If at all possible, do not ever speak to the callers from India. They have one job: get your money. They will try all sorts of tactics to get you to commit to payments you might not be able to meet. And they will absolutely not talk to you about any options you may have available to ease your mortgage woes.

The Texas office is 877.304.3100. Call them with any concerns you have, and avoid the 'diversity' of the Indian call center completely. I have talked with the Texas office a few times over the years, and they themselves have no real love for the collections department. It's almost as if they operate as two separate entities.

To really make them mad ask them to speak to a us agent only! just found out you can do that.

Thats exactly what I'm doing!  They got enough money from me.  If they want the houe so much (and it appears that they do.  I'm just going to leave the keys in the door).  You can have it!

I don't pay my mortgage... I don't want my house anymore....  These guys (AHMSI) keep calling.  Sometimes I pick up and just breath into the phone, awkwardly.  The nice thing is they typically only have 1 or 2 similar numbers.  So just store it into your phone and don't answer when they try calling back.

They ask me to stay on the phone until a rep becomes available.

I never, ever answer the phone unless I know who it is. Never. And I will only deal directly with the creditor, never a 3rd party. If they leave a message, you can call them back when you are in a frame of mind to deal with it. Or send them a letter. But there's not much they can do if you are less than 30 days behind.

Just handle your business as best you can, but don't let these people stress you out.

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number for a week or so, several times per day. Every time, they ask for the same two people, two people that I do not know and do not carry around MY cell phone all day.  For the last two days, I have asked each caller to take the number off their list because they have the wrong number. I am hoping that today, it worked.

You are an a** and an idiot.  Keep your negativity to yourself and I am quite sure that you have far more debt accrued than those who have posted their true discontents.

American Home Mortgage (previously Option One)  

Their collection team will call you three to four times a day.  Never leaves message.  They don't even answer if you call back.  It goes to a machine first.  Does not matter if you have sent your mortgage in or not.  If it is not credited by the 5th they will call you multiple times a day, just for you to say that it has been sent or even taken out of your account.  Mine goes ACH.  They don't post it for two days after it is taken out of my account and they still call.  It happens every month.  I don't answer any more.

I have the same issues with them.  The problem is that I have a son in Afghanistan and I can't ignore the calls.  This company calls under UNAVAILABLE and several different numbers all day long!  I am so sick of it.  I understand that I am 28 days behind but I am so sick of being told that IF I PAID MY BILLS ON TIME I WOULDN'T BE GETTING THESE CALLS.  I am so sorry that some of us live one paycheck to the next and that I lost my job this year because I worked for a company that was foreign owned and after they hired another new regional manager that was a foreigner she decided to replace many of us with oh, you guessed it, more foreigners because they could speak spanish and we couldn't.  If I was a foreigner I would have the money to pay my bills.  I hate to have that attitude but right now I am paying up the ying yang in fees for being late and am losing my car because of it.  I am so tired of the harrassment all the time!  I feel bad enough already for not being able to pay my bills on time.  I DON'T NEED SOME FOREIGNER NOT EVEN IN AMERICA CALLING ME AND HARRASSING ME EVERYDAY INCLUDING SUNDAYS WITH 5 TO 10 CALLS A DAY!

My mortgage is auto debited by Option One and they still call me 2-3 times a week, Its very annoying!

I too have a mortgage with Option and it is "serviced" by America Home Mortgage Servicing Incorporated.(AHMSI) I sometimes think the two do not correspond with each other, I get calls also reminding me, my payment is due. It has nothing to do with being late. It is annoying.

Spoke with them earlier in the day , made arrangements. Now they keep calling the same day 6 times so far. No messages left on voicemail. Something has got to be done about this. Let's bring the jobs back to AMERICA !!!!

Same thing happened to me so I just called my law firm, they sent a cease and desist letter...no more calls. I didnt pay a dime because my neighbor was "pushy" and sold me a PrePaid Legal membership...I LOVE HER!!

Husband recieved a call from 800-648-9605 (Option One) we don't have a mortgage with them as it was included in bankruptcy 2 YEARS ago! WHat the heck is this about!? He has health problems and doesn't followup on things like he should, lies about stuff actually.

Best way is lock there number in your phone with a DO NOT Answer and hit ignore button

This company is being investigated by the Ohio Attorney General's office. Also look up complaints and the BBB.

They call and call but I have caller ID and just ignore them. I pay my loan, they should be happy that I do since the property is a rental, currently vacant, and way upside down. I decided to pay the penalty by paying the last week of the month. If they don't like that, then they can pile this property on top of all the others they are getting back.

I get calls from them all the time. The payment isn't due until the 15th. Until now I always have paid by the 15th, but since they are such jerks I will start paying at the end of the month with their penalty. It's a rental property which now has a market value of less than 1/2 of the note outstanding. So if they get real obnoxious they are going to receive a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure, then they can toss this on their pile of "troubled assets." They better be happy that I still pay them. I screen my calls and don't answer......they have left all sorts of BS on my answering machine. They will get paid when I do, so it will be at the end of the month with their penalty..............they don't like that......tough!....they will now own a repo. Don't let these goofballs scare you, they have so many repo's it is taking 18 months for them to process them.

Option One Mortgage Customer Service (Obtained From Reverse Directory Service) is an Abnnoyance and Persistent Caller, Calling 3 to 5 Times Per Day starting ehe 2nd day of the Month, each and Every Month.  My Mortage is Due on the Firstt of the Month, but I have Repeatedly I Pay by the 15 th of the Month, as I Must Wait for the Deposit of My Social Security Cherck to be Deposited.  This is a very Inscrupulous Company that has Only One Front Line Gate Keeper Access and All Contacts are Demanding, Rude at Times and Resistant to Making Any Call Stopping Arrangements.  If there are Laws that Restric this Activity, then These People Should be Locked Up and the Keyy Thrown Away.
