they are "legitimate". But for what gain, I don't know. What do they really want?

Got a call from Rogers 8:30pm. Second time in two days. Didn't pick up. I heard a girl's voice ask 'So, if it goes to voice mail can I play around with the system?' Then I hear incoherent talk in the background - tried to listen more carefully but can't pick up what her boss is saying to her - she's asking something back.
This is majorly concerning, spooky. I don't have phone service with Rogers. It's with Bell. What kind of way can they possibly 'play around with the system?'
If it's Bell or Rogers or 000000 number I don't answer. I'll call them if I want something from them.
What's going on ??????

Called Rogers *611 again and asked the representative to confirm whether this is a Rogers #. The representative asked if the call happened at (certain time) and it was correct. She said that this is in fact a call from the Rogers sales team. They were just calling about my services. The representative also said Rogers may ask for DOB and postal code for validation, but we can always end the call and dial *611 if we're uncomfortable providing such information to an inbound call.
